Lovely place.

The hotel is in a great location, walkable to many places and close to multiple public transport stops. The room is small, but it’s manageable. The front desk staff is super friendly and willing to help. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is very conveniently located near tram transport, museum square and other attractions. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom was also spacious. There was a large selection at breakfast to please all tastes.
We had a pleasant stay and could certainly recommend this property.

I slept very well, as I always do at this hotel. It's quietly tucked away from the centre of the city.
It would be nice that when coming down for breakfast at 9.50 that there is still breakfast, as both mornings before 10am it had run out. Paying full price to scrape around for it is not good, especially as breakfast finishes at 10.30am.

Good hotel and good services but one thing I didn’t like upon checking in was trying to convince me to move from my original reservation of a suite to premium room. Whilst I appreciate it may not have been much of a difference it sounded like a downgrade then an upgrade.

The hotel is pricy but very old and not fresh at all. The room was not cleaned, it was hair from a previous guest in the bed, the AC did not work. And in general a very old and not clean place. Would not recommend.

The location is very convenient, close to the city center, park and museum.

Good location, near tram stops, near Leidseplein. Lots of restaurants and nightlife, but on a quiet street.
Good-sized room, with desk, tv, good air-conditioning, and a little fridge.
Bathroom was ok, though smaller sized - shower not spacious but good. Toilet squashed in the corner with not a lot of room.

Great location and excellent staff. Nice breakfast and restaurant. The floor in our room had a incredibly large tilt of 4.6 degrees, making it difficult to walk.

Great hotel near the major museums, Vondel park, lots of food options and easy access to the trams and busses. Very walkable, extremely pleasant and helpful staff, quiet (they were doing some renovations in a room close to us but you'd only be bothered if you stayed in your room during the middle of the day – and if you're doing that, Amsterdam isn't the right destination for you), and clean. Stay highlight – they stored our bags for the day when we checked out early.

The hotel is located in a nice area which is convenient to some attractions.
The property is outdated, with some facilities not working well (i.e., elevators), and staff was not well informed of the reservations. For instance, even if we have reserved and paid for two rooms through Expedia, the check-in person gave us only one room

Room was larger than some of the other similar hotels in the area. There are a few steps between the front desk and some of the rooms, and it's a little confusing at first. Front desk and restaurant/bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The one issue that we had is that the restaurant has low quality food. Of the very limited options, we chose a pizza, and it arrived cold/still partially frozen. We brought it back, and the server later said he used the wrong oven temperature. So, yeah, go out to a different restaurant if you want good food.

We had an amazing stay at the Catalonia Vondel Amsterdam. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and super helpful. The location is prime, in walking distance to most of the museums, plenty of restaurants and bars, the Leidseplein square, and of course Vondel Park, as well as tram and bus stops. A five minute walk to the airport express bus stop for quick and easy transportation to and from Schiphol airport. Though not all the rooms are as spacious as the triple we had for the majority of our stay, they make the most out of the space they've got. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was lovely and the staff was accomodating. I didn't care for breakfast and it was expensive, so seeing as it is optional no big deal.

Fantastic location- a quiet street but right around the corner from canals, museums, bars & restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room was clean and comfortable. Our only issue was the air conditioner kept shutting off. It would not have been a problem, except that our room was on the ground floor & therefore the windows did not open (for security reasons). Even with that, I would 100% stay here again.

The only issue was the temperature in the room.
I’m not an air conditioning aficionado and would much rather open the window to let some fresh air into the room, but the noise of nonstop construction and cars honking created a very uncomfortable situation. It was a choice of trying to sleep in a hot, somewhat quiet room, or getting some fresh air and hearing the outside chaos.
Other than that, great property, helpful staff, close to everything you need.

Really quirky hotel with lots of little stairwells and hallways - my teenage son and I loved it. Very accommodating staff and great location. Try the pancakes club for breakfast- about 3 blocks away.

Perfect location close to restaurants, shopping, park, trams, museums. Lots of things within walking distance and about a 25 min tram ride (#2 & #12) to central station (from where most of the day tour buses operate). The view from the room was not scenic but bad either and was ok for me and my family as we were out touring through the day. Good and safe place to stay for first time AMS tourist like me. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The bathroom tub, sink and mirror where a bit higher as if designed for tall people (> 6ft) but again not a big deal. Overall happy with choosing this hotel and recommend.

Hotel was really great and comfy. So close to tram and Vondelpark has great location. You can also reach to Dam / city center by walk. Room was clean not so big but it was enough for 2 people. Staff was really helpful and kind. Neighborhood is also really quite and calm Definitely recommend.

Staying at the Catalonia was a great experience. The room was perfect (nicely sized, comfortable beds, a wonderful bathroom with full sized shower and air conditioning). Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is our stay of choice in Amsterdam!

The hotel location is excellent. The room comfortably arranged and bathroom is a bit small but clean. The front desk staff Mike and Thomas were very nice and helpful. There are few steps to the hotel lobby so not convenient for guests with heavy luggage’s. Thanks to Kennith helping us with all the luggage’s.

Blocked drain stank out the corridors and don’t get a basement room you get kept awake from everyone walking and bashing around above you.

Very nice hotel in great location to south of city but only minutes to everything. Hotel was quiet, but well maintained with friendly staff. Recommend for couples, families or anyone who wants quality and peace and quiet.

Not especially bad but beyond the reception, the place is quite old and in need of upkeep. Carpeting in the hall is old and stained, room was squalid with decorative plastic sewage pipes covering the wall. A tiny bathroom you can’t comfortably sit in without banging your knees on the wall while doing your business. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels in Amsterdam and this one was the highest priced with the lowest value for money. The staff was very nice though.
