Excellent place to stay & fantastic staff very accommodating & right in the heart of Queenstown

Water damage, mould. Absolutely filthy and disgusting.

Great location. Appreciated not having to put children in car as hotel was right in city. Staff very friendly, especially reception staff.

Great location, easy access to all transports, including public bus right in front of the hotel.

Brilliant position right in town so easy walking to restaurants. View of the mountains, room was comfortable, staff were amazing actually. Every staff member was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful especially the staff looking after our conference room.

5 star service everywhere in hotel, from check in to breakfast. In room menue was better before so we didnt have mains but 2 desserts were bliss. More easy in room dining options would have been great

Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions about what to do and where to eat around Queenstown and it’s within walking distance of pretty much everything. Convenience store located right next door which was super helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Shower head is too low for tall people. On arrival reception girl was too difficult to understand, however other staff members are excellent.

Nice property near the village

Lakeview rooms are wonderful! We took the public bus to & from the airport with the stop right in front of the hotel. Would have liked some porrige/oatmeal on the breakfast buffet. I appreciated the kichen microwaving my leftovers...good staff, thank you.

Great property, staff,location, convenience, we loved it! Wonderful walking trails with a botanical garden, water, mountains, spectacular views....I highly recommend!

By 20:30 pm, most guests that would be staying the night should be at the hotel by then. Any room that is vacant has probably lost any more chances of generating revenue that night. So why not give a customer a free upgrade which actually cost the hotel nothing? That goodwill would cost the hotel chain 10 x more in marketing budget. IHG spend so much in advertising trying to reach a customer. So when a customer is already inside your hotel, the staff can buy this guest’s loyalty for nothing. However, this concept was foreign to the reception staff at checkin.

great stay with a really good location. Room was large and well appointed. Staff were friendly, helpful.... the breakfast was particularly good - could skip lunch :-). About the only small negative was the "gym". It was very minimal, few weights, runner, elliptical, and rower. I strongly recommend getting a single bench - would make the rack of weights far more useful. Small complaint but for a person that really uses the hotel gym, essential.

Great location. Friendly front desk staff. Hotel dated and in need of upgrade, although saying that it is very clean. Gym very disappointing, small, smelly and very limited equipment. Buffet breakfast good if you have no dietary requirements but wouldn't waste the additional money paying for it.

Great location, hotel is very tired. The Receptionists are like robots. We do not feel that the room rate was warranted.

Wonderful hotel, service, location, and staff.

Our stay was good, however, you need more than 3 washers and driers given that Queenstown is a big adventure area. I had to get up at 7am to ensure i could get a washer to wash our wet and muddy clothes from milford track before we moved on. Tried 3 times the afternoon/night before and all in use each time.

Centrally located with plenty of easy walking to dining options and shopping. Bus available right outside and most tours picked up from the hotel. Rooms nice and comfortable with all the facilities one could want. An enjoyable stay.

Brilliant location for exploring Queenstown in every single way. Walkable, safe and still quiet.

This accommodation was extremely convenient was close to restaurants tour operators . Great views and surprisingly quiet. Late January trip. Would recommend.

Walking distance to downtown

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Queenstown across the street from the Boardwalk and Lake Whakatipu. There are many good restaurants and stores within walking distance and it gets most of the essentials right; front desk personnel were welcoming and efficient, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable, it had an electric kettle, coffee and tea and a small refrigerator and there was hot water, good water pressure and efficient drainage in the shower. In other ways the Crowne Plaza Queenstown does not meet expectations; it advertised a 'courtyard view,' which turned out to be a very small space outside the patio door shared by all the other rooms facing the 'courtyard,' with no chairs, little space and a view only of the street several feet away. If you are going to spend any time in your room, you will probably want a view over the lake and preferably a few floors up from the ground floor. Also the bathroom in my room was old and in need of updating; the basin had cracks and while I was there the plastic covering on the bathroom light fell off. I expected more considering the high cost of these accommodations.
