At one end of Aguilas Playa, we were delighted with every aspect of this hotel during a 4 day October break. Immaculately clean, lovely staff, large rooms and suites. Lovely terraces overlooking and very near to the beach. Beach/beachfront walks to Aguilas itself. Aguilas was a pleasant resort with a lovely town square. The breakfast at the hotel was first class as were the other meals we had. On street parking was available but not sure what it would be like in high season. The hotel has its own underground parking if required. There is a modest sized outdoor and indoor pool and a spa on the top floor if that’s your thing. Lots to drive out to see within an hour or so. Generally highly recommended.

WE) only had Dinner,Bed and Breakfast for i night,the room was quite comfortable and the food was good, although a bit crowded at times in the restaurant with no real directions for avoiding the queues, which would have helped at the present time.(covid) The position of the hotel was on the seafront but a fair way away from anything else.

We stayed for one night here in Aguilas. Lovely view of the marina from our room. Everything very clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Buffet-style dining, plentiful choice of food for dinner and breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was fine but beds were rock hard aircon very poor we stayed in Oct and the room was like a oven. Hot buffet looked good but was Luke warm. Shame as we were going to book for December but will now book elsewhere

Pleasant relaxing hotel and the staff very attentive and thoughtful . Lovely spar although I did not use it for personal reasons . Food was good and very spanish . Plenty of choice and lots of fruit .

Friendly reception staff, very helpful. Good sized room and bathroom with good quality clean bedding and towels. Great sea view and fantastic sunrise.

A comfortable hotel, with a walk of about 15 minutes into town along the promenade. We stayed one night and the breakfast offered a very good choice of food.

It’s simply not a 4 Star hotel. The room was nice and the WiFi food but the general feel of the place is a littleTired. The gym was awful - extremely old and broken equipment and lots of old unsafe weights. It’s all needs clearing out - compared to the next hotel I stayed at (also 4 Star) they were worlds apart. The pool opens and shuts at strange times too. The location is excellent however and the beach clean and nearby. Breakfast was nice enough but the egg and omelette station was unmanned. Parking was easy enough in the side streets. The spa costs £25 so I didn’t bother - the hotel I went to after had a fantastic spa priced at €9. I think this place has a lot to do in comparison to its competition.

Very good until we had to leave and discovered the lifts were not working,Long way down!

This is a great hotel to stay in Aguilas. Ideally located on the beach and a nice walk to the town with its many bars and restaurants.

Lovely experience great service and friendly staff enjoyed excellent weekend.

Nice hotel, good facilities. Our room was upgraded to a suite free of change which was greatly appreciated

Our stay was very good , there was a wedding in the hotel in the afternoon so it was quite noisy but everyone was having fun !! Staff very friendly and helpful , food very good , I was surprised that there was no wi fi in the rooms , I tried to use skype in the wi fi area but it was very noisy and could not hear my family , maybe they could look at this for the future !!

Check-in staff spoke good English. Excellent buffet breakfast - so many pastries! On day two, nice gentleman on reception offered to look after our luggage whilst we swam. Unfortunately the indoor swimming pool didn't open until after check out time. Beds bit firm but room clean.

We checked into this hotel excited about the four star ammenities after staying in a two star hotel elsewhere; we were extremely disappointed. We had been traveling all day, and checked in around four, lunch was finished and dinner had not yet opened; however, the bar that is supposed to serve food continuously was also not serving! We finally convinced the bartender to scrape together some ham, cheese and bread (it caused a stir with the other guests). Later, we came to find out that the dining room that is supposed to start service at eight WILL NOT be open tonight AND the restaurant recommendation in town that the front desk gave us was closed! The following morning, the breakfast and lunch buffets weren't open. Perhaps we should consider ourselves lucky, because the breakfast buffet, when finally available, was uninspired, and the dinner buffet was a study in flavorless food. The terrible food situation aside, this hotel simply does not give four star service. We stayed during off season, but four stars are kept all year round. We simple can't recommend this hotel.

Hotel was excellent apart from the fact that both pools were closed for maintenance until March according to the staff.Apparently they had notified all booking agents, but Expedia failed to tell me when booking.I booked a spa hotel as I suffer from osteoarthritis and swimming alleviates some of the discomforts as does a spa.The spa facilities were excellent as were the staff.my only concern is that although it is an international hotel most of the information is in Spanish which is not very helpful and most of the staff do not speak much English. I have notified Expedia of my complaint about the pools being closed and I am still waiting for some sort of recon pence ideally a refund as I was not informed at the time of booking even though I spoke to an agent on the phone to make my booking.When I notified Expedia they tried to put the blame on the hotel and pass the buck ,but it was Expedia that I booked with and not the hotel .Expedia is to blame and should carry the can for the imposition that I had.I would recommend hiring a car as the bus only run on the hour and it is rather a long walk to get to town and a lot of businesses were not open because it was low season in Spain

A very well situated hotel with a superb Spa facility. The hotel was clean and well appointed and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was pretty good even though it was buffet style. I think that as it is mainly hosting Spanish guests there are no pseudo English dishes. We have several treatments in the Spa and these were exceptionally good.

Booked thinking this was a okay hotel. Very old, mattresses are ancient, no extra locks for door security just key lock. Room not clean, hair on bathroom walls, heater thermostat didnt work, and didnt even have a toilet paper holder. Supposedly nonsmoking room, reeked of old smoke and carpet had cigarette burns. Outside patio facing river had ashtray full of cigarette buds. Shower curtain cloth and mildewed. One ice machine never had ice from friday to sunday. Housekeepers actually left know on mirror that they work for tips. Nice try, maybe you should actually clean the room. Overall nasty.

River Lodge South was excellent for the price and location. It is just back off the main road so you are still close to everything yet away from all of the traffic noise. We had a first floor standard room. A back door opened up to a patio and a small river. Tame ducks and geese greeted us everytime we opened the back door.\nOur room was big and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Lots of towels. The staff was friendly and helpful. We parked right outside our front door. No problem calling this motel to book or while there.\n
