I booked our stay months ago but never got a notification that the hotel would be undergoing renovations. I was put on the 4th floor, where the hall carpets were mostly ripped up, there were bare lightbulbs hanging put of the sheetrock and there was a terrible odor. I asked to be relocated to another floor, but they said they didn't have another room available. We didn't have time to look for another hotel so we decided to stick it out. The outlets in the room also seemed to be on the fritz. They comped our breakfast, but that was it. I really think that all guests booked during the renovation should have been notified in advance so we could make our own choices on whether to look for other accomodations.

My only suggestion would be if the front desk could answer the phone more efficiently. Maybe if their iPhone was connected to the front desk phone. This way, if they step away from the desk, they could still service incoming calls from at least the rooms. The other issue is the room cost went up about $50 per night and I booked way in advance. I was there a month ago and it was less. Starting to get a little steep and not feeling my loyalty paying off as much. Thank you. Barry

Why no free breakfast like the other one?

The hotel is showing its age. It definitely is in need of updating. I wouldn't stay there again.

Unfortunately, the room we were put in was across from the electrical closet and near the elevator. We didn’t notice how noisy it was until we turned the TV off and went to sleep. A loud buzzing noise went off every 10 minutes. By that time it was 12am and too tired to change our room. We addressed the issue in the am and they said well because you booked through Expedia we can’t do anything about it and of course you should have requested a new room. I said why were we even put in that one?! Her answer -we are fully booked. The real reason is BECAUSE we booked 3rd party they stick us there. Our fault for not knowing that would be an issue. So probably will never book 3rd party going forward. Thumbs down

The hotel was nice, easy check-in, and the room was decent. My only issue was that the bathroom smelled like mildew and mold, and it had clear water damage on the ceiling. You could see the brown water residue and the peeling chipped paint. I had to spray febreeze just to tolerate the smell.

The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was too expensive so we purchased items at a nearby grocery store. The area is convenient to the highway to Cape Cod.

Very good and quite place

The front desk clerk Hannah was patient & professional unraveling the wrong reservation dates from Expedia! She couldn’t change the dates to 5/23-5/25 since the reservation was made thru Expedia, which caused AN HOUR of frustrating conversations with Expedia, particularly Gerard, who was difficult to understand and seemed unable to cancel the wrong dates 5/25-5/27 and change to correct dates noted above. He kept offering to make a reservation at another location while I kept explaining being due at a family wedding event in an hour. He offered to refund my Money in 7-10 days and I could pay the Hilton Garden Inn to get my room there. It was a long, aggravating experience that was on the verge infuriating, and Hannah took the time to figure it out & get my sister & I in a room as per our reservation! While the hotel room floors & surfaces were dirty & hallway rugs filfthy, the staff were helpful & courteous. The hotel also charged an additional $10 per waffle, in addition to the $11.95 per person for the breakfast buffet. Again, the young man staffing the buffet was courteous & attentive, but in No Way was the hot buffet & waffles worth $50!!! In retrospect I’d really like a full refund for the overall disappointing experience. I won’t stay at that particular Hilton Gardens Inn again; and with this as my 1st reservation with Expedia, it’s likely to be my last! I’ve booked directly with hotels for many decades, and think the 3rd party App process useless!

Nice clean room, friendly staff but small details made it less than perfect. The clock in room said the wrong time and could only be adjusted by someone who was not in when we called; the conditioner container was found to be empty during my shower and many of the outlets did not seem to work.

I loved everything about it.

We have stayed here many times but the initial check in and service were not what we had experienced in the past. Also room tv and other things did not work. It makes us sad as this was previously one of our favorite hotels.

Hotels website said that the hotel had a restaurant on site and a pool with a hot tub. The there was no hot tub or restaurant. It served only a buffet breakfast. The pool was cold. We would not stay there again.

It was right next door to a little grocery store and a Dunkin Doughnts

Had to switch rooms,due to bathroom fan not working and bed was loud upon just sitting

Maid service was outsider of our room at 7am! It was a Saturday and check-out is at 11am not 7am
