Just awful from start to finish. Not as advertised in any way at all. I feel sorry for the staff, one person to run reception, the bar and kitchen. Thankfully they had double booked my room and had none to offer. But what I witnessed in my 40 minutes on the property makes me fell fortunate to have not stayed there.

The property is of an age where some upgrading would definitely improve the image. Priced below other hotels it is clearly popular. I found the staff indifferent at times, friendly at others. The room was reasonably clean though I discovered an old discarded wrapper under the bed. The shower was difficult to operate, particularly for temperature. A glass or tumbler for the bathroom would have been welcome. The car park is often full with workers' vans at night, so late arrivals may have to find somewhere else to park, street parking is unavailable in the immediate area.

Lovely big comfortable room (although it could have done with net curtains as it backed onto the car park!) and can’t fault the rather overworked chap on reception who seemed to be doubling as the barman, bless him. Overall clean and comfortable, could just do with a bit of TLC around the building generally and perhaps slightly less stingy with the tea and coffee - I had just two packets of coffee for a two night stay and no teabags! Would happily use again.

Very grubby in places throughout. In the room the Shower curtain soiled, threadbare bathmat, grouting around bath/shower very grubby. On looking out of window there is a flat roof below which was covered in moss and cigarette butts. Bar/reception area looked very clean. Wouldn’t stay again

1 minute walk from football stadium, so was empty as United were at home. Great. The chap on duty took me through everything regarding my stay. When the subject of breakfast was raised, I was told it started at 8am, I start work at that time so not what I wanted to hear. However, I had checked on the website that said from 6.30. So I had paid my money. 'Ah! that could be the early bird Sandwich, available from 5am to 7am'. So I ordered this and watched him enter all this on his computer and leave a message as well. Next morning I came down at 7am and said I had a breakfast ordered for that time. The guy on duty said he knew nothing about it, he had had a call as the duty guy had phoned in sick 2 hours previously, and he had only just turned on the ovens. So what happened with my order?. There were cereals - no thanks - and a toaster. Did he offer any bread?, no. He went outside for a cigarette with another guest. I had 2 cups of coffee and left for work. The lack of communication between staff was disappointing to say the least, and needs work. Good room,so apart from the breakfast issue would possibly stay again

In life you usually get what you pay for but given the price here you would be hard pressed to find better value for money. Yes it’s a bit tired looking and several areas could do with attention the helpful staff, convenient location and parking more than make up for that.

No double glazing very loud traffic noise unable to sleep

The stay was ok just a lot of noise from the road outside . Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean too.

Overnight stopover en route to an event nearby. Perfect location very near the venue

I will always stay at the Queensgate when travelling to Peterborough. The staff are always friendly and they go out of their way to accommodate all your needs. It seems to be standard practice for them.

Shower and sink FILTHY wasnt washed at all , Bathroom door on outside dirty , net curtains dirty , 1 bath towel for 2 ppl and pillows flatter than a pancake . Bed not made correctly.

did exactly what i needed it to Was close to where i was going, clean and tidy, lets us book in early which was great . and a very reasonable price considering it was close to the main town

We had a lovely stay, we were pleasantly surprised given the price of the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and professional.A special mention to the lad behind the bar last night, he was very helpful and patient with some of the guests. He did his job with a smile on his face despite facing a long shift.

At a bargain price the hotel was very clean and of a good standard. The staff friendly and accommodating. Free parking, clean, modern spacious rooms, what more could you ask at that price. I was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be one to recommend and stay again.

The Bed had a dip in the middle so i slept like the Letter S. Got backache. The room door creaked noisily everytime someone else closed their doors. The receptionist was very helpful though.

There was noise on the room facing main road

i was in room 36 and it looked out into the next window and people where in the other room. so i had to have the curtains closed all the time.

A hotel with a labyrinth of corridors! Room was mostly clean, good shower, comfy bed but mould near the ceiling on 2 walls. Breakfast was not that good tbh, sour milk and suspiciously quick full English which looked like it was pre cooked & heated up.

I was really pleased with the rooms.

Quiet place and walking distance into town

Front of house staff on nights was friendly though the key card was not working and had to ask them to reset my card 4-5 times in one night. The batteries in the TV were remote were also dead and one of the bedside lamps wasn't working. The room was clean however and the bed was comfortable. The room could have used some extra hoovering as there was quite alot of dust on the window side of the bed.
