I feel the hotel management has no standards or class. I literally was paying for a place to sleep and when I called the front desk to complain about the noise level I was told they cannot tell anyone to quiet down. They also took my “deposit” right away- which is not a deposit but a charge. The bathroom towel rack was falling down in my bathroom and almost fell on my head.

It wasn't a stay at all. After watching drug deals go down in the parking lot and having to squeeze past a hostile man with a teardrop tattoo and a beer on the walkway just two doors from my room, I checked out not two hours after checking in. The clerk said I would get a refund. I had to call back to get the refund processed and when they processed it, they kept the first night's fee even though I didn't stay there. When I called and talked to the manager, she was rude and told me that I had booked a hotel in downtown Reno as if that made what was going on there acceptable. This hotel is right off the freeway and it's a dump. The room may have been OK - I wasn't looking for three stars - but it's what was going on outside that was a huge problem. The photo shows one of the people who walked up to this car in the parking lot. The car had the same people in it when I left for dinner and when I got back and they were passing things in and out of the window. And this wasn't the only car that had people just sitting in it before and after I went to dinner.

Very noisy

There was graffiti in the elevator and it sounded like the elevator was going to fall. The door lock didn’t want to open when i tried to open the door, it felt like there was light coming though the bottom corner so i had to safty latch the door to feel safe. The bath tub was chipped and the water phucet wasn't working right. They promised breakfast and it was just a pastry that you can get at the gas station.

Floor was dirty, dry debris or crumbs

The facility was comfortable but not luxurious. It definitely needed updating. The staff members were outstanding! The neighborhood was sketchy. Grab and grow breakfast had excellent muffins.

Room size was good for price and shower worked with good heat and pressure. Cockroaches, small and large.

People partying
on the balcony smoking, drinking, and yelling until 2am
. Woke up so many times I just left at 4:30 am. Low life patrons. Downtown Reno. Never again!

The front desk employees were very hospitable and friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing wrong was with the TV volume it was on low and you couldn't turn it up.
I would recommend this hotel to others.

Room was old and outdated. Very small for two queen beds barely enough room to walk. Seen two cockroaches so was worried about them getting in our things. Got no sleep due to all the outside noise. People hollering, motorcycles driving up and down all night, cars squeeling tires and playing loud music. Finally gave up on getting any sleep and left at 4 am after checking in at 10 pm. Would never stay there again or recommend it.

Nice costumers service but the room itself is not, the room smells smoking…and the room neighbors smoking on the patio outside our room… we didn’t sleep good because of smoke, we have to turn off the aircon because we feel suffocated due to smoke coming from outside…some other issues on the things are tolerable…

There was NO stay. I booked a room for my daughter and 4 others as they were stuck in Reno until the next day. Due to the bank being closed for Labor Day, there was no way for them to get money. When they got there they were told that they would have to pay an additional $100.00 deposit. I offered to pay it with a card and was told the card had to be present. They ended up sleeping in the car and I am out the money. NOT a happy person.

The hotel has many clauses and restrictions for the client and what it offers is terrible customer service, dirty rooms, old facilities, it does not have parking for all its rooms, I do not smoke and they say non-smoking and the rooms smell of tobacco.

Beware. Pictures are deceiving. Run down property, stunk like cigarettes. Floor was filthy, it appears floors haven’t been mopped ever. My grandson wore no shoes or socks while in the room and his feet were black! Used my Lysol wipes to clean up liquid I spilled, wipes were completely black. Just a run down property all together. Staff complained that their co-workers either quit or didn’t come in. Nasty place and I left a day early bcuz I couldn’t stand staying there. Sketchy people also hung around the property. Windows were closed but heard people all night yelling and talking like it was daylight. Lesson learned.

We stayed here because we needed a non-frills, affordable hotel. We will not be back.
The service at the desk was ok. The two times we had to go to the desk, there was one person at the desk, a line of guests, and the phones ringing off the hook. The gal working the desk was doing the best she could to keep her head above water. I have nothing bad to sat about her, but 2 people maybe helpful. Our first room smelled like pot. The kind lady at the desk moved us to a different room. Our biggest complaints were the location (we were not familiar with Reno) and the noise. We already did not feel very safe, but night 1 we woke up to noisy cars, sounded like they were racing, and then a baby crying... the least sound-proof hotel room I have ever stayed in. Night 2, we literally woke up to the sound of gunshots. Will not be back.

If don't want any sleep this your place. If enjoy people smoking outside your room and taking loudly at all hours of the night this your place. If you enjoy people sitting in there cars bumming there stereos this is your place. There's no security. The pictures on the website are very deceiving. The suppose breakfast is a joke. I can't believe Howard Johnson/Travel Lodge associates their name to this place.

No lightbulb, door had 1/2 gap when closed, breakfast only one muffin. Very loud, no insinuation in room, tried to sleep and eventually got up after 2 hours of no sleep and we just kept driving to Las Vegas at 11pm. Took shifts sitting in can for fear of breakin.

The door frame to our room was cracked and the deadbolt would not completely shut. There was a pair of dirty socks on the floor and the refrigerator would not close.

We did not even check in. Terrible from outside and area is not good. Very disappointed at the company that puts their name on it! You should be ashamed to put your name on this and then they refused to refund our money.

The continental breakfast is a muffin or Danish. Disappointing. Our shower was broken but they did come and fix it. Cars and city noise was loud, but it is in Reno. Staff was nice. Vending machines all broken. Pillows were comfy bed was decent

Do not waste your time or money. Place is falling apart and looks like s**t. Had crackheads hanging out everywhere and felt so unsafe. Staff was pretty much useless

Nice room. Parking was not the best. Only ice machine was in the office. Staff was amazing. Location is ideal.

Upon arrival, greeting staff was very timid almost afraid to say anything with eyes down. I asked if things were ok and they just kept heads down and nodded, ok no problem, went to my room had to come back to office because my key didn’t work that’s fine but then in my room the lock and panel weren’t working but the door latch was there so I used that. The two beds inside were ok but the one closest to the window wasn’t choice because The curtain wasn’t wide enough to block the yellow light outside from coming in and the ac vents were also blocked by the bed so the second bed was very warm. Lastly I went in to pay with company card the staff said you’re all set, I was told different when I came in I could pay with different card but that wasn’t the case. A “welp sorry” ended the conversation and I was out. Last min travel arrangements are tough and you get what you get and I understand that, I will use this as an example for my future endeavors.

The hotel looks like a work in progress and the building is split with Travelodge and that is where you register. Conveniently placed at freeway exit, right where the strip starts. Buig parking lot. Rooms are roomy, really clean, bright and really nice. But they are noisy. When someone takes a shower in a nearby room, it feels like it is in your shower. When a door is slammed somewhere, the building shakes. Also, it seems like this side of Virginia st is the start line of a drag race track and all night cars and bikes were randomly revving and speeding away loudly. Breakfast is as usual: a coffee machine next to a juice machine next to a basket of energy bars and other Danish. But price was right!

Nasty smells, terrible property, cockroaches in the room.
The staff was nice as could be but when i pulled up, I was in shock by how nasty and ran down the place was. Paint coming off the building and just gross. The Howard Johnson side of the building is pretty much boarded up and you have to go to the Travelodge side. The check in area has an awful smell and immediately made me wonder what the rooms were like. The guy at the counter could tell i was displeased but he was very nice. We ended up getting our room as he said id be charged the full amount if i didn't stay. Went to the room long enough to endure the awful smell of the room, check for bed bugs, which i couldnt really due to a cover they put on all the mattresses... Also, the white bedding was all stained with god knows what... but we left our things and then went exploring town. When my children and i got back to go to bed, we found 2 cockroaches. One was under their suite case and the other on the counter at the microwave. It was absolutely disgusting. The front desk guy was very nice. He told me they were booked and could give me a full refund once the manager got in in the morning but didnt have any other options. Luckily, i was able to book another hotel at 11pm at night so we could get somewhere to sleep. Terrible experience for my self and my poor children.

The place was filthy. The room was clean except sink was dirty and there were cans of beer unopened left on counter.

The staff is fantastic. The room was clean had no problems with the service, but the area being on the strip was noisy all night long and it kept me awake.

Shady part of town. Building did look well kept on the outside. Once I got in my room it was clean and quiet. Wasn’t expecting that. Wouldn’t hang out in the parking lot at night but felt safe in the room. Price was right. Better than Motel 6.

No breakfast, staff unfriendly, very poor area, alot of drifters, very noisey throughout the night.
This may have been a Howard Johnson. Wyndham, get rid of this holding. This property should no be in your portfolio. It will. By itself is massive blemish on Wyndham.

We were in a bind and needed a place to stay but after seeing a handful of cochroaches in the bathroom, we decided to not stay. The front desk staff were capable and nice.
