Musty smell in room No TV No milk with tea and coffee in room When ordering food asked waitress is lamb came with potatoes and liver came with veg and were told no so ordered these items as sides. When meals came the lamb had potatoes the liver some veg so the sides were unnecessary and a waste. Staff need to know what is going to be on a plate

I liked the friendly staff and lovely food . The room was comfortable. The place was clean and welcoming.

There was an issue with the plumbing, the water in the toilet kept running but other than that it was a lovely stay over .

Everything at the Bruce Arms was exceptional because the owners go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable: ambience of the pub, helpfulness of staff, quality of vegan dinner and breakfast, drinks in the bar, comfort of bedroom and bathroom, and it's dog-friendly. There are lovely walks in the pretty village and it's easy to get into the Dales from the pub.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean. Dogs were welcomed. As requested, management brought in a Birthday Cake for my husband, after our evening meal. Really good of them.

Surprised to find there was no TV in the room, also no wardrobe, just a couple of hooks on the back of the door. Car park only takes 5 cars and it is a very busy pub. Our car was parked with its rear next to the pavement, which meant we were unhappy to leave the dogs in the car while we ate.

Fabulous location , excellent food and exceptional service from Matt and the entire team. Will definitely return. I left some items in my room and these were boxed up and returned to me by next day special delivery. I couldn't fault anything.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable, location is excellent. Staff were friendly and the food was awesome.

Sleep interrupted by other guests being very boisterous at midnight. Not a fault of the owners but did impact my stay.

Drinks a little pricy. Dinner not £25 as indicated in booking documents, all food items individually priced, cost for 3 courses Around £40. , although exceptionally good. Need to amend booking documentation

the owner was so personable and the food in the restaurant was fantastic

nothing really, the room was basic but did the job. more than made up by the pub and restaurant which felt like a real treat for my group of 4.
