Nice and spacious room with a coffee maker and fridge, but no microwave, for some reason. The resort is clean, but very isolated if you don’t have a car and the dining options are all expensive. Best one was Coastal Crust, which has decent pizza and very good meatballs. DO NOT let the front desk call you a cab - the car service they use charges $25 flat fee, even if you are only going a couple miles away. Lyft/Uber are available, but may take up to half an hour to arrive at the resort.

Beautiful property with everything within close range. My only recommendation would be to offer rentals on site for surfboards, body boards, paddle boards etc.

Our room in the Boardwalk Inn was very nice. Everything else was subpar. Pools are dirty and overcrowded. Limited choices of restaurants and food is extremely overpriced. Staff is incompetent across the board. We left a day early because the experience was so bad. I was told by 3 hotels workers that we would be refunded for the final night. When the refund never came it took 8 phone calls and hours on hold to be told that I needed to file a dispute with my credit card company. I could not be more disappointed in this entire experience. A complete waste of money. Skip Isle of Palms and head to Sullivans Island.

We drove so far to have a 4th of July celebration on the beach, they offered fireworks on the beach and lying. There was an area with hotel chairs, they charged $15.00 per chair and it was sold out. And for what? to see the fireworks of another resort, almost 1 mile away!!!! What????? get there so they don't celebrate!!! Besides, your check in is at 4:00 and your departure at 10:00, they give you until 11:00. overrated everything. I would never return. If you go, better look for an Airbnb, I saw that there were many and nice ones.

The property was nice. Transportation into town was difficult due to the distance. It took over 30 minutes to get an uber or cab. The price was high for the nightly rate and the rooms at the Boardwalk could use a little refreshing. The staff was nice, however I have had better service at resorts that cost the same price. Lastly, the resort does not offer a shuttle service around the property. I found this odd… I had to walk from the main check in area (different building) with my luggage through a town square, then down a gravel path to the Boardwalk building. I asked for directions to my building, and I was told to walk. Not ideal after traveling 6.5 hrs via plane to get there.

Room was awesome! Stayed on the adult only side of Boardwalk Inn. Loved the spa! Enjoyed the walk to the beach. Food was expensive and not that tasty. Found better options off resort grounds.

Stayed at wild dunes Feb 20-22 on a house hunting trip. Stayed 2 nights. Paid extra resort fees as I wanted a bit of luxury as house hunting is stressful. Can’t believe they called this a resort. Started with poor directions to boardwalk hotel from gate. No one at front desk at 5 pm. Rickety elevator that barely worked. Hardly a resort, less than a courtyard. No room service! Dusty clocks and phone. No answer when calling guest services. Had to pay extra for water! Although promised an area filled with restaurants, only the 2 hotel restaurants were open. I had 2 meals and each over 75.00 plus fees. Then charged resort fees. This should not be called a resort. It’s an old hotel in need of updating. And was charged 35.00 parking fee, even though it was advertised as 25.00.

I stayed in the Boardwalk Inn. It is a smaller hotel next to the Sweetgrass Inn. The Boardwalk is nice and quiet and everything was clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and accomodating. It is limited on the selection of restaurants/ bars/ amenities that the Sweetgrass Inn has nextdoor. I missed the amount of things offered and even though you can walk next door, I did miss it not being right in my hotel. If you are looking to be away from all of that, the Boardwalk is the place to stay. Both places are very nice!

My husband and I booked a room at the Sweetgrass Inn for a weekend getaway, and the resort was perfect! The pools are heated, the beach access is quick and beautiful, not to mention the room and balcony were updated and relaxing! We already can’t wait to come back!!!
