Fabulous location. Beautiful house, lovely furnishings and decor. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend.

It wasn’t a major issue but a hairdryer would have been handy. Also no garden to sit out in but it is literally on the banks of the river, so plenty of walks close by.

The views from the Kitchen windows are stunning we could sit there all day. The beds were very comfortable. Clearly a lot of effort has been put in. it was immaculately clean. Well equipped.

Nothing it was perfect.

Spent a long weekend here with family and we were just blow away with the views onto the river and castle! The house is clean, spacious and it’s clear Kate has make an effort to make it very homely. Location is a short walk into town, and we found it the perfect base for also driving to nearby sights we wanted to visit. Would return just to wake up to that view again!

The house is very cosy, very clean and can lots of sunlight to brighten up all the rooms(dining room/living room/bedrooms). Can tell the owner has put a lot of thoughts into the house, and the clear house guide/instructions is very useful . The view of Barnard Castle, a stone bridge and river is just exceptional! Kate is very friendly and very responsive if you need to contact her. Highly recommended!
