Best place to stay for Mayo

Everything!!!

Well it didn't start out so good. They said Hotels.com didn't send the reservation to them. I showed them the itinerary and also my paid receipt. It still took 2 of them about 30 minutes to figure it out. They was nice about it but still not a good feeling for me and my very sick other half. The room was fantastic, the breakfast was fantastic and the entire staff was great. I will just be booking straight from them from here on ot

Check in was smooth quick easy and the gentleman working the desk was very polite and helpful. A very efficient check in.

The room was very spacious and clean. They upgraded me to a handicap room at no extra charge. The continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had with a wide variety and with BACON, bacon and more bacon!! A++++

Lovely experience.

It was a great experience! The hotel was clean, and staff was so friendly. They had shuttles running to and from Mayo which was so helpful. The breakfast was amazing! They did an excellent job there. We will definitely be staying here again.

We arrived back at the hotel on Tuesday, July 16th around midnight after being in the St Mary’s ER. We were greeted by the front desk who offered to go to kitchen and get us something to eat so my husband could take his meds. I appreciated this so much.

The room seemed fine at first, but in the morning I found a cockroach crawling up the wall by the bathroom. Killed it and delivered it to the front desk, but the manager wasn’t around to speak to. Who knows if the guy working ever relayed my message to him. This stay was in April, and I am again looking to book a hotel in the area but will be choosing someplace else this time.

There was a huge mixup with our reserved room. We arrived at 1:30am and the room was not cleaned from the previous guests. Then 2 additional rooms were also unusable before we finally got one. The front desk staff seemed to have little organization and poor record keeping. How do you not know which rooms are cleaned and which are under construction? The floors were squeaky, so I’m glad we were on the top floor. There was a high pitched noise from our mini fridge the whole stay. But the rooms were clean and in good condition and the buffet was good as was the coffee. Can some hotel chain please give guests cups that hold more than 8oz?

We have stayed at this property a couple times to visit the Mayo Clinic. Staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle to the area hospitals that we utilized and it was extremely convenient!

Poor customer service. I had come to the hotel to accommodate some major GI testing I had to do at Mayo Clinic. The man working the front desk didn’t believe that my fridge broke, eventually replaced it, and refused to comp any of the bill even though well over $30 of my special diet’s food went bad in the fridge. I would’ve been better leaving it in the cooler I brought! Food is so important after two days of fasting, and because of this hotel’s receptionist’s poor records of exactly when I asked for a second look at my fridge, I was forced to order delivery I couldn’t afford (would have driven but had sedation that day; not allowed). They said they had no record of me asking them on Sunday, only Monday (after the food went bad) so therefore it was my own fault the fridge didn’t work, apparently. A grueling day of testing and procedures and this hotel provided the bare minimum in service and a low quality ‘welcome home’ to a broken fridge with no food left to eat in it. Still very comfortable; just very unhappy with the some of the front desk staff.
