My family has rented Carolina Blue many times over the past 40 years. The home is a classic 4-bedroom, 2-bath open plan. There is plenty of room for gathering at the table, in the kitchen, in the family room, or on either the shaded or open outdoor porches. This home is lovely. It is understated and gracious. It has just what you need to have a comfortable and relaxed stay on Edisto: private outdoor shower, large and powerful washer & dryer, well-stocked kitchen, and just a short walk from the grocery store or and even shorter walk to the ocean. Check-in and check-out are a breeze. The hosts are great communicators and responsive. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for an easy, unpretentious stay on Edisto. This home is exceptional because of its simplicity and comfort.

This was the 1st time we had stayed at this property. We wanted a beach front so our parents could enjoy the ocean even if they could not walk down to the shore. The home was perfect for our needs. The view was gorgeous! We enjoyed the covered deck with the rocking chairs, and enjoyed the joining deck that wasn't covered. We loved the kitchen and the supplies we needed to cook. We are thankful we found this home, and we plan to be back!

This was the second year in a row that our family vacationed at Carolina Blue, and we had another fantastic experience. The property was extremely clean and provided an unmatched oceanfront view. We love the proximity to the grocery store, ABC store, and other shops. The red lights on the steps were perfect for navigating the stairs at night while being mindful of our turtle friends. The hose and shower downstairs was perfect for rinsing off our feet before going inside. We had tons of trashcans to manage our wastebin needs. The air conditioning unit never failed us and did a great job of keeping us cool despite the hot weather outside. We spent tons of time as a family in the open concept kitchen, dining, and living space, however the majority of our time was spent on the deck taking in the gorgeous view of the ocean and enjoying the ample seating provided. The only hard thing to navigate was the steepness of the bank leading down to the beach, but we are very aware that erosion of the dune is not within anyone's control. We did not let this stop us from enjoying tons of fun on the beach. Guests with mobility challenges should take the steep bank into consideration when considering the property. This is also a perfect rental for anyone with dogs that they want to vacation with. The gate on the deck allowed our dogs to have free roam of the deck and enjoy the views with us, which was very important to our enjoyment of vacation. All communication with the hose leading up to our stay, and after our stay was extremely clear and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!!

If you want to go to the beach to kick back and relax, you may do so on the front deck of Carolina Blue. Clean, up-to-date beach living - if only for a week - is worth it. Maybe a drawback - limited shopping for groceries and drug store items - but then - you want to relax and be able to walk to a local restaurant and hang out! And - our dog loved it!

Carolina Blue fit the bill perfectly for our family, ages 9 months to 90 years old. Sleeping accommodations, covered porch, and sun deck all contributed to a great week of R & R. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every cooking/baking/serving item we needed for our meals (especially the local shrimp dishes). The gated deck was helpful for our dog, she could relax and watch the waves without being tempted to chase the dolphins! We were privileged to watch dolphins, breaching rays, and the most breathtaking sunrises from this lovely location. This was our sixth visit to Edisto, we will be returning to Carolina Blue as often as we can!

We loved the wonderful porch and the location on the beach. It was a perfect location in the town to walk to everything! The fact that part of the porch is covered with a table that you can eat a meal at and the other person is open to layout is a perfect combination!

We (one mother, two grannies, two granddaughters) stayed a week in a house on the beach in lovely Edisto. It was just wonderful. Was the opportunity to introduce the 8-yr-old to boogie-boarding, the 3-yr-old to the ocean. Carolina Blue was just what we wanted. Not pretentious, very comfortable and clean, the kitchen better equipped than any other place we've rented, anywhere. The alligators at the Serpentarium, the fruits and vegetables and bread and pies at King's Market, the light on the marshes, kayaking on the river, the dolphins, the fresh shrimp and fish . . . and did I say it was ON THE BEACH? Incredible sunrises, moonrise and stars, the sounds of the waves all day and all night? A stay long saved-for. It will always be remembered. Those kids for sure will always remember it. (The 3-yr-old, all the way back to Charleston and the airport: "But I want to go to the BEACH!")

Our three adult families had one of the best vacations ever! We really enjoyed the house and the rental company was quick to respond prior to the 4th of July weekend when the last renters had left behind a broken window and a struggling AC. Again - we had a great time and enjoyed the property :-)

Our family has stayed at many different beaches and beach home rentals throughout the years. This one was definitely one of the most modern homes! Nice new flooring, up to date and trendy furniture and decor. A leather couch, comfortable beds, and nice bathrooms. The kitchen is spacious with lots of cabinets! Plenty of plates, dishes, bowls, and utensils for everyone. A big laundry room, two big porches with plenty of tables and chairs. We especially loved the big wooden table and chandelier! The best part is that the home is literal STEPS from the ocean! What a dream!! Thanks for a great stay.

We absolutely love love love Carolina Blue. We love the covered porch and the sun porch for sitting in the evening listening to the ocean as we ate homemade ice cream and other baked goodies after dinner. The inside of the home was so comfortable. With 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on each side of the main living room, we didn’t have to worry about waking the grandchildren when they took afternoon naps. The kitchen had everything we needed. We cooked big meals for breakfast and dinner and had all of the pots and pans needed. The large porch was big enough for our grandchildren’s toys. The sofa was large enough for all of us to sit and watch a movie together at the same time. We will be renting this one again 🏝🌊

The place was perfect in regard to the living arrangements and proximity to the beach. Definitely felt that "low country" beach vibe all week. A true vacation because it was so easy, and enjoyable, to stay off the grid. We are going back for sure...100%. Not to mention Edisto Beach Vacation Rentals was so easy to work with and efficient with the whole reservation and rental process.

We loved the house. Great space for 3-4 families. Edisto Beach Vacation Rentals was very responsive and answered when called upon in a timely manner. Tons of deck space and love the room in the front for all the coolers and drop Zone. Had pantry space for snacks so we could use counters. Dogs loved the house too. Gates for them and deck space made it very roomy for our entire family. We’d stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Carolina blue. Right on the ocean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. The beach was beautiful, the area so nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carolina Blue! We stayed there 1/10/21 through 1/19/21. Temps were high 50's to low 60's. While that may not be everyone, we enjoyed having the beach to ourselves. All of the restaurants/bars were open and we had a blast! The home is beachfront with a huge deck overlooking the ocean. The deck has comfortable chairs and is partially covered. There is gate to the deck, so we could let our pups roam freely on it. The house itself is so much bigger than it looks from the photos. The kitchen is fully equipped with a blender, toaster, Keurig, all the pots, pans and equipment one would need to cook any meal. It is close to everything and a 5 minute walk to a bar/restaurant and grocery store. There is also a washer dryer in the house. Guests need to bring some things like your own coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent and dishwasher soap. If you forget something the grocery store is right there! We loved this place and so did our dogs. We hope to come back one day with some couple friends because there is plenty of room in this home for everyone.

We did not expect much, we wanted to be together on the Beach, but we all where very happy with the Carolina Blue Home. An oldie but a goodie.

This is a great vacation spot. Very little beach traffic in the fall. Ocean right out the door. Four big bedrooms, two full baths, large living area, well-equipped kitchen. The layout of the porch and deck has lots of sun and shade. Great for family and friends. Dog friendly.

House had all amenities needed. Loved the covered deck facing the water. Little dog discovered he could take his ball to the top of the sand dune and let it roll down to the beach so he could chase it. We could see the dolphins swimming right in front of the house. It was a laid back serene vacation. Thank you.

This place was perfect. The summary of the house was exactly what we found. The view was awesome. A lot of laughter on the deck. The wind coming off the ocean made sitting on the deck the most perfect place for all of us. The house is modernized with a comfortable atmosphere. The house was open with a lot of room. We will be back!!!

We loved our first family vacation at Edisto Beach staying at Carolina Blue. The property is very comfortable and the location is the best! We loved the property and hope to stay there again.

We had a wonderful week with family. Sitting on the porch listening to the ocean was so peaceful.

The photos of the house are spot on. Very comfortable house and great location! We have stayed at many houses on the island and this is our new favorite. We will definitely be back.
