This is a bare bones, older motel. It was ok, the staff weren't super friendly. Our tv wasn't working properly and the person on duty acted like it was a great inconvenience to help us. There was a bit of dirt on the floor in our room when we arrived, and my husband found a previous guests' bra in a corner. There are no elevators, so plan on walking the stairs. It was quiet, beds were comfortable, and the price was cheaper than a lot of Boston.

Clean room with updated bath and no carpet which is a plus. We were in a room by the entry/exit door so the door slamming was annoying and noise from adjacent rooms was too. Thin walls and cracks under and around door. Easy quick drive into Boston. Other than that, a good experience.

The morning staff was very friendly, but the evening staff was not. The room amenities were fine, but there was a punched in hole in the bathroom door, holes in the ceilings, and it was just in need of a lot of repairs. Also instructions on how to work the tv would have been nice. Overall it was fine, but not better than other budget hotels.

The staff was friendly. Check-in went smoothly. The room is clean but in need of repair. The bathroom bowl is misaligned - it shakes when you sit on it. No leaks however. The towel rack is missing - only holes in its place. The door peephole is blocked with tissue paper - I was too scared to touch it.

We traveled overnight and got in at 1am. Front desk service wasn't very welcoming (he seemed angry) and kind of creepy because you could see all the security camera tvs in the back room. That aside, the room was gross. There was a used washcloth on the sink, a hair on the towel and a beer bottle under the bed. The beds were uncomfortable and the tv didn't even work properly. Pass on this one if you can.

Hair and debris on bed. Horrible smell. Air conditioner did not work. Immediately left and they claimed they could not do refund. Disgusting

The entrance has several steps and no ramp to the reception desk, and I stayed on the second floor — there was no elevator. My phone didn’t work. The hotel couldn’t resolve this problem. I talked to another traveler, and her phone also didn’t work. My TV was broken, and so was the remote. The front desk clerk came up and could not fix it. The security box in the room was locked open and the hotel couldn’t fix it immediately because the device they use was not working either. The receptionist said they had no other rooms — they are booked.
For a newly remodeled place, the room was in poor condition. The room had no hairdryer, iron or ironing board. I was told that there should be a hairdryer in the room, and I can borrow an iron from the front desk. And, I had to slam the room door to get it to close.
Then checking out, I asked the front desk clerk if he wanted to know what was wrong with the room? The response he gave me was surprising. He said, if you want to, it is a newly renovated hotel, and I don’t want to have an argument. He had a nonchalant attitude and did not care to respond to any of my concerns.
The good: it is right on a bus line that will take you to Harvard, MIT, and downtown; self parking is free; and I didn’t see signs of roaches or bedbugs.

For a one night stay, totally acceptable,as advertised no frills ecno hotel. Location was convenient. But located with a major road on either side of the building very noisy night.
3.6
Old and run down. No elevator, have to carry luggage up the stairs. No assistance.
3.6
Based on other reviews, we weren't expecting much. The hotel was fine, the price definitely reflects what you're getting.
3.6
A fine hotel if on a budget. The outside and hallways are no frills but the room was clean. I liked that there was not a carpet. Great location 3/4 mile from riverside running/biking path.

Our room had one mini bar of soap. No shampoo or liquid soap room was very clean. concierge very helpful
3.6
Clean and comfortable enough for an economy hotel. I would stay there again without concern.

It was a bad experience staying here and thats too bad as the price is right and the location makes it easy to get into the city. The bathroom wasn't clean, hair in the sink and the bed covers had dirt on them. The staff was super disrespectful, running the vacuum cleaner early am right outside our room and being extremely loud in the halls in the early morning. We were woken up several times every morning of our two night stay. I would highly recommend looking for another place to stay if you are coming to Boston.

Got my deposit back immediately. Best price in the area. Friendly staff. Nice location to walk around and explore. If I come to Watertown again, I'll definitely stay there!

Easy to find and park. Room was very clean and comfortable.

I liked that it's close to my sons house and there's no charge for the parking.

I had Expedia points for this stay so I've got it for discounted price. For this price it was good and we stayed just one night. The property is older and I think in the past it was okay to smoke inside the rooms because there is this old smoke-odor all around. The room was okay however I booked a room with queen size bed, we got 2 twin beds. There were some minor imperfections like dirt/blood on the sheets, broken faucet, broken drower handle which would be really easy to fix with little more attention and effort from maintenance/cleaning staff.

I was somewhat leary when I pulled in the parking lot. The outside condition of the hotel was run down and not inviting at all. There were quite a few people who were coming and going and just hanging out outside the building. The check in process was fine but I had to go back outside to use another door to get to my room. The room was small but sufficient and clean. Right outside my door was a door to another parking area which was quite busy and the noise from the door opening and closing was disturbing. The light from the hallway shining under my door was disturbing as well and it was impossible to make the room dark which I prefer for sleeping. For the price I paid, I would not stay here again.

good location, hallways smelled a bit, and soundproofing on the interior needs work, comfortable beds

I’m only giving this 2 stars cause the room was clean. We stayed on the first floor. There is a door to the parking garage that is unlocked until 1130 pm. It is very loud. When we checked in the girl at the desk wasn’t that friendly. When I checked out the guy at the desk just said ok. There was a lot of noise the first night. The people upstairs checked in very late and you could hear everything they said. This was an ongoing problem no matter where you stood in the hotel. There was also a lot of noise that sounded like a dryer door being closed all night long. The second night wasn’t as bad as far as noise went. There was a guy that yelled 3 times to check in cause there wasn’t anyone at the desk. When they respond they gave him an attitude. Yes we heard this all from our room. On the second day our room never received any maid service. We don’t expect a lot but clean towels are always nice. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Best value for money

It was affordable and available which is what I needed when my trip got extended. The room was a mixed bag. Nicely renovated bathroom, comfortable bed and couch, very spacious. On the other hand there was a hole in the bathroom door that looked like someone punched it, a hole in the ceiling that seemed like it was from a leak at some point. Nothing terrible. The staff was very nice and professional.

You stay here for the rate. Period. Not the service, not the amenities. Nothing. Oh, free parking, sorry.

The room it self was a nice, but the walls are paper thin, we called to see if we could check in an hour early and they requested we check in a half hour behind regular time. The parking lot is super tight, I drive professionally and had a hard time parking.

Was clean and quiet

Great place highly recommended..

Very clean rooms. Looked like the rooms were freshly painted and bathrooms had all new sinks, toilets and tubs. If looking for are looking for a hotel like atmosphere, this is not your place. One small hall way on each floor getting to the rooms. Not a bad place just not a hotel. The cost of the night rooms cost is too hign for what you get.

It is a decent place to stay for the money.

I was looking for a hotel near downtown but I could not find one. However, when I arrived to the hotel it made very happy the one I’ve chosen because it feels like you’re in a different city away from noisy streets.
