We had a wonderful time, feeding the deer was the highlight of our trip. Location was great and not so close to neighbors. Everything was positive.

We loved the property. It was everything we had hoped for. The deer greeted us as we arrived and as we left. The hot tub was warm and relaxing. The fire pit was spacious and safe. Plenty of amenities. My only request would be for a heater vent in the master bathroom and the back bedroom as well as a small washer/dryer. We definitely plan to come back.

We had a wonderful stay. Feeding the deer was great. Would love to go back. Very central located to alot of things to do. The leaves were beautiful.

The deer met us in the drive each time we entered! How cool is that! Decor was very nice. Hubby fell in love with the recliner! I loved the cow print chairs and footstools! Convenient location. Only thing we missed was a toaster! Would be happy to stay here again in another visit to Mentone!

There were deer everywhere in the back yard! We enjoyed the outdoor space with the hot tub and fire pit. Great kitchen to cook in and comfortable bedrooms. We come to Mentone every year in October and always stay at a different cabin. I think we have found the cabin we will stay in again next year!

What a wonderful weekend! We were greeted by deer as soon as we arrived. It was amazing how close to us they came. Thank you for having the corn so we could feed them. It is a great cabin and very private, we wouldn't hesitate to come back. I will probably check the calendar to make sure it is not the busiest weekend of the year Lol!

What an amazing place. Read the reviews before we booked and heard from a friend about feeding the deer. Did not realize I would have one eating out of my hands and letting me pet her though!! I was so excited. It was truly amazing. The house is cozy and charming and just what we needed, a restful relaxing weekend away from work. Thanks for letting us use your place. We would love to come back some time.

real nice cabin, the power couch and chair allowed my handicap wife to sleep well , used firepit, children and parents in the hottub, nice yard with space , plenty of deer and a gray fox visited briefly, TV was in Spanish, we tried to convert but not sucess, needed a ROKU customer service number or resource for useage, walkin shower good for my handicap wife real happy will likely want to come back to "Whitetail" next year If found a Morningstar bok with some financial statement s please destroy

We had at least 4 deer in the yard every single day, they’re beautiful! Very nice place, and we would love to come back!

Whitetail Cottage was everything we were looking for. Beautiful property, great furnishings, modern appliances all with privacy. Plenty of towels and paper products as well as a kitchen with anything you’d need. The management staff for the property was great with communications and we had no issues! We cannot wait to stay here again soon!

Definitely will be back again

This was our 3rd stay here and we enjoyed it, as always. Didn't see deer the 1st stay but the last 2, we say so many. The cabin is comfortable and clean. Also, beautifully decorated. It's always a peaceful stay. We've recommended it to other friends and family.

We had a wonderful time at this peaceful cabin. It was perfect for our family and everyone loved the fire pit and feeding the deer. It was so relaxing and quiet. It felt like our own little oasis.

This cabin exceeded our expectations! The pictures were exactly what you got which was very helpful. We used the fire pit and hot tub daily and fed the many deer that came by regularly! Thanks for providing the corn!! Desoto State Park was 5 min drive, and the Falls were about the same. Great location!

Where do you start! Full kitchen amenities, comfortable beds and furniture, hot tub, fire pit and the feeling of being at home without the snow! Oh yeah, 20 plus deer that come to visit in the evening, we saw a pair of fox and the outdoor activities are beautiful as well. We could of stayed a month here and watched the flowers bloom. We are already planning another trip to this area for next year and hoping to stay here again.

Our second time and we love this stay!

I booked this cabin to enjoy a weekend with my Daughter and daughter-in-laws. It did not disappoint! The area was great and the cabin so cozy. My girls kept telling me how much they loved it. It was so sweet watching all of the deer roam the property and getting to feed them with the corn that was provided. This will not be the last trip! 😀❤️

We had a wonderful time in Tucson, hiking trails of saguaro national park. The condo was nestled in the foothills of the Tucson mountains, and could just go Out the back door with amazing trails.

Fast and helpful communication. Location is great. Had all amenities that were needed, huge plus. We definitely wouldn’t mind staying here again.

We were so excited to stay here for our 17th anniversary! It was so beautiful inside and out. The hot tub and fire pit had us immediately setting up a plan for our own. At one point in the evening we counted over 20 dear in the yard. So amazing and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this property!!

This property was very nice and a reasonable price. The check in / check out process was easy. Everything looked clean and as others have said the kitchen was ready to go for actual cooking which we did. Especially since there aren’t many places to eat at except The Wildflower Cafe, which we did eat at. Highly recommended! The fireplace was a little tricky getting turned on however. I believe step by step instructions were given on the app but the app didn’t want to cooperate so I had to play around with the fireplace but eventually got it going. Enjoying the hot tub while watching deer walking past and eating corn provided by the host was pretty cool to. All in all a good time. Would stay there again!

Amazing weekend getaway

Pictures do not do this place justice! It is so nice and perfect for our girls getaway. The check in process was great, the arrival was zero hassle, and the place was so clean! The first night we were there the pilot light went out on the fireplace and we could not figure out how to get it lit again, they came out at 6 o'clock that night to fix it! The hot tub was great, location is perfect and very close to the falls, and the deer is everywhere. I just can not say enough good things about this place and we plan to make this our annual girls trip!!!

Their home was excellent. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, plenty of seating, and a well stocked chicken. We had the freedom of pl etc of space to spread out and play games. And we even cooked a three course meal in their kitchen. We also loved the outdoor are with the fire pit and hot tub. This place is just a short drive from Mentone and on the main road but you still feel a good amount of privacy due to the woods.

Took the family for a quick escape. The property was rustic and beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Quick drive to cute town of Mentone. House was clean and very cozy. Lots of deer in the surrounding woods that visited us every day just before dusk- the kids loved it. Fire pit and hot tub were also a hit. Great property.

My family and I wanted a cozy mountain Christmas, and this listing was perfect. It had a full kitchen which we used in abundance. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We were able to explore the beautiful property, and loved the deer that visited daily! The cottage is super close to Fort Payne so we were able to get groceries when needed. We also enjoyed being so close to DeSoto Falls! We cannot wait to come back!

We loved everything about this property. Located close to many trails and waterfalls, Little River Canyon, and a short drive to Chattanooga. Appropriately named, as one morning we saw 14 deer wandering through the lawn. The hot tub was a must on the cold nights, and the fully stocked kitchen made breakfast a breeze. If we make plans to be in the area again, we will definitely look here 1st!

The cabin was cute, with lots of little touches and excellent amenities. Comfy sofas, big TV, nice porch, coffee pods and games. The deer were adorable and enjoyed the corn the owners left for us to feed them. Beautiful winding drive and a lovely yard. We gave it 4 stars because there were MANY (dozens) of dead bugs on every window sill and some live roaches running around… the blankets in the living room also smelled (they really needed to be washed)… overall it needed a deep clean. Additionally, the hot tub had a really weird (bad) smell… The checkin process was good except the door lock didn’t work but we found a key under the mat, so overall that was fine. 👍 Beds: the master bed is broken and dips in pretty badly making it an awful nights sleep. The other beds were fine :) All in all for the high price we were disappointed with the amount of bugs (I have pictures), dirty space and the broken bed. We traveled for a long distance race and were incredibly exhausted hoping for a dip in the hot tub and decent sleep but that didn’t happen 🤷‍♀️ The hosts did send a message asking for a 5 star review and asked if there was anything preventing us from giving them a 5 star review but we didn’t answer as we didn’t want crews coming in while we were there for our short stay.

We rented this property for Thanksgiving day+ weekend away from "reality." The fully stocked, usable kitchen made cooking+ eating perfect as well as feeding [including by hand] the deer the deer corn provided. My children enjoyed the swing out back as much as the provided Netflix! I couldn't get them off either! I highly recommend this property!
