My room was in a good position overlooking the pool and i liked the little courtyard. The swimup bar was good Very close to the beach ill be back

The room smelt very musty & damp and there was black mold on the bed head & around the bathroom sink

Very disappointed that we booked a superior room with twin beds & we were put in an apartment with a very small bedroom with a double bed & no daily room clean . Also couldn’t fit our car in the car park

Great position and surroundings

Overall it was really lovely , just a bit noisey at night! Someone was having a party ! The staff were super friendly and efficient ! 4.5 star rating 👌

Great beach access and such a great town to explore

Staff were rude and unhelpful, the ladies at breakfast spent all their time in the back kitchen talking (we as the guests could hear them) and not helping the customers.

We loved our stay at Mantra PortSea. Our room was bright, clean and spacious, we chose a studio apartment with a balcony which opened direct to the pool area which was great. The Resort is close to Macrossan Street and the beach and we were able to walk everywhere. The pool area is beautiful, the only negative is the pool isn’t heated and it was a bit cool to swim during our stay. We booked 3 day trips via the hotel QR code which was really easy to use. Thank you Mantra PortSea for a fabulous holiday.

The staff especially the manager was very informative with what was available at resort & area, easy booking of excursions & the atmosphere was great. Informing us about the shuttle buses that port Douglas have available were a life savour. Nothing was too hard thank you

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Portsea mantra. Nice room, friendly staff, lovely setting. Easy walk into town along the beach or footpath. Pool was a tad cool at this time of year, but didn’t stop the kids and thus us being in for an hour or two each day.

Nothing very ordinary. No lift for elderly to get luggage upstairs. Room very basic for the price. Husband not happy.

10min walk from town. Comfortable beds. Good showers. Lovely pool area. Good kitchen and bbq facilities.

Described as upscale - it’s not. No housekeeping for 6 night stay (which we did not know when we booked - no mention of this in booking info) room Is a little cramped and basic - sound proofing dreadful and because rooms Surround pool area, even though it doesn’t open til 9 we were regularly woken by children yelling and splashing policed neither by staff or parents. I don’t appreciate towel exchange - having to traipse to front desk with my dirty pool and shower towels for new ones is just plain tacky. Gym is dingy and in desperate need of maintenance. On the upside, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is a pleasant 1km walk from Main Street and 5 minute walk to beach.

We loved our stay at mantra portsea. We had 2 x 2 bedroom apartment rooms. Both had a great outdoor patio space. One was near the bbq and lap pool, the other had direct access to the lagoon style pool with swim up bar, which was enjoyed greatly. We were celebrating a 21st birthday and were treated to a complimentary bottle of bubbles. We loved our stay!! Highly recommended.

No daily house-keeping/service was disappointing given the price

Rooms weren't especially clean. Floors not swept. The bathroom, although clean, had mould growing on ceiling due to no ventilation. Ants were in bathroom and kitchen. Beds were comfortable though

The place is little dated but is well looked after. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Our only gripe about the place was the cleanliness standards for the rooms where the floors and bathrooms were not cleaned well. The floor was dusty and sticky and I happened to drop my EarPods where one went under th bed and the other under the sofa and when I went to pick them up the floor looked like it had not been cleaned for months. Cleaness aside everything else was great.

After some mixed reviews we weren’t sure what to expect and were pleasantly surprised - we had a spacious 2 bed apartment, modern bathroom, fresh continental breakfast and pool which the kids loved. Only a few hundred metres to the beach that was great for watching the sun rise. Definitely recommend for families with young children

Relaxing, low key, clean property with friendly staff. Great location with 4 mile beach at back via a pathway.

Booked for 5 people but room was not supplied with same. Was told I should have asked but booking was clear. Breakfast was ridiculously overpriced for toast & a health hazard with shared condiments. Would not recommend or return to this property. Such a disappointment.

A great apartment, clean tidy, great facilities, helpful staff.

Staffvery pleasant & helpful. Good accm however the kitchenettes need to be supplied with a tea towel. Had to use hand towel🤔 pool area can become a little noisey with piped music & yelling children, so to so relaxing.

We booked the dual key room which was awesome! Our teenagers had their own room and space and so did we!! Very clean and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Portsea Mantra, the swim up bar was wonderful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. A short stroll into town or the beach. This was great for a couple like us as well as families. Honestly was blown away by how good this place was!

Filthy room. Black mould on my bedside lamp. Disgusting slime marks on the glass bathroom door. Went to make a coffee and the sachet was ancient and so dried out I could not get it to exit the packet. The phone in the room does not work and could not call reception. No iron or board to sort my clothes for the next day. No internet or Netflix - this would be an extra charge on top of my $289 Tiny and filthy room. No restaurant or room service so had to order pizza to the front desk and go and collect it. This is absolutely not a 4 star hotel. On departure this morning the lady at the front desk asked how my stay was so I told her and that I had taken photos (she did not want to see so can’t have been interested). She said she was sorry. Not as much as me! I rarely give reviews but people get really sick from black mould and they should be warned of that and of the fact that the hotel is not providing the services claimed online.

Had a great stay. Clean, great location, really nice rooms and amenities very close. There is nice pools and a really good atmosphere. Would stay again any time.
