Our stay was for a soccer tournament. Were able to check in at 1:00 p.m. Even though check-in time is 3:00 p.m. front desk clerks were very helpful. The hotel is currently being renovated so the back half of the hotel is partially dismantled for construction. That however did not affect our room stay. The room was okay. We didn't have any obvious issues with the cleanliness. However, one of the outlets in the bathroom did not work, but the manager offered to have it repaired or give us another room if we chose to do so. Overall, we just use the room to sleep so as long as that was okay and the room wasn't gross, it was okay. We'll probably try to find a little bit higher quality hotel next time, but would stay here again if need be

Good price, good location. Cigarette/vape smoke in my face as I got out of my vehicle under the front door canopy, hotel under construction, mattress was not comfortable.

Nice place to stay. Good food options for breakfast. Room had plenty of space. Though, it would have been nice for the rooms to be furnished with USB plugs charging cables.

Best Western properties can be hit or miss. Some are updated and very nice. But, this particular property in Decatur, Alabama, was really worn and outdated. We only stayed one night so it was adequate for that.

The lock on the door at the end of the hall leading outside was broken, so anyone could just walk right in without a key card.
Our room had an oversized jacuzzi tub that was dirty, worn, and unsightly.
There was a large patch of hallway carpet that had been removed so the bare floor was exposed. In the same area, drywall was cut out which indicates there was a water leakage issue.
The over hotel looked worn and tired. We will not stay in a Best Western again based on this negative experience.

There was mold in the bathroom on the shower head and you could not understand the workers

I am very disappointed with my stay here. I paid good money for a stay here, and the walls on floor 2 in the halls are missing Sheetrock like some work zone. Not what I was expecting for the money, brought my family along for the stay and very dissatisfied. The room has a bad smell also, sorry but not happy with the stay !

The bottom half of walls of rooms were being repaired and the carpet was ripped up in the hallway where we were. The room was clean but was rather musty.

Looks so nice and not at all. Would be nice to know it’s under renovation. Our hall way was missing carpet lots of doors labeled with tape. Bed was far from comfy and room was not very nice at all for the price. Should tell you they have an outdoor pool. Wanted to relax but can’t really in the pouring rain. Stayed at other places for a lot less that were 10 times nicer. Tried to check out and front desk guy ignored us had about 3-4 room keys laying on the counter so guess that’s normal. Not a great place.

The hotel has gone down. I stayed there years ago and it was very nice. Now it smells like urine and looks rundown. Friendly staff. Never received full housekeeping services. They would only empty trash and provide clean towels. Never made or changed linen on bed in 7 days. Will not stay again

Enjoyed my stay, the only inconvenience was the key machine was broke and so we didn't have a key to go in and out. So we had to prop our door open while we went out to eat. Kind of scary to think someone might take out stuff. But overall the room was nice and clean. There is $200 deposit, but as long as you dont mess up the room you get it back.

We were in town for a family event. We arrived 930 at night to walk into the lobby with the smell of over cooked curry. It was so overwhelming it made my eyes tear up. We still checked in. Went to our room and it smelled up there also. The next morning we still smelled lingering odors.

Last minute booking. Easy check in. Room smelled dirty but I think just old. Bath had small amount of mold around joints. Better cleaning would help. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good with sausage and eggs and typical self serve. Overall ok just needs deep cleaning.

This is my 5th time to this property and i have always had an excellent stay. It is clean, close to shopping ourlets, and has friendly staff. Each time i am in decatur alabama this is my choice for hotel accomodations.

Was average. Pool was closed. Descent breakfast. Had to wait a long time to check in with only 1 person at the desk. A bit overpriced for the experience. Would not have stayed here if I planned a bit better. Not a bad place though...,

Basic No frills-absolutely no frills with small odor hotel. Unfortunately all the Best Westerns that I have stayed at have been uncomfortable for me. When you're scared to shower or let your feet touch the floor, and sleep with a crook in your neck bcuz you don't want the linens touching you. This is me at EVERY Best Western, so I will no longer book there. It's more of a working man, truck driver establishment.

First, the staff were very kind and attentive and very pleasant! Excellent employees.
However, the property smelled awful, especially my room. Like old food or something. The couch had large stains. And the AC was stuffed full of bounce sheets, i assume to mask the smell. (Unsuccessfully)
Someone in my hallway was smoking weed the whole weekend so there was that smell also.
There were some questionable people also in a room down the hall… several scantily dressed girls and a couple guys. It was worrisome.
We were there for a long weekend due to a death in the family, and basically only slept there and it was just too much trouble to ask for a refund and go find another place. But I won’t be back.

Alabama in the summer is a difficult time for hotel air-conditioning. The room had a constant dampness. Shower towels never dried even over night. The hotel has some years but the property owners have clearly taken action in maintaining the safety and cleanliness. Breakfast was good. Staff was pleasant. The hotel is right off beltline Rd so convenient for single night or longer stays or getting downtown or going getting food/ light shopping.
