Dena was very kind to pick us at the ferry dock - The car is definitely is huge bonus as it can get difficult to find one on the island - The apartment was clean and well equipped (well except only AC in 1 bedroom) The road is a little noisy.

We love this property. The AC in the master bedroom is a nice touch but wasn’t needed. Short 7 minute drive to downtown Cruz Bay and the beaches of North Shore. Paddle board and fins that were at the condo are amazing! So much fun for our kids. And all the beach chairs were great. The Jeep wrangler is perfect for the island and saved us a lot of money. Will definitely stay again!!

We were a group of 5 adults and 1 6 yo kid. The fact that the property came with a car big enough to hold all of us was a steal. The property itself was in a good location just 5-10 minutes away from Red Hook. Fold out sofa in the living was surprisingly comfortable. All in all we would definitely stay at the property again.

My second time visiting and it won't be my last 😍. Quick and clear communication, clean and accurate pictures, very attentive property manager. This is what I set the bar for any other properties I visit in other places.

The property was clean and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay great. It’s located not too far from town off one of the main roads. With the kitchen equipped we were able to make a lot of our meals which saved us a lot of money from eating out. Having Dena meet us at the ferry and taking us to the condo was extremely helpful as we were still recovering from the taxi ride over 😳. Having a 7 passenger vehicle was perfect for all of us to travel around in. It did take some time getting use to the roads but by day 3 we were good. If you have motion sickness these roads will definitely trigger it but go slow and most people just go around you if they need to. Definitely a huge plus to already have the vehicle vs having to rent one. The pool was the perfect size for the kids to enjoy. Lots chairs to sit on of beautiful floral landscape to enjoy. There were 3 iguanas who would come out every morning to eat the flowers off a nearby tree. It was amusing to watch as we drank coffee on the deck. While it was pretty warm there is a good amount of breeze that flows through the windows making it comfortable to sleep at night with the addition of the fans running. Don’t bother packing lots of clothes I think we were in our bathing suits 80% of the time…lol. Swimming, snorkeling and hiking are all must do’s at St. Johns!! I would definitely come again and stay at Palmy Daze! Thank you Garet and Dena for making our stay wonderful!

This property was very clean. Well stocked for beach activities. Location is a little tricky to find but we made it. The driveway is a little bit of a challenge but we managed without issues. Communication with the host and owner were great!

This rental is awesome, and you can include use of the car for not much extra per day! We were picked up at ferry and dropped back off at the end of our stay, added service we found to be very helpful and it offsets the cost of including the vehicle. Deck space in the evening is heaven, beds very comfy, everything spotless and useful, beach chairs another cost effective (and provides freedom) added touch. There is nothing a would recommend the owner and manager change about this perfect rental offering on St. John. We'd be very likely to return here if we ever come back to the island.

We spent four days in St John and loved this property. Very convenient and great views. We liked staying up in the hills a bit instead of the more crowded Cruz Bay. But just a quick 5 min drive into town. Was huge plus to have a car with the property and Dena was very helpful. Condo easily holds 4 adults and was comfortable.

Not being familiar with St. John, we did not realize it was so hilly or that there were so many steps and steep incline to get into the property. That being said, it was just 5 minutes from Cruz Bay and having a car was definitely a plus. You definitely could not walk it. The only problem with having a car, any place you go in Cruz Bay, you have to pay to park the car. There is literally zero chance of getting any parking. Dena, the property manager, was so pleasant and prompt with any of our questions. The property was clean and spacious (there were six of us), with a view of the bay from the deck, and it had everything we needed. We were there for our grandson's wedding and needed to stay close to Cruz Bay, and this fit the bill. If you are adventurous, take the car (you drive on the left side of the road!) and go to the other end of the island (Coral Bay area) over what we called the Heart Attack Highway! Steep and very narrow roads but the various bays and water were gorgeous. Plenty of snorkeling and kayaking available. People everywhere were extremely friendly.

A short drive to and from Cruz Bay, it was nice and convenient to pop into town and a short drive to all the beaches. We especially appreciated having the use of the car with the rental of the property. Dena, the property manager was helpful, knowledgeable and available for whatever we needed, which wasn’t much, but she responded quickly the times we did. We would definitely recommend this rental for small families!

Had an awesome girls trip! Everything was exactly what it said it was and more. A few issues came up with neighbors new puppy noise and water leaking from the new roof, but the property manager was spot on it 👍. Handled everything and awesome follow up to make sure we were all set. I will definitely feel comfortable returning again with family. Looks like we found a new "always go" place! 😁👍 Thanks guys

This property is as they have described it. It truly is off the beaten path. It took a while to get used to the location and especially the driveway. Our two grandchildren, a 6-year old and a 4-year old, had to be watched at all times going to and from the van. It is on a steep slope and the driveway is in the middle of the slope. It was worth the hassle having the van included in the rental. We traveled with a party of 6. We had enough space. The only difficulty we had was the lack of air conditioning in the whole house. The master bedroom was airconditioned, but we had to keep the door shut to keep it cooled. There were three fans and ceiling fans in the other parts of the house, but no air conditioning. We had the pool to ourselves daily. We literally went all over the island, and there are many beautiful beaches to snorkle--all with crystal clear water. Sea turtles and stingrays swam right along shore. The underwater life was spectacular. We had a great trip.

Excellent condo for the price ! Plenty of room for the whole family, beds super comfortable, and very clean location. Was a bit worried about the upstairs not having air conditioning, but the breezes are sublime and refreshing! The floral and fauna around the condo and pool are beautiful, the sweet smell of the flowers fill the air. The pool is perfect. We stayed in the condo 8 days and only had two other people use the pool only one time during our stay. The owner Garet is incredibly accommodating and quick to respond. The property manager Dena is amazing. We had one small hiccup with the building washing machine and she answered our text immediately and had the problem fixed right away. Will stay again for sure !

We so delighted staying at this property. It was it better than described, and for us, the icing on the cake was the loaner beach chairs, noodles, coolers AND car. We appreciated that the kitchen had a variety of pots, pans, "Tupperware" so we could do food prep at the condo for our afternoons on the beach. We loved evenings at the pool. We left a few canned goods and not-quite-empty bottles of booze behind to help start the next guest on their vaycay. Communication with the owner was easy and helpful. I highly recommend!

Our stay was wonderful we loved having the pool also full kitchen. The only thing I would recommend is having chair cushions in dining room that fit the whole chair . Also did not like that we got a complaint from neighbors on our noise level at 9:30 pm .

We truly enjoyed our stay here. We were a large group ranging from 18 years to 59. There is so much space and EVERYTHING you could need to go to the beach and use the kitchen and bath. We were very appreciative of the coolers and beach tent available for the long beach days, along with the towels and chairs. Location was perfect for getting anywhere you wanted to on the island. The driveway is a little intimidating the first time, but after a couple attempts - you get very comfortable. We used the grill and pool deck most nights and very much enjoyed our time enjoying the cooler nights out there. If the pull out couch as a bed isn't something you are in to, there is plenty of space for an air mattress or two. There are plenty of extra pillows and sheets. If you are waiting to book this property - don't wait any longer. This is the one!

Palmy Daze had a fantastic deck with a great view. The apartment was comfortable and great for my young family. Close to Cruz Bay and groceries, North Shore road and beaches. Other tenants and neighbors were very friendly. The pool area was also a hit and the grill was nice for staying in for a home cooked meal.

The property was just as described and worked out great for us. It had everything we needed including kitchenware, coolers, beach chairs and more. It was relaxing to sit out on deck with nice views. The pool is also a bonus and coin op laundry on site. The owners rep contacted us on day of arrival which was very thoughtful and answered any questions quickly. I am happy we found this fantastic place and would stay again.

This is a wonderful property for a family getaway, the pool deck view is amazing and the condo was very comfortable. Thank you Garret for allowing me to show my family a wonderful time. The only nerve wrecking part is the steep driveway but if you are a seasoned STJ driver it gets a lot easier the more you do it, there's no paradise that comes with no cost.

We have stayed both in Coral bay and Cruz Bay and if you want to be close to town in Cruz Bay, close to supermarket, have a parking spot and a place with wonderful views and comfy beds, look no further. Consistent power and good water pressure, which if you’ve stayed on St. John before, you’ll know aren’t always easy to come by. Excellent location on the outskirts of Cruz Bay. Beautiful view from the huge balcony. Spacious for our family of 7 people. Comfortable layout. Well stocked kitchen - we made dinner each night. I used the community grill by the pool. My kids loved relaxing in the pool each evening at sundown. Easy drive into town. Dena was easy to contact if we had any questions. Great directions and YouTube video to find the property. It was so nice to have an assigned parking spot. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at palmy daze. The beds were new and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the pool was clean and peaceful. Town was a quick trip away and the views from the back deck were beautiful. Coming in to the house’s location, we were a bit skeptical due to an abundance of abandoned cars lining the streets but the house was exactly as pictured and was clean and quiet.

A great central location with a great view!

My family stayed on this property for 7 days in November 2021. The condo is beautifully appointed, with a gorgeous loft area that is accessed from a spiral staircase that juts from the living room. The architecture is unique, spacious, and affords a lovely view of the ocean line, a wonderfully shady palm tree, and a view of the community pool which is cusped with pink flowers and palm fronds. We spent a few sunsets enjoying the view and cooking lovely meals in the fully stocked kitchen. There is a downstairs bathroom and one right next to the loft in the second floor. Some things to note: 1. There are plenty of fans around the house, so you can always keep good circulation if you are hot. (As other reviews have stated, there's one A/C unit in the master bedroom.) 2. The couch can comfort to a sleeper, but be sure to flap down the back panel. 3. Parking is a bit challenging, since the parking is on a steep driveway, but our family got fairly used it after two or three attempts. The location is wonderful--you're within 6-7 minutes from downtown Cruz Bay. We loved it, and my mother kept raving about how lovely the space was. We'll definitely come back if Garrett will take us.

I just returned from a 8 night stay at Palmy Daze and I have to say, I never wanted it to end! I already miss the peaceful breezes that waft through the house, the scent of fresh flowers in the air from the beautiful gardens on the property and our nightly sunset swims in the pool. I traveled to St John with three friends and we found the property to be spacious with more than enough room for each of us to have our own separate space and sleeping areas. I slept in the master bedroom and was secretly excited to have the room with air conditioning but found that I did not need to use it at all! The house, like most things on St John, is situated on a hill overlooking the ocean and there is a nice breeze that blows throughout; that combined with ceiling fans in every single room, air conditioning just was not necessary. A pleasant surprise! Our two favorite features would have to be the deck, and the swimming pool – which we had entirely to ourselves! The deck is really an outdoor living space all in itself. We ate just about every meal out there, drank our morning coffee - enjoying the ocean views, and listening to the leaves of the palm trees blowing in the wind. Such a nice relaxing space. The pool is wonderful and a real treat after a day of adventuring around the island. Like everything else on the property, it is surrounded by lush colorful vegetation and provides a background of incredible ocean views with other islands in the distance. We enjoyed a daily traditional of golden hour/sunset swims that I would highly recommend! The owner and property manager were extremely nice and easy to get ahold of. I could also sense their own love of St John which only added to our experience! I would 100% stay here again. We are already planning out our trip for next year!

From the beach chairs and towels to the massive refrigerator and full kitchen, Palmy Daze had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, plus more! I slept on the upper level, and I was impressed by the comfort of the king bed and spacious shower. From this elevated vantage point, I could look out of the upper windows and gaze at the ocean from bed each morning. My next favorite spot was the deck, where views of the water and surrounding vegetation supplied many delightful mornings and soothing evenings. Each night, we watched the colors of the sky change as we waded in the pool. The owner and property manager were friendly and quick to respond when we had questions or needed assistance. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Palmy Daze and St. John's, U.S.V.I. are a great destination if you are looking to get away and chill on your vacation. The condo is centrally located just above Cruz Bay which is the primary location for restaurants, bars and shopping. Unlike "destination resorts" where you pretty much stay put on the property, St. John's is all about getting out and exploring. We would suggest renting a jeep so that you can come and go as you please. Palmy Daze served as a perfect home base for our week on the island. Our party consisted of two adult couples and we had ample room for privacy and hanging out as needed. The downstairs bedroom is air conditioned which is a nice bonus, but not absolutely necessary for comfort. My wife and I slept in the loft bedroom and we were always comfortable with the ceiling fan and the constant island breezes blowing in the through the open windows. We utilized the community pool daily for a morning dip and to relax each evening after a day on the beaches. The condo is well supplied with all that is needed for cooking and comfort. The owner also supplies beach chairs and an inflatable paddle board for use. Palmy Daze is a great home base on beautiful St. John's when you are ready for relaxing and exploring in the Caribbean.
