Excellent! 10/10. We took a family trip: myself, partner, 2 year old daughter and our dog. The hotel was perfect for us and the staff very friendly! It was a relaxing, effortless stay. The only issue we encounters was not being able to dine at the restaurant both nights due to them being fully booked. It would have been great when checking in to be prompted to book in advance. Fortunately, it was possible to head into town and have dinner without incident.

Great hotel on Lake Titisee that has an older German charm to it. The rooms were clean and had great views of he lakes. The entire staff from check-in, dining, and check out were extremely friendly. They've got a good wine selection and the restaurant's four course meals are reasonably priced. We booked this location to cross country ski and the area didn't disappoint. They have booklets/pamphlets in the lobby with info on cross country skiing trails in the area. One of which is only a few minutes drive from the hotel. You can also download the Hochschwarz wald app to get trail info on your phone. I recommend this hotel if you're looking for a nice place to stay with a very good restaurant on the premise and outdoor activities nearby.

Very nice hotel close to the lake. We take the room in the annex not far away from the main building. Very good dinner very good big room.

got food poisoning on the second day after an evening meal.Flies and wasps on lots of the food at breakfast. spent the 3 days in the room. Doctor called, came but not sure he was a real doctor as did not know how to use blood pressure and oxygen monitors!! kept trying to say it was a circulation problem not food related. Since we both were suffering this was very strange.2 friendly staff and a very unfriendly manager...would not recommend staying here Room was fairly clean but balcony was filthy dirty with bird droppings all over the place

The setting of the hotel on the shores of Lake Titisee is wonderful. The view from our corner room looking across the lake to the hills of the Black Forest was great! The food both at breakfast and dinner was excellent. Although the weather was mostly overcast and rainy, we were able to walk into town and enjoy the shops. A fantastic 2 day weekend stay!

While traveling in Germany, we stayed many places. I wish we could have stayed longer here. Set in a beautiful setting, overlooking the lake, WOW is all I can say. We were thrilled with the service and the continental breakfast was 5 stars! When we go back to Germany, we will stay here again!!

A beautiful location and a well-kept hotel add up to a great experience. We stayed in one of the apartments up the hill from the main hotel -- a little hard to find in the dark but very comfortable and clean. Breakfast on the sunny porch overlooking the lake was so memorable -- my kids are still talking about it.

When we arrived we were warmly greeted. We were provided information of all their services and they were kind enough to reserve a table for us for dinner without asking.The hotel is beautiful! We booked an apartment, so we were off property. Our apartment was fantastic. It had all the amenities of an apartment and was very homie.The food was delicious and our breakfast was included.The service at this hotel is stellar and that is why it is considered a 4 star hotel in which I strongly agree with!You won't be disappointed if you go. The area of the B;ack Forest is beautiful and your not to far from the village of Titisee and not to far from Triberg where its famous for the cuckhoo Clocks!

This was a great hotel, right on Lake Titisee. The breakfast buffet was huge, with lots of choices, from eggs, bacon, sausage to cereals, yogurt and breads, luncheon meats and cheeses. There is a small, indoor pool and a large sauna. We were in one of the villas, up the street, which was huge and very nice, but there is no wireless up there and it's not so convenient to the restaurant and pool in the main hotel as you have to drive. But, no complaints because it had a kitchen which was good for traveling with three children. Would definitely go back. Nice, friendly staff.

Very nice room off the beaten path. About 30 min. from Freiburg. Room was in large home with studio apt's. with kitchenettes. This wasn't clear in the room description. It is located in a small neighborhood close to hotel. There is not much to the town of Titisee. The hotel lobby and restaurant are very nice and the staff very helpful. The breakfast buffet (incl. with room) is fantastic! Hotel guests can ride trains and buses in the region for free--a big plus. The only complaint is I couldn't get the TV/Satellite to work. They were supposed to fix, but didn't.

we didn't see the rooms in the main building, but we stayed in one of the apartments for 4 nights, and it was perfect! remote, overlooking the lake, with a lovely balcony, but a short 10 minute walk into town...all for a great price--and the staff was kind and incredibly accommodating. we can't recommend this place more! we will definitely be back someday...
