We requested to view the rooms before allocating to us. They show us the room and before we accept the room, they blocked the room and told us that it’s not available the next day onwards. The next day, we saw the room which we wanted was allocated to another tourist. My personal option was the rooms should be allocated based on first come first serve basics. The room we stayed required refurnishment.

The apartment was in very poor and rundown state. Lots of furnitures are either worn out or broken. Sofa has stains. Walls have mould and stains. It’s quite disgusting.

Great hotel , just little bit old may need more renovation and improvement on breakfast buffet, all foods on buffet only have chicken bites for nasi lemak. The rest of foods like likely for vegetarians.

The only saving grace for this hotel was the staff were generally polite and they tried their best to provide good service. Hotel is too old and dated, cleanliness need to improve especially toilet. The hotel is noisy with many children running about and making a lot of noise during the day and even at night, so it’s not suitable for couples. Food quality was not good . It is not easy to get grab here. No shuttle service either so you have to either walk or rent vehicle in Cameron Highland. Coaches departing for Singapore do not want to pick you up at this hotel and will request you to walk to the roadside below the hotel.

We would not recommend this hotel. It seems out of date and feels like it has been a while since someone invested money in it. Our suite was very cold, there was mold in the bathroom. The international breakfast was not worth the money. The pool was alright for the kids to splash in, but the pool times were strict (9 am to 5:30 pm).

Wifi was not working … Very limited options at breakfast buffet… Very old hotel and carpets are fully stained. You can hear water leaking noise and kids playing in above floors.

Condition of room is good and spacious with good farm view. Room is clean except for the musty smell, however open up with the fan on helped to clear off quite quickly. Breakfast range is quite good.

Apartments under name of Copthorne should also hold up its reputation. Poor maintenance & cleanliness are not good experience for first time visit.

This hotel is very run down-we booked a Premium Deluxe room, and other than being large it didn’t meet basic standards. Everything was worn and very dusty. Walls were thin and neighbors noisy. Plumbing also had issues-bathtub filled with water during shower -Maintenance could not fix. Also very loud knocking noise at all hours from the water pipes. Carpet worn and dirty, given a larger room when I complained but no better. 2nd room was missing a desk lamp-we called and asked so many times as we needed the light to work at night - we were promised many times-it finally came on day 3! The location is problematic as the market causes massive traffic jams both ways all day-coming back from either side took 1-2 hours each day when it should have been 15 minutes. We tried to leave early it was so bad, but we’re told cancellations needed to be done 7 days in advance (Expedia said midnight of day before). It is rare for me to write a bad review, but unfortunately in this case I have no choice but to be honest.

I just want to inform you that the information that was available in Expedia was not the same . For example you mentioned that the swimming pool is available however it was not. Also you mentioned spa is available but it was not. Even though in general the lace was nice and the trip is amazing.

Hotel bathrooms are very old and dirty,lots of small flies in the bathroom, ants are everywhere in the room, broken doors.

Cameron Highlands is good value for family vacation, but avoid Copthorne Hotel. Poorly maintained with closed restaurants and bar. Staff is unwelcoming and not interested in assisting clients. The only pleasant surprise was the recreational staff (Nora) who took us on a very nice hike 2-hour straight from the hotel.

Master room's toilet was choked unable to flush, even with the help of the maintenance staff still choked. No room cleaning service unless you inform them in advance.

This hotel is a bit run down - the wall paper in corridor peels off - some stranger odour too. A Malay family staying next door to our room was cooking (or preparing noodles) with some special dried fish ingredient they brought in, and the smell was awful. However, the balcony view is fantastic.

The hotel is average comfortable considering the number of years it has been around. The facilities need upgrading especially the door lock which can be a security concern. Nonetheless, my stay is pleasant and comfy for me.

Overall rundown condition

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff were not helpful. Towels were not changed and rooms were not cleaned. Rooms were dirty Carpet and floor not clean. The whole hotel should be closed and completely cleaned. Disgrace to the Copthorne name and Management
