Quiet and clean . Just off the main road, accessible to restaurants and grocery. A bit dated, but great stay and sleep

The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was okay, but carpet and furniture needs to be updated.

Loved the place, even had an ocean view from afar. Staff was wonderful. Everything was excellent, you could tell they are fixing up the place. But the towels were like rags, not sure goodwill would accept them. Clean but old, thin and gray. Would definitely come back.

Our stay was short. The room was clean, the front desk check in was fine. The room was dated and in need of updating. We checked in at 9 and did not realize the windows were open. The drapes were closed. The room was noisy and we could hear outside noise all night. We didn’t realize that the windows were open. In the morning as we were packing up to leave, my cousin tripped and fell on the warped mat outside our door. A clerk was there and saw what happened. She took the mat and threw it away. Fortunately, my cousin was not badly hurt

I’m not sure How the rating is high for this hotel but it is a dump. It felt unsafe. It looked like mold under the sink. The front desk staff appeared suspicious of us—we are in our 70’s!!

Our room was not cleaned well, a pair of pants left on the floor from people befor us and our second room had a plugged toilet that someone had plungged but did not fix so room was just left with water all over the bathroom floor when we checked in. The hotel gave our friends another room right away but 2 out of 2 rooms not cleaned well is not a good sign.

The driving entrance felt unsafe as it was right off a busy road and the exit and entrance lanes were reversed. You could not see the arrows until you were already on the property. The bed had a slippery, noisy mattress cover that interfered with sleeping. The shower head was mounted just over 5 feet off the ground, which was annoying for me, and even more so for my 6'5" husband. It seemed a little pricey since there wasn't even a breakfast or pool.

Older coastal hotel that needs repair/updated. The locks were broken on the windows, so unable to secure room. Sign put out for maid service at 7am and returned to room late evening with room exactly as we left it. I didn't mind beds not being made, but at least trash could have been emptied, amenities (coffee & cups) refilled, and clean towels would have been nice.

This is a good motel for an overnight stay. But I wouldn’t stay long term. The service was good and the staff was nice and friendly. There is a view of the ocean from the parking lot Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. I would stay again if passing through

This motel rates amongst one of the worst places I've ever stayed. The motel itself is very under maintained the wallpaper in our room with peeling the beds were stained one even had what looked like a fresh blood smear on the mattress. Couple that with the unsavory characters roaming around in the parking lot all hours of the night the loud party taking place above us the people streaming and chasing a cat at 12:30 1:00 in the morning all in all one of the most horrible places I've ever stayed and I would advise anybody to stay away from this place

Older hotel but very clean

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and it was just as expected; clean, quiet, comfortable and the price was great!

The hotel appears to be clean from the outside, the room we had was dated, the carpet was filthy and the towels were so old and dingy (guess they don't use bleach). There are no amenities here, the walls are paper thin, we could hear the people in the room beside us and under us talking. The staff was pleasant enough, and the mattress was comfortable, but we won't stay here on our next trip to Brookings.

Property is very dated, but front desk person was extremely kind and helpful.

It was okay. Very quite which we liked We did not like the leftover pizza in the fridge and the used coffee pad in the machine. I did not want to use the towels as they were grey instead of white that they clearly used to be. Luckily I had my own towel with me. It is a motel and the door did not have a bolt (like the other 6 hotels/motels we stayed)

The Americoast Inn was reasonably priced and very pleasant. It was just what we needed. We were there for a two night stay. The managers also do the cleaning. They put fresh towels in our room without us even requesting them. That was a very much appreciated service.

This is an old, outdated hotel. It is clean and has a decent location. However, if you get a lower level room, just hope that they don't put anyone in the room above yours. It sounds like a herd of elephants walking every time they move around!

Worn out towels. Needed maintenance in bathroom. Flooring worn out in bathroom area. Should have been $50 tops.

This motel has available in the room one of the best welcome-binders I've ever viewed! All rooms have coffee maker, mini-frig, microwave, hair dryer, iron & board; very well appropriated. View of the sea (room 210) was distant but beautiful.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is within minutes of Harris Beach and downtown shopping, so it was a super convenient location. The beds and pillows were very comfortable (I'm really picky so that was important to me). The room was clean. The only two reasons I'm not giving 5 stars: 1) no extra security lock on the door (like a chain or other; I was traveling with my 14 yr old daughter and a friend so I would have preferred this, although I didn't feel unsafe or anything, just wanted the extra security), and 2) the bottom floor was very noisy with families letting their unruly children run around and stomp until about 11:30pm at night above us. Some enforcement of quite hours would have been preferred. Despite those two minor issues, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great check in, nice place. Walls thin and shower not too strong, but overall, we had zero issues. Beds very cozy!!!

The woman who was running the place was somewhat rude. She felt the need to lecture us about not smoking in the rooms and bringing in pets. She did this repeatedly. When She was told that we do not smoke and do not have a pet, she became defensive. It was like she thought she was doing us a favor by allowing us to stay at the hotel, even though we paid to stay there. Ironically, they even dared to leave a tip envelope on the dresser. We spent under 8 hours in the room and did nothing but sleep. We didn't even bring a scrap of garbage for the waste can, yet we left feeling like we had been bad customers. I think their staff needs to remember that if they want customers they should be grateful people choose their establishment and that it's the customers keeping their business alive. I do not recommend this business.

A nice, clean, reasonably-priced place with nice, helpful staff. Traffic noise wasn't noticeable to me

The room was older but perfect! Super cozy and we got updated to a king! The front desk was so sweet and gave us great recommendations for breakfast! The views from the property are also really pretty.

Modest but well kept accomidations in brookings, near the ocean but not overlooking and walkable access to beach that I saw.
