Excellent location

The View

No phone signal , no Wi-Fi , non comfortable mattress, the hot water in the shower is very cold not hot at all. No facilities.

No breakfast available for apartment guests only if resident in hotel

Dirty inside and outside the property. No basics tea or coffee. No cleaning equipment except a brush and pan. Had to buy washing up liquid and kitchen cleaning products. Soft furnishings stained dirty and smelly. Staff were friendly. Pub was much cleaner than the apartment. At £100 a night it was not good value. Definetely not luxury more like a student grot. Floors were only clean in certain parts. Horrible filthy old rug in the middle of the floor that was curled up and dangerous. The location is amazing but really nothing positive to say about the accomodation.

The location is stunning!! The view is breathtaking. It is a comfy little house with most things you will need. Spotlessly clean!! Well heated, I never felt cold. The staff was accommodating and friendly, apart from one person... But hey, we all have off days.

I cannot say there is anything I disliked—just personal preference. Iron and board would have been great. My clothes were in my case, and some were creased when I removed them. A hairdryer would have been good too. Some washing-up liquid for the dishes would have been handy also.

Fab stay at the Lookout. Cosy accommodation with a very comfortable bed and loved waking up to the sound of the sea. Very quiet with fab views of the beach. Food next door at the Marsden Grotto was delicious and staff very friendly. Lovely coastal walk into South Shields.

Just to note this is not ground floor apartment as advertised. Has one flight of stairs which was an issue for our dog.
