Ballingarry is located 30 mins Southwest from Kilkenny. It is a very quiet small town, which we were looking for. The lodge is a separate house with all you need. The family was very welcoming and nice. We would definitely come back here and recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a quiet out of the city stay.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was perfect for the two of us. Had all we needed and a little extra from the host 😊. The host’s were quick to respond to any requests and respected our privacy, which was greatly appreciated. The cottage is about 50 yards or less from the main house, but never any noise issues. The location worked for us, we had a rental. We were able to travel to Killarney, Kerry Cliffs, Waterville, Glendalough, Kilkenny and a few more places. It took a little over 2 1/2 hours to get to Kerry Cliffs one way and 2 1/2 hours the other way to Glendalough. We highly recommend the location if you have a vehicle and the host’s were great!!!

This immaculate, tastefully decorated apartment is perfectly located for exploring this area of Southeast Ireland. The peaceful country setting offers beautiful views of the surrounding Irish countryside.
Even better than the accommodation were the hosts! Avril and Michael graciously anticipated our every need and were available to answer questions and offer suggestions for touring. This lovely family and their friendly dogs (as well as their cute pony) made our stay memorable and exceptional.

The lodge was very clean and modern. It is set in beautiful countryside . The hosts had left a book with all sorts of useful information even down to wifi code. Thank you so much for our lovely short stay. My daughter loved your pony. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ballingary Upper at this adorable guest house. We wanted to be "off the grid" in the countryside for a couple of nights, so it was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 pre teens). The owners are lovely and very responsive to any questions. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great accommodations, nice area. Tried the local take away and was not disappointed. The horse and the dogs were friendly. Got info for things to do. Went on a walk on a trail, very nice.

Cozy property with great hosts
Hosts are very responsive. The property is a cozy, well-supplied, guesthouse that was renovated from a former stable. The hosts provide a guest book that has all the information needed for the property as well as suggestions on sites to visit and restaurants they recommend. (Highly recommend Fly Dragon for Chinese food - it's a small hole in the wall that is carry-out only but the food is fantastic!)

Very nice holiday home with a nice view of the surroundings. Nicely tastefully decorated plus top for me when the morning waiting for you in front of the house is a pony that forms a good environment. Excellent hosts.Suitable for a family of 4.

Excellent accomodation and friendly athmosphere
We stayed at The Lodge for 3 days and it was well worth the money. Avril and Michael were super hosts and the house was spotless. The outside garden and views made it very easy to sit in the evenings. The house is central to Kilkenny, Carrick On Suir, Clonmel. Avril gave plenty of information in the welcome pack too. Freshly baked scones with Jam and butter on arrival are only a couple of the things she went out of her way to provide. Would highly recommend the Lodge as a base for visiting the surrounding areas.
