Older facility but the bed was good. The manager was helpful. We liked the fireplace. Coffee in the lobby in the morning was nice.

Great location!!! Room was very spacious and had a full kitchen. The motel is quite old and run down and could use a refresh but the location and size of rooms you can’t beat. It’s dog friendly also.

The staff was friendly, the fireplace in the room was cool, and the property was dated but clean. But I can't give this hotel more than a 1-star review because of the internet. They promised wi-fi so I booked this hotel as part of a remote work trip. The wi-fi was not functional. The connection didn't work on my phone either, to the point where it would take 20 minutes to load any image that someone would text to me or to look up restaurants/coffee shops to visit. When I asked the front desk person about it, they said it's "just a Santa Barbara problem," but I've never encountered it at another hotel before. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to work remotely, or even just use their phone in their room.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but there was absolutely no wifi in my room. Wifi is pretty basic for a hotel. Also, the walls are very thin so I had to listen to a couple making out one of the nights. Other than those 2 things the hotel is ok.

Last minute stay after evacuating from the Mountain Fire. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little firm for my liking.

Basic utility motel room, but one block from beach and reasonably priced. No A/C, just fans. Wi-Fi sporadic, can't depend on connecting to internet. Pleasant staff. Will repeat.

I had to use shower shoes in the bathroom and there is no air conditioning. They charge you parking, then we found out it was supposed to be free for ca residence. The back of this hotel parking lot faces a pitch black park and people sleep on that street. The office closes at random times and you have to schedule late check ins. I did not want to get in the blankets. The staff is nice but they all lie at all hotels about rates, fees, prices. The woman do a great job.

Good price on line but a number of somewhat hidden costs for booking with third party. Lobby staff was focused on their phones more than customer service. A walk to state street but good location for kids and pets. Thank you.

Ok stay but no internet
1.0 / 10.0
First of all, I had to pay $15 to park behind the building in an unsecure lot. I have stayed in Santa Barbara on business for 20 years and NEVER paid for parking.
Internet sucked. It took me an extra hour to get all my orders sent in as I kept getting bumped off the internet.
Lastly, there was no hot water to take a shower so I had to sponge off in the sink.
I will not stay at this facility again.

Really liked how close it was to the beach. The internet service was extremely spotty. We did have a router in our room that we could restart but it was not consistent service.

Great location, EH stay.
You can walk to the beach & zoo. Less than a 10min drive to State St or Funk Zone, must see areas of SB.
You can hear the pipes when people shower, bed super springy, wifi was TERRIBLE, no AC (thank god the heat wave just ended). Pictures showed must've been from when they first opened.

STAY AWAY, looked for anything good to write about it couldn’t find any other than the room service personnel and the location. The TV never worked, and the smoke detector woke up all night long, the staff were extremely rude. My advice, pay extra and stay somewhere else if you want to enjoy your trip.

I love staying in this hotel. It’s so easy and walkable to the beach. There are many dining options. Their markets nearby. The rooms are super clean. There’s a beautiful pool in the middle of the property and the rooms are extremely clean. Staff is very nice. They have a quick breakfast in the morning and easy parking around the area.

Numerous issues with the room. Very loud parties at night and no staff of premises which was a huge issue for numerous reasons. I will say that management was very responsive when I shared my horrible experience after the stay and I do appreciate that.

Great location. 1 block from the ocean. No air conditioning. Ventilation was tough. Cute pool. Friendly staff when found. :-P Bed was like a trampoline. Some may like but I prefer memory foam. TO BE NOTED ~ terrible WiFi connection in a dead zone. Prepare for pilgrim living. Can’t beat the price.

We had a great one night stay. The room was huge and had all the amenities we needed. We were a little concerned that there was no air con but the ceiling fan was great and the tenperature cooled down nicely at night so no issues. The grab and go breakfast was a great addition.

I loved this Inn! Staff sweet and kind. Came late and was guided in. The rrom had a lovable cottage feel with cielong beams and fireplace. Perfect 1 night stay.

STAY AWAY!! I have never left a one-star review for anything, but I have also never regretted booking a hotel as much as I regretted this one. Please do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this dump. The worst part is we paid Santa Barbara $$ for a third-world level of accommodation. It was so bad we decided to sacrifice the money we paid and go to a different hotel.
Our room was disgusting. It was appallingly dirty, dusty, and moldy. The curtains were so filthy I didn't want to touch them. Not a single surface looked wiped down, not even the bathroom sink faucets! I used my own Clorox wipes. Although there apparently were no bedbugs in our room, there was clearly evidence on our sheets, made at some point before we got there, of someone getting bitten by bedbugs (like dots and smears made by a felt tip marker).
Everything was SO old and outdated. The oven had a sign on that said it was out of order, not that we wanted to cook there (yuck). There was also NO air conditioning. You could open the windows, but this is a cheap motel (not an "Inn" as they claim). Anyone could enter your room from the window, and we had kids with us.
There is also NO privacy and it is LOUD. A creepy guy was looking inside at one point, which meant I had to close the filthy curtains. Then we were woken up at 2:30 am by a person in the room above us running back and forth, because the floors are so squeaky and old.
There are also ZERO amenities or perks. NONE. This place was the WORST.

Interesting Inn, possibly revamped from an old apartment complex but in a terrific location just minutes walking to the beach and zoo. Way stayed in a studio-style suite that worked perfect for our overnight trip, and was conveniently close distance to State Street. There was no AC and had to rely on a ceiling fan and windows, and some ticky tacky cosmetic fixes would take this next level. Morning coffee and pastries were lackluster. Overall, amenities were not entirely worth the price paid but the location and comfort helped even that out.

NOT worth the price and honestly feels like a scam. At almost $300/night you get no air conditioning (come on it’s 2024) and WiFi that’s barely working (disconnecting and 1-2Mbps). When I brought it up to the front desk, their response was “unfortunately SB has an internet monopoly and it doesn’t work well anywhere when it’s a busy weekend.” This is joke. Anywhere else we went with WiFi worked just fine. This hotel limits or doesn’t want to invest in their WiFi for customers and charge them an arm and leg anyway.
The rooms are poorly kept. I’ve added photos of what our room looked like. I feel like we got completely cat fished so posting these photos for everyone to see before they book.
Because there is no air conditioning, you have no choice but to open your windows and hear everything that’s going on outside: people walking right in front of your room windows, car alarms going off, etc.
We were booked to be there for 2 nights but ended up checking out a day early because it was hot and not comfortable. They still charged me and I did not get a refund for anything. While I understand “policy”, if your accommodations are not up to par and people keep reviewing as such, it begins to feel like this place is intentionally scamming people.
Just know what you’re getting into. If you want a place near the beach to crash in the evening (again is it worth $300?) it’ll work. But if you need to get ready for a wedding at 3pm in your room, be prepared to sweat while doing so.

Breakfast very poor. Towels thicker than a blanket. Did not like to pay extra for parking.

No AC...and remember that I Love Lucy episode w/the sinking mattress? Yea...same...I hurt my back sleeping on that thing.

We have stayed here before. Seems a bit run down outside. Inside rooms are nice.

Did not enjoy our room location at all. We were right next to the gate to the pool and needless to say the noise from that plus people hanging out on the outside furniture was not ideal. No blinds on the window just curtains that we had to keep shut since our window was right at the pool. The room itself was fine. Just not an ideal location for 2 adults on a getaway.

Great experience, there is parking on the street for free but if you want you can pay 15 for hotel parking. Beach walking distance and restaurants near. For those that have kids, the beach also has a small park. Fireplace added nicely to the ambiance :)
No AC as other stated but doesn’t get too hot there that often.
Coffee in the AM and packaged pastry items.
Big vanity area to get ready. Definitely would stay again especially in cooler months 🤗

Great location/proximity to the beach. Nice sized room
6.0 / 10.0
Our room in some ways was nicer than anticipated - the bedding and having a larger room were great and it was a huge bonus to have a kitchen. But, the kitchen and the bathroom, while both technically clean, were older and thus looked a bit grimey.
The primary issue was with our upstairs neighbors who came home after midnight with a kid who seemed to be doing laps around the room - felt like he was stomping on our heads.
I would stay here again but in an upper room - however, the front desk said the upstairs rooms are only one king bed, and we need two beds when travelling as a family.
Otherwise, LOVE the location and the look of the motels on this street. Being able to walk a block to the beach is priceless and the market on the corner is amazing.

Excellent location close to East beach, nice pool, large bedroom and kitchen area. Our room was next to rear exit gate to car park, whenever the gate was closed the room reverberated which wasn't great, especially at night time.

Don’t stay here. Could not check in until 1 1/2 hours late because the cleaning crew literally preferred to gossip and lounge around instead of cleaning. Watched them take their sweet time it was so rude. Front desk lady couldn’t give us a courtesy call for an eta and seemed intimidated to approach the cleaning crew. Not worth the price.

Stay was ok. You’re paying for the location which was great. Towels and sheets were stained. It seems like they did a very superficial remodel but everything was outdated. Don’t let the pictures fool you.

Everything was good. There was sand on the floor in our room 119. Nice rooms with fireplace and soft color blue inside. Would be nice if there were bagels and cream cheese in the morning like it says on the website. There’s a toaster but nothing to toast. Other than that it’s in a great location.
