Five spacious bdrms and close to beach

My family has been vacationing on Hilton Head for 38 years. The Amore House was best rental based on its excellent location, house structure and amenities - beach chairs, boogie boards, ping pong table, shuffleboard court, pool and jacuzzi and last but not least a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

So convenient you beach and Coligny. Parking was perfect for us with 5 vehicles and the pool setup is fabulous. 5 Bedrooms and a Big Couch worked for our big crowd.

We loved everything about our stay. We had a problem with the pool becoming cloudy and green and they had someone come out immediately and had it cleared up in no time. We will definitely be back. 10 out of 10

We enjoyed our stay for the most part but had a few issues. The dryer was very loud and sounded like it was on its last leg. Hopefully that will be resolved for the next guests. We paid for the pool to be heated but were skeptical it was actually heated based on how it felt based on our experience with heated pools. The showers were sub par.
On the positive side - the house was well stocked with kitchen equipment. There was also ample room for our family + parents (9 in total). For the price we paid it was a good value. Our kids enjoyed the games in the basement and we found the pool and beach equipment helpful that was in the basement even though we were told that none of that would be there. We also liked the location and will be staying in the general location next time too.
We checked the house for next year and it is listed at more than double the price we paid this year. We will definitely not be choosing this house at that way more expensive price.

Great vacation home, we really enjoyed our stay! Very convenient; close to the beach and Coligny as well as some very nice restaurants. We appreciated the use of the beach chairs and enjoyed relaxing in the pool in the evening. If all works out, we’ll be back next year!

Large house with plenty of bathrooms. Walking distance to uncrowded beach and Coligny Square. Well stocked kitchen with extra refrigerator made feeding a large group easier. The furniture and bed linens need to be updated. Not enough seating in living room. Wonderful vacation. Will rent this house again.

Checked in and spend over an hour cleaning the filthy pool and pool filter. The deck area was filthy, moldy and needed to be pressure washed. The floor rugs/ mats were filthy so we washed them within an hour of walking in. There was Zero propane for the grills. We had gone grocery shopping and bought and marinated meats to put on grill but instead had to go out and drop $300 for the 11 of us to eat out. The flattop grill was just a slab of rust- you would never want to actually put food on it. Our master bedroom smelled like sewage, something must have been in the pea trap, but it was really horrible. You could smell it from down the hall from our bedroom. We were told the pool heat would be turned on as it was only 70 out and pool was freezing but they never turned it on. On day 2 of our stay someone came over and brought propane also came to pressure wash the pool deck and furniture and so we had that going on most of the entire day and everything was soaking wet. Should have been done B4 we checked in! The property manager came and agreed our room smelled like sewage but did nothing about it. After day 2 the company did not respond to any of our MANY calls, texts, visits to office, etc.. We did not even get a response. I have called 2x since we checked out as well and no response. The house was great location and it would have been really nice but property manager dropped the ball on all these details and lack of response.

This house has two masters and three extra bathrooms for the kids. The pool and hot tub were plenty warm in early March for morning and evening swims (paid for the heat)

Sadly, this home needs some attention/investment from the owner. I don’t take giving a negative review lightly. The inside of the home while adequately clean on our arrival desperately needs a deep clean. And the yard definitely needs attention. We have rented it for one month two years in a row and the outside needs to be cleaned up and a little TLC. The same items in need of repair both inside and outside last year had been left undone. The public space in the home has no window coverings and no opening cranks on the windows which is very odd. it is a great location and the home has a great layout but until the TLC gets done it rates three out of five in our opinion.

The property was exactly as described and actually exceeded our expectations. The pool was a perfect size, great quiet location. Easy walk to the beach and Coligny Plaza. Everyone had their own comfortable space. It was the ideal house for our family. We will be staying again in the future!

Loved the house and location. Walked to beach for sunrises. Walk to Coligny for dining and shopping. House had fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, wagon and beach toys. Pool was nice to sit around, but we had great weather so was at the beach most of the time.

Beach access was good, but haven't stayed in a house at that price with little comfort features. Had a gorgeous house on Sanibel for less money which was loaded with comfort features, beach towels, luxury bedding with lots of luxury toiletries.... this house was a disappointment from previous rentals. Sorry to say that.

First the positives: large house with plenty of room and parking. Nice pool, close to the beach and Coligny.
But, many things are not up to par and the property manager, Vacasa, is hard to deal with and there's no sense of urgency. The pool turned our hair green! Not a slight tinge, but people thought it was died green. The wall below the pool is green, so it's not a new issue. They sent the pool company, but it didn't fix it. The Vacasa folks are friendly, but all they can do is "submit a ticket" and then you have to wait for the owner to contact you. They don't proactively send status on the tickets, so you're forced to keep contacting them during your vacation. I had to fix the pool deck drain because it was flooded after rain. Only took me 15 minutes to figure it out, but why did I have to do it? I could tell it had been clogged for months. Kitchen was not as well stocked as expected. Bad paint jobs throughout. This could be a great home, but just too many hassles.

We loved the large dining table for10! We had a 5 minute walk to the beach with a wagon to carry the beach boards and toys provided along with beach chairs. The pool was perfect for our group. Two master
bedrooms with spacious walk in closets and many other beds. The kitchen was extremely well equipted!

Great family trip
House was great for multiple couples, 4 separate bedrooms and 2 king rooms had attached baths. All bathrooms had shower which was very helpful. Pool was perfect temperature and easy access from house. Basement space was not clean or kept up well but was still usable. Dedicated beach towels were not provided. Sheets on beds probably need replaced. Overall though the house worked great for what we needed and the location was perfect. Despite minor things above would still recommend.

This is a great house just a 5 minute walk off the beach. The beds were comfy and our teens loved the loft hangout and bedroom upstairs. The kitchen is full stocked with everything you need and there are cribs tucked back in 2 of the closets. The basement was equipped with wagons to load your belongs and tote to the beach.
I’m very happy we paid for the pool and spa heating or we might not have enjoyed it as much.

Comfortable home
The house is very comfortable with many places to relax. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils and pans. The laundry had a large counter. We appreciated the fenced in backyard for our two dogs to go outside.

Xmas at HH
Location, esp. in walking distance to the Dove St. lights at Xmas. There was no cable or DirectTV. Thus, we missed the bowl games. Disappointed the hot tub was never hot but the bedrooms were roasting even on very low heat. During other times of year when the hot tub and pool are useable this house would be a much better experience.

We enjoyed our vacation home in HH. The house was large enough for our 4 families and the pool outside was great The location being a block from the beach was perfect. The house needs some updates but all in all we had a great vacation

GREAT HOUSE / LOCATION
This house was perfect for us and our needs. Yes there are "updates" that "could" be done, but the house was clean, GREAT for entertaining and you could not beat the location. We have been coming to HH for years, and this is the first time we got a house, we will definitely look to do it again!
