The shower faucet was hard to close the valve for the shower to engage and pressure was extremely low and very little hot water

Not much value for the price. AC was set at fixed temp and could not be charged making the room temp uncomfortable. The breakfast service was limited and lackluster

At first our reservation was a large room with 2 separate private rooms or u can say a room in which you have 2 separatesoors or rooms, but when we arrived they told me that they have a single room, although our expedia reservation clearly says we have a large room with 2 private doors.
Anyways, we have no choice as she said she has that kind of room but at triple the price.
We took the single room, upon entrance the room, Bedsheets were v dirty, so we had to wait.
Room service was very prompt and professional.
Breakfast was good. Elevator was making weird noises.
Overall, nice family place. V close to restaurants and convenient commute to Surfside beach.
Only disappointed and confused why expedia booked us a false room and the hotel has different upon arrival.
Front desk told me they cannot do anything although they agreed our reservation is different, and that he will take a note of it.

This was the worst experienced i've had in my life. Checked in time supposed to be at 3pm and we didn't get the room until after 4:30pm. Then when we got the room, the room was dirty, the bed still had hair which mean that the sheet was never replaced. we had to call the front desk again to come and replace it. It took them forever to come and replaced it. then, when they showed up, they told us to get out of the room because they didn't want us to see if they did replace or not. they were freaky rude! we will not stay at this hotel again!

Very upset the hot tub was broken, especially since the pool was too cold to go in. The hotel advertised having a hot tub. We were very disappointed it was broken, since we specifically booked this hotel because it had a hot tub. The bathroom floor was not level with the floor in the room, so we kept tripping going in and out of the bathroom. We didn't like the fluorescent light in the bathroom, as it was extremely bright.

Property was kind of dirty on the inside carpet and elevator, the bed was not soft nor were the pillows which made for an uncomfortable night, breakfast was ok but eggs were dry and over cooked. On the up side the front desk staff were nice.

This was nice little hotel that was very clean and comfortable. The room was comfortable and quiet, with a nice bed and a cold AC. Breakfast was filling and hot to start the day.

This was our second time staying here at the Holiday Inn Express in Clute,TX. We love coming down to Surfside Beach and staying overnight. We've found that the other hotels weren't as clean as this one. You really get what you pay for when it comes to hotels. The morning breakfast was good as well.

Some of the weight room equipment has a malfunction like the treadmill swimming pool was a little bit cloudy property maintenance I seen empty cups laying all over the place elevator floor was a little bit dirty

If somebody on a floor above you walks heavily the noise echoes very loudly in the floor below. There was no person directly above our room, yet it sounded like a herd of elephants was above our room. Noise finally ended at midnight, started again at 0500.

Everything was great overall! The only issue we had was our towel situation. We went out to the beach for a bit and came back to our room around 3pm to take showers and get ready for a wedding. We came back to our used towels gone and no replacements. We asked for towels and said none were available. So we had to shower without any towels! Not ideal.

Comfortable beds are a must where I stay. I believe the bed I slept on could have passed for concrete . Fred Flinstone could have slept on it. The shower had great water pressure which is a must. Breakfeast was ok, it would have been better if they had working toaster. Also I got to breakfeast at 8:00am and all the bacon had been eaten. Asked worker if they had more bacon coming out . She explained that all bacon for the day had been put out. I guess they ratio it .

We enjoyed our overnight stay here. The location was good and convenient to everything. Our breakfast was very good. They offered scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and fruit. We would stay here again.
