Loved this cottage! It had everything we needed and more. Me and my Husband really enjoyed our stay. Note that it is quite far from town. Totally my fault that I didn’t do more research on St. John and I found out there’s only 3 main roads that take 30-45 min to drive if you want to go get groceries, eat out, or go to the pharmacy like we had to do. As well as most beaches are far but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless 😊 I definitely recommend staying here.

This place in the hills is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend staying to anyone who enjoys something off the beaten path.

Cute studio cottage with all the amenities. Rustic and close to the National Park. Not a villa in site! Walking distance to Salt Pond Bay and Lameshure Bays and the Petroglyph trail to Reef Bay. Very sweet and quiet and away from all the hubbub of Cruz Bay. Miss Lucy's and Auqua Bistro are a few minutes away. All the best of St John.

Cleanest Cottage we ever rented. Bill and Emily are fantastic for sure. A short walk to Salt Pond Beach. Vitran bus stop close by. I'm 71 years my wife 65. We loved the hiking, snorkeling and the wild life viewing, excellent. We used public transportation the whole week. We got around easily. Git er dun. Steve and Laurie

Beautiful location. Make sure you get a car rental before staying here, otherwise lots of walking and trip coordination with bus.

Excellent stay just a few minutes away from an awesome beach with great snorkeling and hikes with gorgeous views. Would definitely come back. Host is very easy to communicate with and supplies a thorough package full of information about the area.

The cottages at Lameshur are quite unique. The cottages are on an isolated road on the east side of St John, down the road from Coral Bay. The cottage is a bit eclectic, but it has the convenience of a clean bathroom and WI-FI. There’s a nice beach walking distance from the cottage. The only drawback, since the toilet is attached to a septic tank, you can’t flush toilet paper down the drain. I loved staying at Lameshur and listening to the wind and wildlife while sleeping in the cottage.

The Lameshur Cottage was perfect for a quiet, restful stay with a great location, a short walk from Salt Pond Bay and a short drive to the Lameshur beaches and the hiking trails in the park.

I was very disappointed in the cottage almost immediately. We got there in the evening and when we crawled into bed we noticed hair and dirt in our sheets. There is also no AC making it one of the worst options to stay on on the island. I was also disappointed it is not within walking distance of any water or beaches or shops. I will not be returning and I wish I could get my money back.

Such a unique experience for a B&B next to the national park, gorgeous view of the jungle and no better place to wake up to. My friend loved sleeping on the patio in the netted open air bed and listening to all of the beautiful jungle sounds. Thank you again!

Bill and Emily were the best hosts ever! They were super inviting and accommodating! When we accidentally lost our rental keys in the ocean they came to the rescue and went above and beyond, making the whole trip very fun and enjoyable!

Beautiful, kind people stayed in the adjacent cottages to us. It was great getting to know them and learning about what's best to visit nearby. The cottages are not 4 star hotels, but they are so cute, well prepared (including snorkeling and paddle equipment!) and offer an intimate, yet clean, experience with nature. We loved our stay and took advantage of staying outside inside a mosquito netted bed for one evening, awakened by a beautiful sunrise over the hills. Also, Salt Pond Bay just down the road offered incredible snorkeling sights.

This little cottage was slightly more rough&rustic than we expected but we really liked it, had a great week! Plenty big enough for us two, comfortable & quiet. Great location, easy walking to Salt Pond Bay beach & hiking trails. Three times we bought locally-made dinner food from a roadside stand just 0.1 mi up the road.

Just the right amount of casualness, amenities, comfort and professional service. Bill and Emily are a delightful young couple making their way. Good vibes, great communication, wonderful spot.

Comfortable and sweet cottage. Great communication. They offered beach supplies (snorkeling gear, chairs, umbrellas) and that felt above and beyond for us. Short walk to Salt Pond Bay/Rams head trail, which was a lovely spot, and to two other rocky beaches. Just a general note for travelers to Saint John that there were limited options in Coral Bay for dining out and getting supplies. It seems that the pandemic has caused many businesses to struggle and there’s a shortage of waitstaff. That said, the owners were very helpful in recommending spots and helping us navigate the current situation!

We loved our 1 week stay at this beautiful classic cottage. Excellent bed, perfect sheets, great kitchen, with lovely porch. A gentle breeze kept it cool all day long. We walked to Salt Pond Bay everyday, sometimes twice. Nice place to swim and snorkel Great hiking up Ram Head. We rented a car, but the Vitran is just a 5 minute walk and seems to be running regularly. It is cozy, but we loved that. Can't wait to come back again. Thanks for a really great, much needed break from northern February!

Quiet remote location. Walking distance to 4 different beaches and National Park trails. Extremely accommodating host.

Check-in was very easy, the place was nice and breezy, and it had everything we needed during our stay. We did arrive to a “dirty” Vrbo as there wasn’t cleaning between our arrival and the previous guests, but we alerted the hosts right away and it was resolved within the next couple of hours. And we were refunded our cleaning fee.

Lamesure Cottage is a beautiful property on the East side of the island, away from the busy beaches and traffic. You can't beat the location. A gorgeous view of the mountains, walking distance to Salt Pond Bay where there is an amazing beach, snorkeling, and the trailhead to Ram Head Trail which affords spectacular views, and a short crossover to Drunk Bay for early morning sunrise views . Also easy walk to Kittle Bay. This is a nature lovers paradise, with minimal car traffic and lots of solitude. The cottage we stayed in is a small studio, nicely kept and clean. Ownership had transitioned recently, so we understood that there were a few things the new owner wished to improve upon. Bed is a double in the main room, great breeze in the evening. No door to the bathroom requires some creativity when duty calls : ) Awkward at first, but manageable. The outdoor porch is wonderful, with mountain views and breezes, punctuated by small birds visiting frequently. Furniture could use a little rearranging as space is small, but everything you need is there. This is a wonderful rustic retreat in to be enjoyed in the mountains with short walks to the water. Be aware that with this abundance of nature also comes a few bugs, so consider it the price of admission. For the price, this is a great find. Our host Bill was exceedingly gracious and knowledgeable, and couldn't have asked for better. He has tons of knowledge about the island is a wonderful resource! I would definitely stay at Lamesure Cottage again.

We had a great time and it was perfect for just two people. No door on the bathroom was a little different, but we didnt mind. It was clean and had everything we needed.

Our stay in the studio cottage was everything we could have hoped for. We loved the secluded location and wilderness feel. The cottage itself is darling - so bright and nicely decorated and equipped with whatever you need. The outdoor space is fabulous and so enjoyed sitting out there every morning with my tea and watching/hearing all the beautiful birds. The nearby beaches are out of this world and we spent all day, every day taking advantage of them. I did not get to meet Russ, but Liz is a dream host and a lovely genuine person. I truly hope we have the opportunity to return to St. John and, if so, we will 100% return to Lameshur Cottages. I can't go five minutes without thinking about our week. PARADISE!!!!

We truly enjoyed our stay in the little cottage. Liz was a lovely lady and hostess. We felt quite at home. Liz thinks of lots of little details that help make your stay more convenient. The cottage was spotless. We would recommend to anyone who loves nature and more authentic experience. Hope to return.
