I understand hotels need to be pet friendly but they should at least keep some rooms pet free. We walked into our room and were hit in the face with the horrible smell of dirt/wet dog. The room wasn't as clean at I like but ok regardless. I would not stay there again.

Unfortunately the photos looked better than the product. We checked in and went to our room, there were lights hanging out of their socket, sliding door that didn’t lock properly, every person walking past looking in, bed was very uncomfortable and sunk in the middle. We felt incredibly unsafe and decided to leave.

I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. Filthy, dingy, dirty, old. I wouldn’t take my shoes off bc of how nasty it was. The bed was Loud and thin! So uncomfortable. Slider wouldn’t stay shut unless barricaded. Bugs and spider webs in all corners . It was so bad we checked out after 1 night, and if we could we would have not stayed a single night .

The only reason this property was even nice was because of location. The lake was beautiful, although the beach area could use an upgrade. I booked the hotel through Expedia, which said I would have to make a deposit up front and pay for the rest at the property. Upon checking in, we were charged the full price and told rudely and dismissively by the hotel employee that they don’t know anything about it and nothing they could do. On our way to the hotel, I received a phone cal asking when we would be checking in. Once I answered, I was hung up on. Then sent several texts to “check in online”, which I completed. When we got to the front desk to get our keys, I had to fill out the same information I already did online. The room was very outdated. There were stains on the couches, cobwebs in the corners, and the trash had not been emptied from the people before us. We had paid extra for a room with a balcony, but the sliding door would not open! Breakfast consisted of bread, coffee, & hard boiled eggs. Overall would not recommend

Met my needs: hot water, comfortable bed, clean, great lakeside location.

Nice setting on the lake. Ok for a low budget one night stay. Outdated rooms that need upgrading. Shower was broken and some lights didn't work. Clientele was not the most impressive. Druggie next to us on the balcony who was puffing on a blunt the size of a cigar and using speaker phone on high volume. Spend the extra $30 a night and avoid the low IQ folks.

Curtains wouldn’t move.. door lock was broken. Toilet seat kept coming off Rest was ok, not fabulous. They did have fruit and yogurt for breakfast

Room was a beautiful lake view with balcony ..i would love to stay there again . .

The room had toilet and shower from the 70s. It wasn’t very upgraded. The bed was lumpy and squeaky. It would be a good idea to replace the beds. The balcony has zero security such as a bar or suitable lock on the screen door. The shower head is low and terrible spray. The curtain was cheap. The entire room needs furniture upgrades. The tv, fridge and space was nice just need upgrades. The sign was also easy to miss from the road. The lighting in the parking lot was dark and not suitable for late arrival.

We had a great stay. If there is anything to improve it would say need more shower pressure and a better variety options for breakfast!

The room was very dated. It was the worst mattress I have ever tried to sleep on. There were no washcloths in the room,had to go to the front desk to ask for some. Floor was uneven and spongy. Walls had dead bugs on them. There were extension cords on the floor for the lamps and clock. This was the worst room I have ever been in.

Property is tired and run down

Based on the reviews, i was expecting a worn out budget hotel with a great view and thats what I got. Property is reeeeeealy due for an update!!!! That said the room was quite clean and everything worked. Cudos to the staff on that. Biggest problem was one of the beds (frame) nearly collapsed when I sat on it the fist time, bumped my head on the wall. Pointed out to staff on checkout comments, so hopefully theyll fix it. If not be careful if they give you room 18.

The room was clean but the first impression was not good. Unkempt appearance of the outside, landscaping, etc. Staff were helpful. The price was too high for what we got.

Breakfast time is at 9... too early. Arrived approx 5 minutes past 9 AM and was turned away even if the items were still out in the counters. Staff were rude and unprofessional.

Staff was rude and unprofessional. Rooms are not cleaned every day. Guests are told it is their fault the room wasn't cleaned because guests need to request this- this is poor costomer service especially for the hospitality industry. Faucets are barely functional. The rooms haven't been updated since the 70-s.

Our room was clean location was great but facilities need an update you can tell it is very dated

The mattress sloped on both sides so you rolled out and off. Not good sleep. Balcony view was nice. New carpeting. Breakfast is only coffee juice bagels yogurt pancake. Pool and hot tub looked well maintained it was outdoors.

Very nice stay on the water

This hotel definitely needs an update.

The location is good-pretty close to the ferry. The ferry has a free shuttle to/from the hotel. The view of the lake from the back of the hotel was quite nice. The room was OK. The hotel is dated. There are no elevators and we were on the 3rd floor. The breakfast was limited-no decaf hot drinks (no hot chocolate, herbal tea or decaf coffee). Pancake machine undercooked the pancakes. Limited bakery options -just bread and bagels. Hard boiled eggs but no egg dish, no hash browns, no butter. Only instant oatmeal. Breakfast was 7 to 9 and they closed on the dot!

Mattresses were little more than covered wood. So old.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Nothing fancy or outstanding, but the sheets were clean, the bed was comfy, and the free breakfast was good.

Room interior very outdated, the wiring for the lights in the room are not stable, cleaning staff is nice but could do a better job. The view isn’t worth the hiked up prices, will not be rebooking.

Great locations by Lake Huron, clean, only negative needs more comfortable beds. Beds are aged.

Breakfast is not so much enjoyable.

The rooms were not very clean for me or anyone in my party. There was a sticky substance on the bedside drawer. The toilet was dirty (there was hair in between the seat and the back of the toilet) as was the fridge. All this was right when we got the room. My friends sink overflowed and she called and asked 2 times and no one came to fix. When we approached the front desk the people at the counter immediately said “well I didn’t take that call” or “wasn’t me”. Super unprofessional and took sometime for them to reassure they would fix it. The bed was also lopsided in that room as well. She paid for a two bed room and they had to share a bed because the one was broken. The area around and near the lake front did not look like the pictures and was very rocky. No real beachy area. Also not very accessible unless they can get you a first floor room which they were not able to accommodate initially for an elderly woman. Someone with our group had to switch rooms with her. Then later on they gave our friend with the sink a new room on the ground floor. I understand it can be sold out but honestly it did not appear to be. I’ve worked in hotels before and this one needs some work.

Overall the stay was great except the hot tub didnt work and there was a dead frog in the pool. The view was breathtaking

Is a nice place with a nice location however they are not to worry about cleaning the bathroom was dirty upon our arrival you can tell they dont put alot pf effort in cleaning the room or any outdoor area. They need to put more mantainces in the hotel. I been staying there since 2011 every year it use to be very good and clean and the pool area was great but now is just getting worse as the time goes by.
