Great stay. Friendly staff

We were at the hotel when microsoft had the outage. The staff did a really good job making the best of it and were very professional. The mattress however was the worst mattress I have ever slept on in any hotel. We had a king bed and my husband and I could barely clumb our way out from the hole in the middle. We both woke up stiff and sore and could only sleep for small periods of time. I told the front desk and the only comment that was made by the staff was, "I told them they need to flip the mattesses." I stated that nothing is going to help that mattress and it needs to be replaced. This was not a cheap hotel and I feel we should get compensated for this. When traveling, a good night sleep is what we are paying for.

Very nice hotel, so clean and comfortable. The fitness center was amazingly clean and big. Also great location if you want to be near ISU. I will definitely return!

Found an earwig bug and hair on the shower wall. Lots it rust but room was comped.

Beds uncomfortable and legs on some beds broken. Charged more for parking than posted rates. Great location. Lots of options for food and drink within easy walking distance.

The legs on the bed can fall if you move the bed?

The bed in room 319 had terrible support and needs to be replaced

No free breakfast, no roll in shower, no free wifi, no hot tub. The Marriot is not a 4 star hotel. It is a 3 star at best. Either lower the price per day price or offer more perks. I could have paid the exact price for a hotel with more perks.

Great stay, close restaurants and area is very walkable.

Wish there was a place to plug in just a usb for an iPhone. We travel a lot and this is the first hotel in awhile with out a place to just plug in a usb cord

Centrally located with a ton of onsite dining and other amenities. Look was nice, but no hot tub. It was prom and graduation weekend, and still our room was quiet!

Love the uptown Normal area

Way overpriced, over $300/night, room was disgustingly dirty. Switched to this hotel because it was a MARRIOT and close to where we were going for ISU graduation, what a dumb move. Stuff splattered on the walls and lamp shades.

Property was worth the price

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. It’s literally right next to the ISU campus. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. The room itself was clean, but I could not reach anybody on the phone. according to the buttons on the phone you should’ve been able to reach dining, front desk, etc.. The mattress felt firm and cheap, so it was hard to get a good nights sleep. I am the cook at home, so I was really looking forward to a made-to-order breakfast in the morning. When I asked the night before for a menu, there wasn’t one. When I came down in the morning, the easel at the entrance of the restaurant says cooked-to-order breakfast. When I entered, I was greeted and seated and given coffee. When I asked about menus, the hostess said that the buffet was open. Buffet? I hate buffets. They’re gross. I asked about the breakfast, and she looked totally confused. She did say that you can have omelettes made to order so I asked for an omelette menu. She went in the back and pulled a laminated sign off wall , and brought it to me. The omelette was OK, but it didn’t have everything I asked for on it, which is not surprising, because she didn’t write anything down. I would not stay again.

Beautiful hotel, kids love the pool!

We were not registered correctly. Got a very loud banging on door early Saturday morning. Sounded like a police raid. Basically accused of "squatting." We thought perhaps a family member had died. Then story changed to it was a "safety check." My daughter and I were shaking, very frightened by aggressive staff! Later found we were not registered by desk clerk correctly, although clerk at registration desk gave us room cards. Traumatic experience for us. Daughter is a 55 year old teacher, I am a 77 year old retired teacher. Not big threat!

We used this hotel for our state championships and our team had a blast!

The buffet was really good, staff was friendly. The rooms were dirty, things were stained. The beds were very small!
