The hotel was fine. It was clean, staff was nice and friendly. Had never been to South Africa so it wasn't in an area that I expected it to be after seeing the pictures online. But all was fine.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed here prior to and after a cruise. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport. They also shuttled us to the docks to board the ship. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet (included) and the food service outside by the pool. Delicious food in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Great location to be close to the ocean and the docks. The staff were very polite and accommodating.

Stayed for 4 nights at beginning of a 2 week stay. The hotel itself is great. The rooms are spacious, if a little dated. Really nice breakfast around the pool. The Stella bar does fabulous food and drinks at very good prices. The staff are excellent. Lovely pool area. There's iced water and even complementary sun cream. My issue is the location. It's in the financial district so there's nothing around. There's a complentary hourly bus to the waterfront which is very handy. The hop on hop off bus stops very nearby. Although the hotel is less than 1km from the bars and restaurants of Bree Street, when we tried to walk, we were almost mugged by an organised gang less than 100m from the hotel. This was at 11.30 am when we attempted to go out for a post breakfast coffee. If leaving the hotel at all, you need to take an Uber.

The room was dated, TV had a bad signal, shower and toilet were not functioning good. There was a bath but this is unneccessary. The gym was not well equipped. At ground floor all looked nice, cafe was good and the food in there was amazing. Personnel was friendly, also at breakfast.

Our stay was fabulous at this beautiful property. All the employees were so friendly and helpful. The meals at Stella were delicious. The sweet and spicy margaritas were wonderful. The wait staff were excellent. The property, rooms and lobby were extremely clean and well kept. I enjoyed one of the best massages at the spa by Lolisa! Special thanks to: John, Anthony the manager and Serina. Also, Freddy the shuttle driver was so friendly and helpful. You must select this hotel for your stay in Cape Town!

The staff from reception to bar/ restaurant staff were so hard working and kind and tended to your every need. Complementary shuttle to the V&A waterfront was useful. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable.

The Cullinan Southern Sun is a really lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the hotel itself is well maintained & clean. I would recommend it to anyone staying in Cape Town

The hotel room was a little tired. The air conditioning was poor - it was so humid in the room that the towels were wet constantly.

Good location with shuttles to V&A. More of a Business hotel. Not many activities for family with kids.

The whole place oozes class staff very friendly and helpful couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable

The hotel itself is really well staffed, all of them are super helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I suppose the best review message I can put is: "We are re booking two weeks in 2024 as a result of our experience there" I would recommend this hotel and it's employees

Was very impressed we were able to get our room on arrival in the morning after a long night flight. We were very grateful as we were very tired. Breakfast was fantastic Bedroom a little tired could go with a bit of a spruce up.

Its a lovely hotel, well located, convenient. But rooms very old and dated. My shower was dribbling. Equipment , fittings tired and old. Staff are excellent though. Breakfast amazing too

The property is very close to the cruise terminal and waterfront. It is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was (according to husband) the best one he has ever had.

The restaurant was closed during our stay. Very disappointing.

This hotel has a great location near the end of the main shopping street. It is also quite close to the harbour side shopping/eating area which is walkable but they also provide a complimentary shuttle bus. The staff we met were all very friendly welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and serviced daily.

Very well located. Cant think of any negatives. The staff from the check in to the breakfast next day were all friendly and very hospitable and helpful.

The location is good. You could walk to the waterfront in 10 minutes, even though there is a free shuttle bus.Staff at the property are very friendly and professional.Breakfast is very good in a pleasant environment.
