Lovely location, well stocked with essentials like tea,coffee and toilet roll. Gorgeous period property.Very clean.

There is certainly a need for some basic maintenance. The kitchen doors need rehanging, the washing line didn’t have anywhere to secure it, and we couldn’t open the French windows into the courtyard. A property which caters for five people should have five dining chairs and lastly, although it wasn’t an issue for us the lack of a bannister is possibly a possible hazard.

Location was lovely. Beds and sofas very comfortable.

We arrived to uncleaned property (beds slept in and dirty towels strewn upstairs, etc). We called and were told someone would be there within 40 minutes. Hour and a half (and lots of calls) later two people (who were lovely) arrived to clean. We'd been told we would have to leave the property for cleaning to take place but agreed after discussion we would wait in one room then move to another so that could be cleaned too. We received credit for one night to compensate this - fair enough. However there were lots more problems I'm afraid. Parking isn't on a drive but across a green on roadside. The washing machine stank and made our clothes stink (we had to wash them twice when we got home to get rid of it) and tumble isn't working so we had to bring the stinking clothes wet back home in carriers. Lights in kitchen and in utility are not working. Headboard in master bedroom was broken. The second double bedroom has a bedside lamp but no socket to plug it into. Only socket in that room being at the bottom of the bed (and worked only intermittently). The toilet flush works approx once in 10 times. The baking trays were rancid, we tried washing them but something very dirty and sticky all over them, so used lots of foil and baking paper to cover them up so we could use them at all. There were no fans - we went out to buy two the second day after very uncomfortable night.
