Apartment is immaculately taken care of and has everything you'd need to get away in the mountains. Great mountain views and peaceful quietness. Bed was comfortable and accommodations were great! Greg and Gwen were great hosts and lovely to talk to. Would definitely stay again.

The Nest is a cozy place! We loved it. It is perfect for a couple. We came up to ride motorcycles, but the weather was not great. Also, we didn't realize how far up the mountain the Nest was and the road was curvey and had ruts in it -- we braved it one day on the bike when the weather was good.

We enjoyed every second of our stay! Greg and Gwen were so welcoming and accommodating! The Nest was so clean and cozy! 5 Stars all day!

This place was very new, clean, and comfortable. The hosts were very gracious. This was close to a lot of restaurants and activities.

We stayed at the Nest for an extended weekend trip. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a place to merely lay your head down for the night. The Nest is clean and provides the essentials needed. The location is perfect with easy access to Maggie Valley and Waynesville. The hosts are the best that we have come across, welcoming and willingness to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

This is a beautiful property. We really enjoyed our stay. We loved sitting out back on the deck in the morning & evening. I felt that it was a bit scary getting up the mountain, & I wish we had brought our 4 wheel drive vehicle rather than the Camaro convertible that sits very low. The roads up to the property are not all paved, so just be aware. Of course I live in TX in the hill country, but no mountains, so not used to mountain driving. Also, the only thing to cook on is a microwave in the kitchen, but we managed very well. Yes, I recommend this property for a short relaxing getaway.

Our stay at the Nest was wonderful! Greg and Gwen are friendly hosts and we enjoyed visiting with them (and meeting their dog). Their place is up in the mountains and is quite beautiful and peaceful. We hiked to a nearby waterfall and loved having our morning coffee on the deck. The Nest is a wonderful place for a couple's getaway!!

My fiancé and I went for a late Valentine's trip and it was amazing! It was the perfect little loft above the homeowners garage. The views were amazing! Going up the mountain was a total adrenaline rush, looking over the edge of the mountain was unbelievable. There was also a peaceful little stream that was so relaxing. The hosts were amazing and made us feel completely at home and didn't bother us at all! They were very respectful and knowledgeable about the area! The location is very close to good restaurants and activities, we loved downtown Waynesville. If you go you should definitely check out a restaurant called The Sweet Onion, the food was AMAZING and very family friendly. We would definitely go back!

The pottery is exactly as it is listed and better than we could have imagined. Greg and Gwen are super hosts (treated us like family). Nice and quiet with many things to do in the surrounding towns. We will definitely go back!!

This cabinet is just what we were looking for to get away for the weekend. It is so cute and comfortable and cozy. It was very clean and had everything you need. Will definitely stay here again.

The Nest was perfect for us and we had a great time. The setting was gorgeous, especially with the fall colors. Gwen and Greg were very responsive to our needs and questions. We will be back!

This is the most comfortable, beautiful place I have ever stayed!!! Greg and Gwen are the best hosts, they made us feel like we were part of the family!!! They made sure we had everything we needed, they are wonderfully blessed, gracious, humble people!!! The Nest is all 2 people need! Was as shown in the pictures. Everything you need right there at the Nest. Everything is comfy and cozy, beautiful views!! A piece of Heaven on this earth!! We started our mornings with Greg's devotional book on the coffee table. Because of the rain we were invited for an evening of fellowship, apple pie and tea in front of the fire pit, which meant so much to us!! It was a wonderful time with them!! I can not say enough about this beautiful hideaway or Greg and Gwen!! We are definitely planning a trip back in the spring!! Thank you Greg and Gwen for such a beautiful place for 2 people to spend time together!!!

This is a great little apartment above the garage. Perfect for a mountain getaway. Winding drive up to the location, fantastic view of Maggie Valley below. The hosts are a wonderful couple who are eager to make you comfortable.

The owners are very accommodating and the area is very clean with some little trails and a cool treehouse. The owners will send directions that are very easy to follow. I did find that the apple maps were very accurate to the directions they sent. However, you would want to rely on the written directions for your first trip in to make sure your phone doesn't take you the backway. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing 28th anniversary getaway!

The Nest is a very clean, cozy cabin with great views and close to town. It is built as an 'above the garage' apartment, so be prepared to walk up stairs to get to it. The owners are extremely nice and made the stay enjoyable. The cabin was very clean with a comfortable bed. It is great for one or two people who want some downtime without the noise and interaction of a hotel. The road into the cabin is a little rough in places, but overall, bike friendly. Google maps will not get you here, so make sure you get directions from the owners.
