Lovely little house, very clean and in a great location right next to the beach and local amenities. Just a short walk in to the main village which is lovely and has a couple of nice pubs and a convenience store. Parking right outside the house on the drive. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need and the beds were very comfortable. All towels and bedding provided were nice and fresh. Whitehaven is also well worth a visit as it's a nice walk around the harbour area and plenty of good eating places. The owner let us stay a little longer on our check-out day which was very handy for us with our child and very much appreciated.

Everything was great aside from the house backs on to the hotel reception area which was quite noisy some evenings due to functions and live music etc. But again, it's also handy to have a bar nearby, so not all bad!!

Location was great. House was lovely. Clean & tidy. Didn't meet the host, but any questions asked were answered within half an hour or earlier.

The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. My partner returned home to get our blow up mattress, and we slept on that instead.

Couldn't fault the house at all. It was super well positioned for the beach and coastal path. We were pleased to visit St Bees and understand a bit more about the coastal area of the Lake District.

The house is fantastic, the owner has thought of everything you could possibly need! We stayed with our 3yr old and our dog and felt so comfortable the whole time we were there.

Self catering. Was unaware it was part of a terraced complex. The view out front was the other houses/cars and the view out back was a busy hotel area with guests walking right by kitchen window.

The fact that the 'lovely coastal house' was only lovely in the inside. Outside as described above. Also, there was a strange smell in the house, especially strong also in the bedding.

Great location, quiet and convenient. Perfect for the beach which is an ideal place for dog walking. Property is lovely and warm, well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Great location near the beach . Very well equipped. Nice full size fridge/freezer. Great walk in shower. High speed internet. Very quiet estate. Great for a whole family trip. Lots of games, colouring etc provided for young children.

The only down side was the sofa bed but you can't get a bed in the lounge/diner/kitchen area! We knew it was a sofa bed when we booked.

Outstanding property. Well equipped, very clean, quiet, comfortable, safe, and well decorated. Good wifi (we were able to stream Amazon Prime video with no problem) St. Bees is a premier destination in the western Lake District, and we're were glad to score this stay. Would love to come back sometime.

No mirror in the bath room? What's with that? The only other comment is that a user manual for the washer/dryer would have been helpful. Took us a while to figure it out. Also, the coordinates are wrong for the location of the house. Booking should change this. Without the good directions from Mandy, we would have had a hard time finding it.

The property is situated close to the beach and a short walk from the village .It was exceptionally clean and tidy and had everything we needed . Beds were comfy and we slept well as the house is in a cul de sac in a quiet residential area . There was great communication between us and the host .

The living room was a little dark ( as was the back bedroom )as the windows are small and don’t let in much light . There were lamps to use though so it was ok .

The cottage was exceptionally clean. Well furnished and equipped. It was warm , vital after a brisk and blustery walk on the beach.

Only things that i missed but would have loved was a outside sitting area and a dishwasher. Then again this was reflected in price as cottage would have attracted a higher rental.
