Beautiful property, loved our stay and the views.

We had a group of 9 for the weekend and had plenty of space. The sleeping arrangements were excellent, especially being able to put 4 teenagers in their separate, but still attached room! The lake and dock area were enjoyed by everyone. I would highly recommend this property!

We had an enjoyable family vacation here for a few days with a pontoon boat rental. The hostess provided all the information we sought including where to rent from. The game room was an added bonus for family fun, and the screened in porch provided a great evening hangout.

We enjoyed our stay here, and Allison was so helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions. She accommodated all of our requests and questions perfectly! This was our first trip to Smith Lake, and this property exceeding all of our expectations. We were in a perfect area on the water and hope to book our stay here again next year!

We love love loved this home on Lake Smith. The home is exactly as advertised and was very clean and perfect for our family of 6. We just loved it and will definitely be back!

Beautiful property with gorgeous views nestled away from reality😊

We absolutely adored the property!! The kitchen is well stocked and the views are so peaceful and beautiful. We didn't try to navigate the roads to get there after dark but it was not a problem staying in and relaxing on the porch and the dock. (We didn't have the best phone service at times and it was a drive to get to the property. ) Verizon didn't work well but ATT service was great. Wifi worked well too onsite. Stairs are steep so keep in mind if you have little ones or elderly. Sunrise and sunsets on the porch were dreamy and we did not want to leave! The game room was perfect to watch a movie , play games and hang out. We felt completely safe and it was quiet and very peaceful. Water was a little cool for us in mid May so we didn't use paddleboards. We are already planning our return trip there!!

For a Mother’s Day weekend, I brought my mom, two aunts, and dad for a relaxing time at Dock Around the Clock. Booking was so easy and Allison communicated well throughout the process. We felt at home the moment we arrived- it’s so warm and welcoming! It had EVERYTHING we could ask for. There was plenty of storage places for our food and personal items throughout the house- pantry, cabinets, closets! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. There were places to gather throughout the property and enough space to have privacy. THE VIEW was wonderful. Most of our time was spent on the screened in porch- eating at the table, rocking and observing lake life, listening to wildlife and each other! I enjoyed walking down to the floating deck/ boat dock to sun and cool off in the lake using a provided float. My parents declared that they were now “lake people”! Thank you for making this weekend a true gift!

We were able to spend an unplanned few days with close family friends at "Dock around the clock". It was our first time to Smith Lake. The pictures online do not give justice to how pretty the area is and the amazing lake views from the house. The dock was a favorite spot with the kids playing in the water and on the paddle boards. The house was great, especially with the detached game room, with plenty of room for our two families. We could have spent the whole time enjoying the different sitting areas on the decks. The house was clean and well appointed for our needs. The whole point to the trip was to spend time with friends, the house made the time that much better.

This property is larger and lovelier than pictures! Ample (comfortable) seating, both inside and outside. Beautifully appointed home with well-stocked kitchen. Even has a second fridge, which would be critical for a large group on a week-long stay as shopping is 30 (Dollar Gen) to 45 (Walmart) minutes away via a plethora of 2-lane country roads. North-facing lake views are stunning, allowing ability to see sunrise and sunset to your right and left. Life here is all about the lake - this is not a location with tourist attractions to take kids to. It feels blissfully off-the-grid yet the Wi-Fi and tv streaming worked well on multiple devices! Do note that the house sits @40’ above the lake - while the very steep walkway to the dock is sturdy and well-railed, there are a couple places out back that have treacherous drop-offs, so small children would need to be corralled at all times. The game room bedroom is a separate building with its own bathroom…our teenagers adored the privacy but would also offer nice separation for multiple families!

The house is beautiful and very comfortable! We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

The view from the house is beautiful.

With family traveling in town for an extended visit, I thought we'd try the lake rather than the beach. This property on Smith Lake is close to both Huntsville and Birmingham. The view from the deck and screened porch are just as shown. The dock was roomy and the entire area was peaceful. We couldn't have asked for a better view, layout and all around wonderful house on the lake for our family.

View from the back porch was great. Very quiet and the house was furnished very well. From the crown molding to the indoor shutters to the immaculate jacuzzi tub and shower.

This place was amazing. Has a perfect spot overlooking the open lake. We all had a great time swimming and jumping off the dock. The kayaks and SUP were used daily by our crew! Such a great added touch to offer free of charge. We even rented a boat one day and had a blast checking out the beautiful lake. We did notice that two of the steps leading down to the lake are in need of repair and could be dangerous if stepped on the wrong way. Also, the ladder leading down into the water needs to be retightened into place. But overall we would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your property!!

The house was perfect for our family visit with two young children. The property was immaculate and had lots of amenities provided. The dock was great and we all enjoyed our time swimming in and looking at the beautiful lake. It is a lovely retreat.

My friend and I took our kids to the lake. There were 9 kids between us aged 5-17. We all had a great time. Nobody was ready to go. It was clean, comfortable and very nice. It was quiet and we enjoyed spending most of our time in the lake on paddle boards or sitting on the dock. The game room was lots of fun and a great place for some to be a little rowdy without disturbing neighbors or those needing to be quiet in the main house. Game room/bunk room is just a few feet from the main house. The kitchen was well supplied and easy to use.

The house was perfect for celebrating our daughters 16th birthday with friends and family. We loved the property and the location on the lake, we definitely plan to book again.

We booked this home for five nights over the long Memorial Day weekend. We were extremely pleased with the overall experience. The kitchen is well-equipped with lots of serving and baking dishes and everything you would find in your own kitchen including a large crockpot. The screened-porch over looking the lake was fabulous, and we ate every meal out there. The dock itself is spacious with a bar for hanging out along with paddleboards (2) and kayaks (2) that were so nice to have when we were not on the boat we rented. There is plenty of room to unpack with spacious closets and chest of drawers. My son invited three of us friends to join us for part of the stay. They LOVED the game run complete with bunk beds and a pull-out sofa. Despite me offering them to make use of the other bedrooms in the home - they all bunked in together! The space has it's own bathroom, air hockey table, foosball and large TV. It does have a separate entrance but still steps away from the main house. They had an absolute blast! And my husband and I enjoyed the peace and quite at night! :-) The Publix is a 45-minute drive, so I recommend bringing what you need so you only have to take maybe one trip to the store. The sunset views were spectacular! The home was clean with lots of extra blankets and plenty of bath towels. There is an extra freezer in the laundry room. The owners are extremely responsive when I had a few questions. Overall, I highly recommend this home especially if you have older children who want to hang separately but close enough you can keep a watchful eye!

House couldn't have been better. Well kept and maintained. Great property and views! The only downside to speak of would be the roads (not their fault just the lack of maintained country roads) to the house, and the distance it is from a store or ability to aquire something.

house was beautiful. decor was amazing. lake view was gorgeous. owners were very available, and very helpful throughout the rental process. highly recommend this lake house for short or long vacation
