We were looking for a getaway from San Diego and this was the perfect property. Beautiful location among the avocados and citrus trees. Close enough to other cities for day trips, or just to relax and enjoy away from the hustle and bustle of daily routines. Owners are very good at communicating with you and they maintain this cottage so well. Beautiful inside and outside.

This was our first VRBO stay and we were blown away by the care provided by Simon and his team and attention to detail. We had smooth directions to the house, our name was sweetly displayed at the door, the space was exactly as it was pictured, adorably decorated, comfortable, clean, and cool (an important element to someone traveling from Seattle). Simon was great throughout and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed after our first night. They even left sweet little treats and beverages! My husband and I were totally able to just relax and take in the stunning sunsets over the hills from the great deck. We would highly recommend this location and hope to be back to this location and Fallbrook again soon! Thanks for the memories, Simon!!

We stayed in the penthouse cottage with our two little dogs and the opportunity to meet and chat with the owners. Simon was incredibly attentive to every detail during our stay and very accommodating particularly with the dogs. The property itself was very well appointed and very comfortable. It had everything needed for a wonderful stay including a fireplace on the patio that we enjoyed to take in the stunning scenery surrounding the property. We most likely will return possibly with friends in anticipation of the additional apartment on the property being remodeled and likely during avacado season.

This little gem is 2 minutes from Monserate Winery, which is also a beautiful place. My husband, family and I were very comfortablestaying at the hilltop cottage penthouse.

Really nice, super clean hilltop house with great views. Simon, the host, was very helpful and accommodating. He truly wanted to make sure my wife and I had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. We will stay they again if traveling back to that part of California.

Our host was very accommodating right off the bat, with a helpful map to get us to the house and giving us an early check in. We were only here for a short stay for a wedding, but we loved the beautiful views and excellently furnished house. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful few days at the cottage in Fallbrook. By far this was the best rental property we ever stayed at. The place was very clean, quiet, comfortable and the views from the hilltop were beautiful. We had everything we needed for our stay and Simon's attention to detail and extra touches were much appreciated. Simon was very easy and responsive to communicate with. We we looking for a beautiful spacious home for family dinner after my wedding this home did not disappoint! I really liked so I reached out to the Simon, the host, and he answered all of my questions immediately. He also mentioned there is another house on the property that was also available to book. Simon was by far the most helpful host we have ever had. He went above and beyond by providing local recommendations for places to go and restaurants. He even sent me messages with photos of the beach where our wedding was to be held before we flew in to help ease my pre-wedding jitters. Easy check in process... Both homes and orchard are beautiful. We had delicious fresh avocados with our meals everyday. We didn't want to leave. We all agreed we will all be back.

I choose this property for our first time visit to Southern California as it is close to Temecula and seemed to offer a lot more than vacation rentals in that community. Hilltop Penthouse is located in an upscale quiet neighborhood surrounded by avocado and citrus groves. We picked oranges, avocados and other citrus and used the juicer every day. Although Temecula wine country is about 1/2 hour away, we visited a couple of wineries in Fallbrook which were excellent! Oceanside is also a short distance away too. The kitchen is equipped with wonderful cookware and appliances. The views and landscaping are fantastic. We had a chance to meet Simon who gave us many great recommendations. This place has a lot of charm and character, spotlessly clean, perfect for my husband and me. Thank you Simon for making it perfect!

We had a very comfortable week here. It was easy to drive to Escondido, Temecula, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Oceanside and other coastal spots. Simon was very nice He answered questions and was helpful in every way. We definitely recommend this quiet little house up In the hills!

Welcoming clean and cozy place. Very peaceful with beautiful views of the hills. Great hilltop roads to walk on. Host is excellent which really adds to this wonderful trip. Finish off with reasonable cost which of course is always important to families.

We had such a wonderful get away and we are looking forward to the next time. It was just right! Sometimes you just need a little peace and quiet. To find it in such a clean, beautiful setting is priceless! We have been looking for a place like this for a long time. Simon and Jody have provided everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. There are plenty of things to do just a short drive away. However, there is so much to enjoy about this space that we didn't feel we needed to go out much. We put the BBQ to use, enjoyed the Jacuzzi, made guacamole with the fresh avocados, watched the sunset from the deck/balcony, etc. The views are fantastic. We also visited the Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens. Next time we will plan ahead and make reservations for lunch or order a picnic basket to enjoy in a private location in the gardens. The winery down the road is in a very nice setting. We also really liked the restaurants Simon recommended! Simon is a great host. Very prompt responding to our inquiries and making suggestions. Even encouraging us to use the pool area while there were no guests in the main house. Our entire experience was just what we needed and hope to stay again!

The landscaping is detailed and so amazing. There are so many succulents!!! We loved being in the country, being around the avocado trees and even the chorus of coyotes in the middle of the night was so unique and different it made the experience special. Access to the beach was easy and they have some of the best food in the area that we’ve ever had. Communication with host was awesome

We booked this as our daughter was getting married nearby. Simon offered great hospitality, the property is incredible, and the setting is beautiful. Highly recommend.

This newly updated cottage offers lovely views of the hills from its deck . The spacious bedroom with its comfortable king size bed and large closet and the double sink bathroom were just perfect. The new appliances and kitchen gear were much appreciated when we chose to eat in. There was plenty of open space for seating and the egg swing chair suspended from the vaulted ceiling was enjoyed by all. Its location allows one to travel to Temecula Wine country, but be sure to visit Monserate Winery across the street, a beautiful setting with great wines and food. Finally you could not ask for kinder hosts than Simon and Jody. They make you feel so welcomed from the get go and introduce you to the amenities inside and the wonderful fruit trees outside.

This cottage was our dream spot. The views were amazing... it was well stocked with everything imaginable, we loved picking and eating/juicing our own fresh fruit, and the host, Simon, couldn't have been kinder or more attentive. We can't wait to come back!!!

Beautiful one bedroom apartment on 5 acre avocado farm. Great patio overlooking the surrounding area. Perfect location for exploring, 30 minutes from the Oceanside and 30 minutes from Temecula wine region. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall experience was very satisfying, directions were simple, entering the property grounds and the cottage was a snap, push a few buttons, and you were in! Excellent view of the valley and the surrounding area, lovely breeze, and plenty of window options to keep things just right.

My wife and I were looking to escape the busyness of life. We usually like the beach for this, but didn’t want to pay beach prices! We found this lovely oasis in Fallbrook, just 30 minutes from the beach and without the morning overcast that is very depressing. So we got the beach when we wanted to go, but we enjoyed lovely weather with wonderful cooling breezes to make the daytime temperatures perfect at our oasis. Our hosts, Simon and Jody were so caring, gracious and responsive to our needs. Easy to talk to and able to get in touch with easily. The kind of people you would love to have as neighbors. The Guest house was even better than the pictures show. Tastefully decorated and all the latest up to date appliances. The bed and bedding was very comfortable for both of us and the outdoor patio was our breakfast and dinner dining area. The fresh picked avocados and grapefruit from the property were a delight every day of our stay. Having access to the swimming pool was a wonderful escape in the afternoon, especially with the 87 degree water temperature! We would definitely do this again! Thank you Simon and Jody. We had a wonderful time at Hilltop, I couldn't have asked for more welcoming hosts between Simon and his wife! The most kind and accommodating people that you will meet, and always making sure to go above and beyond. We used the house accommodations, such as swimming in the pool, super beautiful and relaxing; including an avocado float to go along with Fallbrook being California's avocado capital! We then indulged in picking fresh fruit so that we could juice it, it was absolutely amazing, if you stay here you have to try it. The house was just as beautiful as the pictures and it was absolutely perfect for the time that we stayed, super refreshing after a long day of exploring to come back to such a cozy little house. I cannot begin to express how much I loved staying in the house, it is just the cutest little place! Such an amazing experience and if I'm ever in the area I would definitely check the availability of this house first! Thank you again Simon for making our first Vrbo so memorable!!

This space was absolutely lovely. We came from Atlanta for a wedding in Temecula, but our highlight was our stay here. It made a few days seem like a weeklong relaxing holiday. It delighted all the senses. The place was bright & immaculate, the view of the hills and the grove was spectacular, and the sounds of nature alongside the hillside breeze calmed the soul. Our host (Simon) was most gracious, and we felt like his guests. We highly recommend this accommodation.
