Fantastisch hotel, heel mooie kamer, uitgebreid buffet ontbijt (brunch), heel goed gelegen om Ulm te bezoeken. Vriendelijk onthaal. Gewoon perfect.

I checked in on an unseasonably warm day. I asked if I could have a bottle of cold water. The front-desk staffer quickly pulled one from the fridge … and charged me 5€. When I took the bottle up to my room, I saw that there was already a bottle of the very same (room temp) water on a table, included as an amenity. I came away from that little interaction feeling a bit gypped out of an extra 5€. Couldn’t the clerk simply have given me the cold water or at least offered to trade it for what was already in my room??? Come ON !!!

Position of the hotel cannot be better, right at the Dome steps, and within few minutes walking from the plenty of restaurants of Fisherviertel.. Excellent, modern rooms.. only the shower is „designed“ to poor US standard with a fixed shower head at the top (note, no bidet). Top service, very well organised ( notice Covid restrictions) and generous breakfast, great care and help from reception. Strongly recommended!

Lovely room, really close to everything. Was only in town one night, but staff seemed great. Watched my luggage while I explored the next morning. Interesting bathroom, curves around and was nearly as big as my room!

We stayed here for one night while transitioning from the middle-Rhein to Munich. Very easy walk from the Hauptbanhof. Adjacent to the Munster and Christmas Markets. Location is perfect for exploring the Fishermen's Quarter as well. Staff was very friendly and professional. I "tried" my German language skills, but the staff was happy to converse in English. I'd stay here again if visiting Ulm in the future.

Great stay! Very modern and rustic look. Well renovated and the stay was very pleasant. Well located just walks away from the church!

Very confortable and well located hotel. Staff is young and friendly. Rooms are large and very clean. Wooden floor is very warm. Very spatious shower. Reach breakfast buffet, just with a little to much less fruits.The hotel is located near the Munster and quite in the centre of the town. Nearby you could find all facilities, restaurants and shopping mals.

Room fine and clean, if somewhat small. Those water-saving washbasin taps are a nightmare! Also, hot water not very hot around breakfast time, while the radiators just switched off at seemingly random intervals, not seeming to respond to the thermostat control.

The hotel is very well-located, very close to the Dom and nearby restaurants and shops. The staff is quite friendly and the breakfast is good. The wifi is also reliable. Parking took us a bit of time to find, because the nearest parkhaus was full. All in all, we have greatly enjoyed our stay in Ulm and highly recommend Goldenes Rad.
