Excellent base for a family holiday in the Highlands. Homely and comfortable with everything you need. After a small problem with the oven, the owners got it sorted out and the communication from them was spot on. Would highly recommend poppy lodge and will be re-booking for next year's holiday. Boat of Garten is perfectly placed if you like an active holiday with beautiful walks and bike tracks and five minutes from Aviemore.

Well located lodge, lots of walks nearby, hotel and restaurant were very good and within 5 minute walk. Very clean and well equipped lodge giving us a comfortable stay.

The property is very cozy. It has all facilities that we needed for our stay. It is also will located, we could visit many places, enjoying our trip knowing that at the end of the day, we would be back to a nice and safe place.

The lodging was a bit tricky to find, however the Host was available to give all directions we need.

Not a lot of work surface space to prepare food on. Not any spare towels no DVD player and Netflix didn’t work as internet wasn’t very good.

Location superb ,facilities first class ,wouldnt hesitate to stay again ,so much to see and do in the area ,weather was good to which was a bonus !

if towels are to be charged separately this must be very clearly stated in the description, remove photos with towels etc. also update photos to remove DVD collection etc as no longer have this post covid. v disappointed in boat of garten holiday park owners that they still don’t provide recycling facilities on site even though the waste Scotland regulations came into force in 2012 and it is a legal requirement. I will contact the park owners separately about this. it sets a terrible example to all visitors in such an area of natural beauty that we don’t even recycle our waste and dump it all in together with food.

The lodge was a perfectly ideal place for us. It was compact but equipped with everything we needed. Its surrounding was very tranquil and safe. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We would highly recommend it!!!
