A short but uphill walk from train station they have transport but it’s 5 Swiss francs a person but a doable walk with a carry on bag Breakfast was sumptious , quiet area but no t close to any restaurants but Zermatt is a small but beautiful town so everything is in walking distance

I had a reservation at this hotel but had to cancel because my wife became very ill with food poisoning. I fully understood the reservation was non-refundable, but given the situation, I asked Hotels.com to contact the hotel on my behalf to request a partial refund. To my surprise, the hotel refused to offer any flexibility or even attempt to negotiate, despite the circumstances being beyond our control. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to work with us was extremely disappointing. Next time I’m in Zermatt, I will definitely not be staying here. Very poor customer service.

The hotel was very clean & convenient that it had a restaurant, bar & breakfast. The rooms had a great terrace that had nice views. One of our party was able to get a fantastic photo of the "golden horn" when she happened to wake up at 6am and looked out the window and saw it. We had to make changes to our reservations prior to our visit, the staff was very accommodating and made sure we received confirmation of the change (so much that they called to make sure we saw it), For those wondering about the recent floods, we did not notice anything amiss in the town or hotel. The only issue was having to take a bus for part of the way into Zermatt, but that only provided lovely views, and of course affected the whole town and not just this hotel. No SC but it was not needed during our stay in July.

Nice clean hotel. Close to Zermatt station but it’s on a hill so it can be tricky if you have big or lots of luggage. Breakfast was good. I would stay again

Hotel was awesome! Staff was great! Room was perfect and the breakfast was outstanding! We would stay there again. Beware that the walk to the hotel is steep. Hotel is high up so this could be a challenge to some although we loved it.

Awesome hotel only about 200 yards from the town center, so it was convenient. Quiet area too. There is a hill to walk up to the hotel but it didn’t bother anyone in my family. If you’re going skiing it was very convenient to the Sunnegga funicular and the ski rental shop next to it. We loved our room which had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. The whole staff was very friendly. They even had a cool bar/living room off the lobby. And the bowl of oranges in the lobby were absolutely amazing. The breakfast was also very good with tons of options. We want to go back there.

Very nice and quiet area of Zermatt that is less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and 12 minutes from the town center.
Rooms are very nice, big and clean. Four single beds, nice big bathroom and same floor as reception. Window view was not great but you don't really go to Zermatt to view things from your window. You walk and hike the area!
Breakfast is outstanding with a lot of food choices (fruit, meats, bread, coffee, juice). Staff are quite friendly and always ready to give advice. Would not have any hesitation in booking in this place again.

Hotel Holiday was a great place to stay in Zermatt. You can easily walk to anywhere in the town from the hotel. The Gonergrat lift is very close to the hotel, and makes it easy for skiing. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was an excellent way to start the day. It is also nice that the restaurant is open for dinner and that the food is delicious.

Cons: they don’t have expectation to supply shampoos, be ready to bring some or go to the market (very strange), our room safe batteries died during our stay and they didn’t service, they don’t have expectation to vacuum the room while cleaning… we stayed a week and had to request vacuuming… no coffee machine, water machine or tea provided in room. Covid practices of restaurant staff not particularly consistent when comes to wearing of masks…

He got us checked in a little early and made our stay enjoyable. Roberto waited on us in their restaurant. He was a gracious host and even packed us breakfast since we left early one morning to catch the cable car to Glacier Paradise. We would recommend this quaint hotel and their staff. Nice boutique hotel with a great view of the Matterhorn. Front staff was very helpful and friendly. She made our welcome great. Service at breakfast was a little lacking. Staff seemed overwhelmed. Room was great. WiFi was quick.

Property is very good and staff is very pleasant and extremely helpful and understanding. It is a short steep uphill walk from public bus stop and shopping area. We took many Taxis, at our old age not an easy walk.

Our expectation was a room with three single beds, but it ended up being two single beds and a pull-out couch - and that pull-out was not very comfortable at all. Otherwise, enjoyed some good food and amazing sights!!

It was a well managed hotel. The staffs seemed well trained and the room was clean. However, I was not satisfied with its location. It is located on a hill, so it took a longer time to get there and quite hard to reach there with a heavy luggage. I chose the hotel since it was saying it has a "mountain view" but it means that you cannot see anything but other hotels from your balcony.

The room was as advertised. It's not in a very popular location, but within 10 minutes walking distance from the train station. I like how the hotel offers pick up from the train station for those who have heavy suitcases. It's only 5 CHF per person per ride. That's not bad. The location is close to restaurants that are rated well and not too expensive (for Switzerland standards). I would highly recommend this place.
