Lovely Gite. Modern, comfortable and well equipped. Comfy bed! Short walk to market (Saturday) and to restaurants, boulangerie and town shops. Cathedral close and the Museum and Bayeux Tapestry. Quiet street with free parking either on street or close by. Vincent and Sandrine are excellent hosts. A great place to stay in the lovely town of Bayeux 😊

The communication from our host was excellent. Our unit was well maintained and very clean, our appliances were all newish and in excellent order. The reception we received on arrival was warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Just a minor thing - we are an older couple and the sofa bed we had, as most sofa beds, was not easy to sleep on!

The property is perfect! Clean and comfortable and only about a 15 minute walk from the centre of everything. To get to the beaches nearby is a little further however, the hosts are brilliant and very supportive if you need help navigating. They provide brochures for nearby attractions and routes on how to get to them. There are bus stops just a minute walk from the apartment which are easy to use. Shops very nearby and such a safe and lovely community to stay in. Really enjoyed our time in Normandy, thank you to our hosts!

We had a very comfortable and relaxed stay of 4 nights. The gite (ground floor) was even better than we expected and though we did not need to use the cooking facilities and dishwasher we could see that everything was clean and good quality. The instructions for getting the keys were clear and it was great that there is a free car park nearby. We walked into the centre for our meals which takes about 10 minutes. We had great communication with the owners and met Vincent when we were leaving and he was very friendly (we appreciated the tip to visit Cabourg which we enjoyed on our way back to England). We would definitely recommend Gites les Pour Quoi Pas. Thank you for a great stay.

Very good location - close to free parking, near buses, within walking distance of all museums and old town as well as supermarket. Overlooks a church. Has a very cute mini dishwasher.

Pull out sofa beds are not the most comfortable (but it was easy to operate.) It is a very tiny space - not ideal for big suitcases. Can be occasionally noisy at night - passing pedestrians and speeding cars. Cotton linen would be good in summer.

Vincent (host) very helpful. Met us with keys, gave us an overview of the place and on the day we left he even drove us to the train station. He went above and beyond. The place was very comfortable and in easy walk to the town. The town was beautiful - such a beautiful area.

All good great accommodation, great location and very helpful host

It is such a cute little place, perfect for a couple needs. It was clean and bright (remember to bring your eye mask) and location is pretty walkable. We had a sofa bed and it was pretty comfy but I was ready for a mattress by the time we left. The hosts were very nice and willing to help.

Nothing really major, sometimes it was annoying to constantly log in to use the wifi and it did go in and out sometimes.

The apartment was clean, new, tidy, the kitchen perfect, the owners was extremely friendly.

The apartment was lovely, newly renovated and really clean. The host was very helpful and really kind. It is walking distance from the centre and easily accessible as there is a big public parking nearby. We had a great time staying here and would definitely come back!

The WiFi did not work that well and the neighbours upstairs were quite noisy- we could hear the people upstairs walking around in the morning.

The apartments are wonderful and very close to everything for walking. The owners have just newly renovated the apartments in a lovely old building. There is a kitchen and all the amenities in each of the six apartments. The first two nights we stayed on the ground floor, which entered directly from the street, which was very convenient, our third night we had a wonderful view of the city from the bedroom that’s above the living room via a spiral staircase. The owner was wonderful and meeting us with the key late at night and could not have been more helpful with air questions.

Location is ideal. Close to a very nice pub, all the tourist attractions, 2 supermarkets, about 2 kms to train station on the south side of Bayeux and about 1 km to the only rental car agency which is on the western edge of town -- BTW, it's Hertz but if they sense weakness in your French language ability they will up-sell you from a small car (which is really what you want in these narrow streets of these Medieval Era towns and le bocage farm lanes) to something larger and more expensive. I turned my unnecessarily larger and more expensive car (Citron pseudo-SUV -- NOTE: pull up to get that manual transmission into reverse -- in early after I realized there was a taxi service immediately adjacent to the apartment. I was turning the car in 24 hours early yet could NOT get a single Euro refunded though I asked nicely (but was probably pronouncing too many suppose-to-be-silent consonants) and then again in writing with google translate. Telle est la vie en France pour visiter des américains ignorants By extreme contrast the hosts of Gites les Pourquoi Pas were very accommodating and helpful. Towels WERE provided which is great and yet kind of rare for French VRBOs for reasons that might only make sense to Douglas Adams and his character Ford Prefect. :-) If they don't want to launder towels, should we be worried about how frequently the bedding is laundered? I was NOT worried about either at Gites les Pourquoi! The FREE Wifi is good too, it just sometimes takes a few tries to connect when having been off it for a long time. Be persistent and patient, because once connected it is stable and just fast enough to stream video. Overall a very modern and comfortable apartment but larger and with a full kitchen, unlike every other place I've stayed or researched in Normandy and anything that even came close would cost far more. I'll always check for availability first at Gites les Pourquoi Pas before booking anywhere else in Normandy.
