The inside of the cabin was amazing! We loved it! I agree with the reviewer who pointed out that the lake is not as close as the post makes it seem. You can't even see the lake or walk to it. But it is a very short drive and was very enjoyable. The post said there was a dishwasher, but there is none. The host apologized when I asked him where it was and said he would adjust the post to make sure it stated there was no dishwasher. Every time I sent the host a text or email with a question, it was immediately answered. The horse in the pasture in front of the house was a surprise, but it was a very sweet horse and the kids loved it. I would come back to this place if we were ever coming back to this area.

Cabin was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay, but the driveway to get to the property was horrible. The road was so narrow and muddy, barely had room for our boat. Some major upkeep needs to be done to the road.

Super nice cabin secluded in the woods, privacy is nice but sounds like the property manager is going to be moving into the barn. Property owner is great at communicating and is very polite.

Please note that there is not a fireplace at this property and you cannot walk to the lake from here. The lake might be 0.3 mile from the cabin as the crow flies but humans have to go down another road 1 mile to access the lake. The listing is not clear on access. When we arrived the downstairs bathroom wasn't clean. There was matter in the sink and someone else's hair in the sink and the bath tub had brown grime on the side. a ring around the tub and someone else's hair. There was an ashtray on the porch full of used cigarette butts and cigarette butts all round the deck on the property. The kitchen counters weren't clean either. Beyond this the whole cabin needs a deep clean. There are mouse droppings, dust build up, you get the idea. After a long day and drive, I found myself cleaning the bathroom and the kitchen on my first night of vacation. I contacted the owner about the inaccuracies and the cleaning. He responded immediately and apologized about the listing and the cleaning. He said he would get our cleaning fee refunded. I thought this was a great response. However that was 12 days ago. We have since contacted the owner again asking when the refund would be processed with no refund or answer received. We were also excited about the peace and quiet everyone else talked about but we didn't get it. There is a road just above the cabin and there are dump trucks constantly traveling the road and the neighbors spent a good deal of time on ATVs. We love using VRBO but this property was not a favorite. An inaccurate listing and dirty cabin are disappointing when vacation time is minimal and we work so hard to earn it. This is our first bad review on VRBO and we've been using it for over a decade.

Very beautiful area, especially in fall. There was a fireplace we assumed we could use, and were disappointed we couldn't. We also weren't able to get the oven to work. There was a large jetted tub, but the jets appeared to not function either. Overall though, a beautiful place. We had fun.

Attended 3 day track meet at Murray State. Less than 30 min drive. Perfect, peaceful location. Highly recommend!

We drove the scenic route to the property. The driveway is secluded down a gravel road. Once you enter into the very open property surrounded by woods you are greeted by a very cozy wooden cabin. The scene sets your expectations that are well beyond exceeded when you step into the cabin. The natural wood rafters. The open space and the dining room with french doors surrounded by open windows. It was one of the most relaxing times I have had in my life. Sitting about 20 miles away from town it is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Well worth the money and well worth the drive. VERY pet friendly

Check in process was seamless. We have rented many cabins, but this one was the best equipped one we ever rented. It is located away from about everyone, which was great for our dog. No need to lease her and she thoroughly enjoyed romping around to check out the wild smells. The internet was of exceptional quality. Kentucky Lake is really near by as is Murray - 30 minutes away - should you need anything. I highly recommmend it and will go back.

This cabin and the surroundings are beautiful. If you want quiet and seclusion, this property has it all. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back again. The owner is awesome and communicative.

The cabin tucked away off the beaten path was a perfect respite. It snowed the weekend we were there so we just settled in. They had a small but good selection of games and puzzles and we had brought our own as well. The internet worked great and they had some great options for their ROKU TV channels. The bed as great as was the pillows.

Me, My Husband, boys ages 7 and 8, and Family Dog had a great relaxing getaway! Cabin was wonderful! Loved the big porch and our dog got to run his heart out!

My family absolutely loved meeting up here for thanksgiving. The house was clean, very pet friendly, as well as infant friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet cabin that is pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed running in the fenced in “pasture.” Needless to say, we were able to create new family memories at this cabin.

We built a fire in the fire pit and just disconnected from everything!

We were looking for someplace a little out of the way and very comfy. We found it. The cabin was clean, well equipped and very comfy. We spent daylight hours at Land Between the Lakes and the evenings cooking in a relatively well equipped kitchen and watching a very large screen tv. Internet service was great. Lake Kentucky shore is just a few minutes away. Please note that the driving distance to Land Between the Lakes is not bad, the drive is kind of slow and tedious, especially at night. The host was friendly and responsive. I can highly recommend this listing.

The house is beautiful and had everything we needed! It was a great vacation and we will try to stay there in the future. The owner even checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this property.

The cabin was really nice. Decorated with fall decor. Lots of fire wood for bonfires and smores. Secluded but still close to a Dollar General, BBQ restaurant and further into Murray there were more stores to check out if needed. The wifi worked good. No cable but we made it work. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks!

The cabin was clean and beautiful. The driveway was a little tricky to use after a 10 hour massive massive downpour. The location was remote and had a lot of deer near the cabin. The cabin was 30 min from Murray and 1 hour from Land between the Lakes. The wifi speed was amazing as well

We really enjoyed our stay in this immaculate cabin. Because there were heat advisories, we stayed in more than we’d intended, but the cabin had lots of games and access to movies. Lots of nature (deer, birds, snakes, and lizards) to enjoy in this secluded place. Make sure to get out and see the night sky—spectacular!

The extreme heat kept us inside, but the cabin was so well equipped, we didn’t mind one bit. We played games, watched movies, made fun food, laughed a lot and caught up with one another. A great mother-daughter-grand kitty getaway location!
