Cute hostel. Towels not included but otherwise excellent. Very convenient to ferry and parking just outside. However it was $15 NZD per night and not $10 as the listing suggests.

Amazing stay at this hostel. Everything was super great. Elena, at the reception was very helpful and so pleasant to talk too. I have travel to many countries and this hostel is top on my list. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

Upon arrival, the employees at the front desk were incredible! Very kind. At first, everything was clean but as time went by (I stayed for 2 weeks), the bathrooms became filthy, water everywhere all the time, no toilet paper, no hand paper, the floor was disgusting. The same thing happened in the room, as the girls left, they emptied their trash on the carpet and made it horrible for the ones who stayed (chips, kleenex, dirt on the carpets that were never cleaned). There was also no air conditioning, which I live well with in summer but everyone’s wet towels began to smell and the room was not an enjoyable place to be in. There was also a man, don’t know if he worked there or not but was always in the kitchen and seemed to make everyone uncomfortable, myself included.

What a great stay I had in this hostel! First the location is great in the center of the city, very easy to walk anywhere. Parking spaces available for a decent fee if needed. All the staff is amazing, always very helpful and friendly! Great vibe in the hostel, quite social! Good facilities, 4$ laundry, free pool, chess and more. Clean kitchen, spacious enough for all the guest, everything is in great conditions, and good showers. Good wifi speed. About the rooms, the beds are amazing with the curtains and usb A/C sockets, and storage under the bed. Only bad thing is that it was too hot (really need AC or at least a big fan), particularly as my room for 6 was small. But overall I’d recommend 100% and it’s easily one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! Thanks to everyone!

The bathroom wasn’t clean. It’s not very insulated so you can hear everything. You get what you pay for. It was cool to see all the backpackers.

Had a pretty positive experience at this hostel. Staff greeting you at the desk were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy but the double bed sheets looked like they hadn't been changed. The toilet didn't get checked that often and so the bin was overflowing, no toilet paper and the floor was wet a lot. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and really appreciated that, after l sent an email, they helped us out and put us near the bathrooms and lift because my daughter has a disability. I would certainly stay here again.

Hostel is in a good location and in great condition. Has a friendly atmosphere. Bed was really comfy but didn't get much sleep due to people outside yelling from 3am - 6am. WiFi was difficult to connect to. Otherwise a good stay.

Good clean basic double room with en-suite. Very comfortable bed and lots of cheap Asian food places nearby.

The hostel and staff was very friendly and helpful. The only down was the noice from outside, there were constant fights from the “ store “ across the street and if you didn’t have any earplugs they you wouldn’t be able to sleep.

It was a good place to stay, except they need to do something about the front door. If your key doesn’t work or you haven’t booked in yet, you can be waiting quite a while until another guest lets you in or finally the person behind the desk comes and opens the door which is a hassle for them as there is a fair way for them to come to get to the door

I am so much satisfied to stay here. Good location, Clean and Cozy all spaces like lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Even people who I met there were so nice by chance. Irene who a staff is friendly and fun. So I was happy with her while staying. Thank you so much, I had fun my AKL travel more than what I expected. I will not forget it! :D

I really liked staying at YHA International Hostel. Checking in was easy, although it wasn’t until 2 PM I was able to store my bags until check-in. It was very clean and there was plenty of room in the kitchen to make your own meals and cook. The staff was very accommodating if you needed anything. The rooms were very nice although they were a little hot we kept the windows open, they did have a few fans in the room so that helped some. The other girls in the hostel were very nice and easy to talk to, and I made a few new friends.Overall I would recommend YHA to anybody to stay there
