The room are spartan for the price charged. There are other properties that can offer more luxurious facilities. We got a room that was in one corner beside the pool. Though we asked for a change it was not addressed. There are other rooms with garden views which are better. Be careful to choose and insist the right room. We made a special request... We booked for 4 nights... However due to some unavoidable reasons, we could not join in on day 1. We joined on day 2 and asked for not charging for day 1 and the request was flatly denied. I thought some consideration could be given to this. Pool is neat and clean but water has a funny taste..

If you are senior 60+ traveller who enjoys spending time alone this hotel is your choice.Security guards everywhere making sure you wont bring even relatives to hotel premises.I have never been in a hotel that doesnt allow any visitors even to use washroom before going out to dinner.Felt more like a prison than a hotel.I recommend to avoid this hotel because of the no visitors rule.

Either pray to God :) or negotiate in advance to get a good room otherwise management hardly care about changing you room. They didn't changed for us even after some room got vacated at the same night (we checked-in). If you are night party freak then it room location may spoil your holiday because their are some cocks (yes, you got it right) in nearby locality (if you didn't get a room at good location), who will make you wake up at 5 AM (literally). Was a little disappointed with Baga after travelling from the south of Goa but this hotel was extremely pleasant, grounds and upkeep impressive and location was good, all in all no complaints and would return should we return to Baga.

Comfortable stay at this very well located hotel bang on baga beach. Hotel layout is very nice with 2 storied cottages spread out in a spacious manner. Staff is courteous and helpful. Food has scope to improve but is not a deal breaker

Had a lovely 3 weeks in a suite overlooking the pool. Staff were first class especially those in reception.

Arrived to find ourselves allocated a room which was grubby with rising damp and damaged furniture (block 15). Then got moved to a room which appeared to have an underground spring (block 16) - spent a night in the damp and musty room to finally be moved to block 12 which was nothing more than average. Hotel is overpriced and needs some serious attention - would also suggest that the Reception staff are honest and do not try to treat guests like idiots!. Was advised by the hotel manager that the description you provided on your website is not accurate and there are no sea view rooms - suggest that someone gets their act together! Avoid the New Year Gala dinner - its a rip off - go to the beach instead! Location is excellent, cleaning staff helpful and doing the best job they can. Not sure whether the numerous rude Russian guests got better treatment but then who cares?! Baga is excellent but save your money and go elsewhere to stay!

Hotel is very close to the beach, close to other eating places but still in a nice quiet lane. However there was some repair work going on close to our room which was a bit disturbing. Overal experience was good

no newspapers at your door, no adapters for chargers from different continents, poor breakfast spread...bath door didnt open completely and one had to squeeze oneself in....

Great location...great property with Villas covering 100 odd suites. The rooms are spacious with a sitting area and balcony. Food was good, though there is scope for improvement in the buffet breakfast.

I found the hotel over all to be good,neat and having a super location.Its situated very close to Baga Beach and food was also good so as service.I would like to visit again as well. However I had few concerns. The check in time was 1 PM and check out time was 11 PM (next day) but as far as I knew that it should be 12 PM-12PM or something which have complete 24 hours. Anyways the same was not informed to me through the website (Expedia.com) which I used to book the hotel. The Email for booking says that 12 PM was check in. I had to wait almost 1 and half hour in hotel to get the room even after reaching after 1(as per the check time by hotel).

It was an amazing stay . Its just beside Calangute Beach which is best for especially couples , thats because we went there on a New Year and if it was not this Hotel then it would have been difficult to come back to hotel with my wife in that crowd post the party at Titos. The best part is that Titos club is right behind this Hotel . Its the best hotel .Beach + pubs right beside hotel is what every one will ask for in Goa :-)

This is our second visit to this Hotel and we have enjoyed immensely. The location is simply perfect. The layout of the hotel and services are pretty good. Its right on Bagha beach and minutes away from Calangute. Lots of nice restaurants and shops nearby.

I saw the website of this hotel online and booked it after seeing the photos and reviews online at hotels.com i reached Goa and stayed there for 5 nights and i was UTTERLY DISSATISFIED with the HOTEL STAFF.they were extremely rude.I had ordered vegetarian food and it was horrible and i complained and the staff said it is like this sir we cant help it,I told them to cancel my next order which i had placed already and he rudely said that it cant be cancelled.i got furious and left and EVEN PAID for the food which i didnt eat ! i was extremely shaken with this kind of hospitality and never expected this kind of hospitality from a place like GOA which depends SOLELY on tourists !! i will not visit the hotel again for sure, LA CALYPSO is MUCH better as i visited that hotel because my frnd was staying there.

I am actually glad I picked up Colonia Santa Maria as my choice hotel to stay. the property is one of the best locations on baga beach....neat and clean, surprisingly their food is also excellent....though for improvement they could put LCD TVs instead of those 14" monitors,...and should also provide beach towels. Overall great value for money....dont forget to visit TITOs...and Baga Club next to the hotel.

Room and service were good. A nice place right next to the beach. We were surprised when they would not allow us to add services like internet and laundry to our room bill, but instead insisted that we pay up-front in cash.
