Home was comfortable and our hosts were very responsive! Cooked most dinners at the house and the kitchen had what we needed, including good knives, which is often hit or miss at rentals. Gas grill is in great condition and very clean as well. Neighborhood is family friendly and was quiet during our stay. Loved having the kayaks and SUP. Having garage available to keep bikes was a plus as well. The landscaping in the yard was amazing and really showcased the beauty of the surrounding nature. Plenty of things to do within in a short drive. Thanks to Liz and Andy for a great stay!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our door county vacation at starflower cottage. Everyone agreed that the best days of the trip were the days spent on the lake swimming, kayaking, paddle board, fire pit and cooking. The cottage has everything you need and the location can't be beat. Liz and Andy are great hosts. We hope to come back soon.

4 ladies in our 60's had a terrific time. Lovely cottage, extremely well appointed. Very close to so much, and a lovely view of the very clear lake. Great winery( Stone's Throw) fun shopping. Very relaxing.

Able to drive to most every part of Door County within about 3 mins - so convenient! The lake setting was beautiful - house was cozy and lots of extras! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating., fire pit with plenty of firewood, kayaks and all household items we needed. Would highly recommend - and stay there again! Only thing it didn’t have was cable or local TV, and WiFi was limited. But wasn’t a problem for us. No time for TV - too much to do in the area! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Couldn’t have been a better location to watch the sunsets or kayak Kangaroo Lake. Easy access to all the towns, parks and restaurants on the west side of the peninsula but being near Baileys Harbor was nicely less congested and just as quaint. The house is beautifully decorated but not over the top so you have that great lake cabin comfortable feel. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, very clean and pretty. The enclosed porch was a perfect place to hang on the chillier mornings or the afternoon it rained. Being just my husband and me, the large master bedroom and bath were perfect. The property is quite private and beautifully landscaped into several different areas depending on your mood and activity - stone patio, relaxing chair in the shade overlooking the lake, Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, lawn big enough for bocce ball. All uniquely decorated with beautiful perennials. We went in September but would recommend this property any time of year. There couldn’t have been a better place to get away in Door County.

My adult daughter and I stayed at Starflower Cottage for a week the end of August and it was a week from heaven. The setting is beautiful - right next to the lake. We were blessed with fabulous weather. The location is off the beaten path but convenient to anything you want to do in Door County. The home is lovely. VERY CLEAN! We especially enjoyed the sunporch with its view of the lake and the patio area. The owner was very responsive to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be going back.

Great view of lake kangaroo. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and being in door county makes it cost to every place we wanted to see. The only downfall is that we were not there long enough!

Initially booked for 5 nights, but we were able to extend it to 7 nights. We travel a lot, including overseas, and this property was the best we ever stayed at. The host is very welcoming and helpful, and the amenities are better than described and expected. We rarely left the property, as it was very relaxing and enjoyable. We hope to come back soon!

Everything was amazing. The place was great, communication with host was very helpful and timely, and we very much enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect location, and it was right on the water. If we come back to Door County again I would hands down look to stay here!!

Fantastic property - the photos do not do it justice! Quaint cabin with an old school vibe. Plenty of room for family of 5. Great amenities including gas grills, fire pit, SUP, Kayaks, and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view. The water is shallow and great for small kids to play in. Be sure to bring water shoes as it is rocky. 5 minute drive into Bailey's Harbor and about 15 minutes from everything else.

I booked this house to take my family of 6 for our first vacation in many, many years. We loved everything about this house from the homely cabin feel, large table to play games as a family, fires in the fire pit, kayaking, fishing and so much more. The memories we made as family during our stay will be cherished forever. The host was very accommodating, quick to respond and very clearly appreciated having us. The house was perfect for our family, had lots of space for everyone to gather in the living room, the patio was perfect for meals outside and the views from the dock were gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again as a family!

The place was very beautiful in a quite Kangaroo lake front location. The location was so beautiful and the lake was not deep in front of the property and perfect for swimming, kayaking with kids and other family members. Also the place comes ready with life vests, kayaks, grill and every thing you need in a lake house. Communication with Liz was excellent. Would definitely book again in the future.

The direct lake access is great. We ice fished and hiked across the lake to Coyote Roadhouse for lunch one day. The house is very nice with plenty of space for our family of 4 to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked and the host is very friendly and was immediately responsive with answers to a few questions we had. Would definitely stay again!

The home has a cozy cabin feel with beautiful updates in the bathrooms and kitchen, providing all the amenities needed for a vacation. Three deer came right up to the cabin to eat. We watched ice fishermen on the lake from our cozy view next to the fireplace. Lovely quiet weekend to be remembered for a long time. Thank you!

What a gem! We spend some great family time in this quiet cozy cottage. While the bedrooms and bathrooms could use some modernizing, the entire place was clean and welcoming!

Our family of 5 (mom, dad and 3 young adult children) enjoyed a wonderful winter getaway at Starflower Cottage. Plenty of sleeping space and privacy for everyone, and an inviting and cozy living room/kitchen/fireplace for us to relax together. I especially loved the traditional 'up North' cottage decor with modern additions. Even during winter it was a treat to stay right on Kangaroo Lake and view the sunsets. I can only dream of a summer visit with the screened porch, outdoor patio and lake fun. The cottage location was easy for us to explore Door County - we hiked at Europe Lake, the Ridges, and Whitefish Dunes. Not enough snow/ice for cross country skiing or ice fishing, but we found plenty of entertainment (Kick Ash coffee, Sister Bay Bowling, shopping, dinner at Clover and Zot was delicious). The home is extremely well cared for and clean, and had everything we needed to eat meals at home (take out from Baileys Harbor Cornerstone Pub was great). My oldest daughter worked remotely with a lakeside view and plenty of wifi. Liz was very accommodating, and an extremely warm and generous host. We would stay again for sure!

We met friends from Milwaukee at the property and had the best time! The house is a great size and the yard and water provided lots of opportunities for play and fun. Will definitely be coming back!
