This is a return visit, its comfortable and within walking distance of everything. Recommend.

The property is in a great location, the staff are wonderful, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The only issue i had was noise from the corridor. Overall i would stay again and recommend it!

They need to try harder: breakfast was sub par. Shower leaked. 3 stories without lift. Too far to town. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Sorry.

Definitely five star experience. Good breakfast. Excellent service. The staff doesn’t speak English fluently but that did not cause any major hindrance at all. My flight was later in the day and they let me stay a few hours in the lobby. They also helped me get a cab. One warning for everyone - the hotel does have too many stairs to get to the room. So, if you have heavy luggage, you have been informed!!!

Everything was amazing of this place, the attention, the breakfast, the location and the cleanliness. We arrive early so they prepared us tea and coffee while we wait and gave us excellent advise on where to go and how to spent our time. We love every minute we spent at Valle Frio and if we return to Ushuaia we will stay here.

We were at hotel at 9am. Not only we have got the room but we were given coffee and tea since the breakfast was still open. I do not see it too often :)

I had a room overlooking a pretty garden with snowy mountains in the distance. I stayed 5 nights. It was a very easy walk into town , 5 -10 mins from shops and restaurants. Bar prices in the hotel itself were very reasonable. The breakfast was good (not cooked but that suits me). Every day I was given a different slice of home made cake. Good for after trekking! Best was the library of fascinating books about local history and culture and a comfortable sitting room for watching TV, playing chess and reading. Felt more like a home. Also, lovely to have a bath not just a shower, so good to have a soak in a hot bath after some of the long treks in the bitter cold. The three brothers were attentive but not intrusive. I would return.

Th Hosteria is convenient to the downtown of Ushuaia. I like that is is mainly wood construction and feels warm and cozy. It is run by three brothers and they do their best to be helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very good and also, a lovely set table. The only complaint I have is unstable internet connection, but they may be a problem all over the town. A suggestion is to double check your communications with the administration once you are there to make sure of your tour plans, etc. The hotel is good about email communications.

Well maintained property, excellent service. Lots of steps, but help when needed. Very comfortable B and B.

Although the 3 brothers who run this were pleasant, the ambiance in the hotel needs more "welcoming feel". Our room felt as if it were in a basement with the bathroom on another level. We wouldn't recommend it. It needed a little more effort with helpfulness.

The water power for the shower a bit low. The free breakfast was minimal but tasted fine. The brother offered to drop us off to the airport. Would recommend this place.

Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Very walkable if you don't mind a hill. It is also easy to catch a cab close by or the staff were able to call a cab for you. The staff gave us a map and showed us where to go in town. Very warm and cozy. It felt like a home not a hotel. Nice living area for sitting and playing cards if weather is bad. I really loved this town. I would stay here again.

Arrived here after a week in Buenos Aires to see some penguins. Hotel provided free transportation from the airport to hotel. It is less than 10 walking minutes away from the main street downhill. Hotel has a few stairs and each couple of rooms seem to be on a different floor. They are adding more rooms to the hotel at higher floors which will have most likely great views of the city and the bay. Room was warm, clean and shower was warm too. Everyone spoke English and was very helpful. Breakfast served daily downstairs and has juices, yogurt, medialunas, ham and cheese and you feel like you are at your grandmas house. Grocery store is 2 blocks away so if anything is needed, you can buy it cheap. Neighborhood is very quiet and has a few nice houses. 10 minutes walking distance to the center of the main street, the port, and all the good restaurants. On the way back, we tried matte and had fruits in the hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will for sure come back and try to stay there again specially around ski season.

We stayed at Vale Frio for 2 nights - in bed, being ill! Our first day was a Sunday and I could not find any paracetamol, as the pharmacies and most shops were closed. But one of the staff went to one of the supermarkets a bit further away and found us some. Very nice and helpful people. Spacious room, lovely big, but cosy guest lounge, with interesting books - probably one of the most inviting lounges I have come across in any hotel - usually they are either too sterile or too dingy. A bit out from the main drag, but still within easy reach.

Very nice hotel in bed and breakfast style. Room was nice and staff were very friendly and did speak English which made things easier. Excellent breakfast included and free shuttle from airport which was great. Would definitely recommend.

Small hotel, three rooms in a lovely house. People were fabulous, very kind and helpful. The owner insisted on taking me to the airport and refused payment. House lovely, about three blocks from Main Street, would definitely stay again

Arrived after an uncomfortable journey from Chile/Cruise Andino, bad weather, no views and tiring, but the owner picked us up himself at night (after a phone call when arriving in Argentina). Turned out that the owners made the stay very nice, hospitable, helpful, and the hotel is located in a pastoral paradise type setting on the lake. Hotel has basic amenities, breakfast wasn't to standards I am used to but when asked, the owner made us a mini-egg omelette (Not on menu that day). It is a little far from the "city" Bariloche (around 20KM) but if you don't mind a walk of 10 minutes-local buses available... Enjoyed the place.

The hotel is located four blocks from the main street in Ushuaia. The blocks are uphill and the rooms are up a flight a stairs. Not a problem if do not have a problem with walking and steps. The breakfast was quite nice and it was great to talk with the manager. The room was generally nice, but could have used more shelving or cabinet space for us to unpack our things.

we stayed in january 2012. the hotel is located in a quite side street, 7 blocks from the port docks. much like seattle washington, the streets go up hill from the water. it was about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. very friendly staff and it is a quite hotel and location. very personable. we were able to check in early which was helpful. the bed was fairly comfortable and the bathroom was good size, although not terribly bright. a very good value and location, would stay again.

I would hight recommend this hotel becasue it is run by a family and special care and cnsideration is made by all who work there. The rooms were cleans and cmfortable. The breakfast ws just fine and tasty.
