The property is cute but now is under construction schedule the room we got was one of the nicest one but needed more cleaning other then that the place is nice (small property which is ok)

Simple, close and reasonable price

Great hotel for the money. Remodeled and clean. Nice pool and hot tub. Room was not ready at check in time.

They had all their old beds and furniture trash in their parking lot and its already too small of a parking area for the hotel. The building is under construction. Our AC unit in the room would not work at all and they had no on site maintenance people to repair it. The hotel was over reserved so there was no option to change rooms and it was a holiday weekend so there were no other hotels available. They still charged us full price and were extremely rude regarding repairing the AC so that we could be somewhat comfortable. They did absolutely nothing to make the situation right.

Decent room that was clean. But it was not well insulated for noise or light. Cracks at bottom of door allowed lots of parking lot noise. And the open top of the drapes allowed quite a bit of light in during the morning. The pool area was quite shabby. And a whole block of rooms were boarded up for some reason. We won't return.

Conveniently located, affordable and friendly staff. Room smelled like it was a former smoker room.

This property redecorated and I do not like the furniture which is oversized for the room. And the walls have 70s mirrored wall tiles and the ugliest cabbage rose wallpaper. Not pleasant. I used to stay here often. Now looking for other alternatives.

Property location is walking distance from downtown. Overall property is good for the price. Only negative is that shower/tub had no curtain so we ended up with wet bathroom floors after we showered. Oh and there was a family staying down a few doors from us that allowed their children to run up and down the corridor screaming until after 10 p.m.

I love the hotel. The breakfast is great. Unfortunately in our recent stay there was no enough scrambled eggs. We loved the waffles and sausages thou. Something important is about the personnel at the front desk. They dont seem very happy people. Either they are not happy, or they are not happy to see hispanic people like me and my family in the hotel. Several times I had to repeat my question. I have an qccent, but I spoke clear, with my accent. I am not sure if they didnt understand me, or they didnt want to put much effort in understanding me. Everything else I enjoyed. The building is comfortable, the pool is clean, the housekeepers are nice people, the breakfast is delicious, and many more positive things.

Not told was under construction. Rooms bed was a very hard firm king mattress. Drove out the back exit and there was a pile of old mattresses and toilets. All the furniture in the room was a mixed match of left overs ready for the dump. Must be why I had to kill so many roaches. Even after the remodel…it’s a no go.

The trip as a whole was a learning experience and by the time my partner and I actually made it to the hotel it was almost 4 a.m. the morning after our initial checl in date; so we had already lost a day and were mentally/physically exhausted from travel etc.... The staff at The Sands were incredible. From the wondeful associate who checked us into our room to the last associate I encountered at checkout. The rooms are large and spacious and can easily provide a comforting retreat for families or couples looking to get away; as we did. The pricing was incredibly reasonable and I was so incredibly thankful for the option to prepay; which I highly recommended - if You and Yours can "leave everything as You found it" (if You break it You buy it) then the peace of mind at both check-in and check-out are 100% worth it. Just always be prepared to have $150-250 ready to use for the room's deposit (and that's any hotel, anywhere You go ... deposit at checkin is guaranteed) and You are golden. Just enjoy Your stay. The way the staff, especially Henrig and Emma, took genuine care and concern for my partner and I, throughout our stay, was commendable and should be praised by Upper Management. They truly did wonders and made me feel like the most important person to them when I needed it most; and they did it all with incredible grace and compassion. Thank You Sands !!!

I like that it had a stove and microwave.

Thermostat was pulled off the wall, so could not adjust temperature in the room. Also, there was no TV remote in the room, and not enough outlets.

Great place too stay

Staff are good friendly and respectful. However, the room i am in was confortalbe and clean, but Couple lights not working. specially, non of smoke detector working. I had been told i will get some discount on the room fees, but i have not recived any responds.

Everything was great. Hotel was clean and staff was welcoming.

Nice family suite for an affordable price with nice pool & jacuzzi. The breakfast that is included was very good with some good options and kid friendly.

Definitely a cheap motel though there were worse around us. Our first room was kinda dirty, sheets soaked in bleach, dirty sink etc. Nowhere to plug in your devices. Then the air conditioning broke and they moved us to a much better room. You could see the bathrooms were renovated. But not much else. Breakfast was gross and the dining room icky but I guess no worse than a motel. Staff were lovely but clearly overworked. Would not stay there again unless I had no choice.

The staff was very friendly. Beds were ok. However they were remodeling so there were used toilets and walls strewn about outside the rooms.

The room was clean, but the air conditioners didn’t work even on fan, which would have helped the air circulate. Staff were not very friendly, but luckily we didn’t need them for anything.

1- the parking was full and unorganized. Your website advertises "free parking" not "complementary parking". We stayed two nights and noticed the same people sleeping in the cars. The night staff on Thursday night was no where to be found when we checked in. It took them 5 minutes to show up. On our first night, we noticed people working on the cars in the back lot. The hotel room towels were dirty. The lady working the breakfast station Friday morning was rude, unprofessional and unorganized. You should invest in security to ensure your guests vehicles are the ones parked on your property and not suggested to park on the street. The front desk night manager on Friday night was zero help. I rate this experience at 1 star out of 5 and will not be recommending this location to anyone.

It was horrible and we left after checking in. A/c not really working, refrigerator not working, dirty room, screen missing from bathroom window - view was of old mattresses and trash. Pictures on hotels.com site not the hotel at all. Got money back for second night but still awaiting money from first (did not stay and had to find another place)

Older property Currently being renovated. At this price good location and good value. Plenty of room and parking. Nice pool, good breakfast.

This hotel was a huge disappointment! We stayed in their suit, which was a good size in general, but the bathroom was tiny. Both our TVs did not work at all, there were no any trash cans in a room, only 2 towels for 4 peoples, furniture was old and dirty, pillows were a joke- small square bags with old fillings. There was a great big patio with only one dirty plastic chair. The renovation in a bathroom looks good in a picture, but in reality the quality of work is bed and cheap and not thought through. Breakfast is another story - trash was everywhere, because there is not enough trash cans and no staff seen around to take care of it. One day we came for breakfast, and saw a lot of people , but no food! It was just disgusting! I never stayed in places like that, especially paying close to $300 a night!

This place is great if your trying to avoid the police or shoot a low budget porno. One ice machine, the p. lot was small and uneven, the bed linen smelled and the front desk never answered their phone. Way over priced for what you get.
