Nice clean hotel. The only downside was that the proprietor was not around much. He answered his phone, though, so we could make arrangements that I otherwise would have liked to make in person face-to-face. The location is good. Free ski-buss stops in front of then hotel and runs every 30 minutes while the slopes are open and takes you to Titlis ground station.

Good location, quiet. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended!

Beautiful family-run hotel with free parking and has a lift. Centrally located on the main road of Engelberg with less than 5 walking distance from the train station. We stayed in the Spannort Suite which has two bedrooms and bathrooms with clean with comfortable beds. Nice host with good service. Recommended!

Exceeded my expectations. Our room was small but it was fully compensated by delicious breakfast, good sauna/steam room, friendly staff, good location. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel close to the train station, and if you arrive by 4 PM, you can take free ski shuttle no. 7 to the hotel. Stayed one night and left my luggage when I went skiing. When I returned, I was offered free use of the spa downstairs to take a shower. Breakfast was excellent, with 3minute eggs cooked to order, or fresh scrambled eggs. Fresh croissants and loaves of bread, fresh fruit salad, cold cuts and cheese, various dry cereals and yogurt made for a great breakfast before skiing. And that same free shuttle takes you to the Titlis Talstation, where you can rent your ski equipment and go directly up the mountain by cable car.

On a road trip of Europe this has been the friendliest, cleanest hotel by far. It's in a great position with fantastic views, and the room was extremely comfortable. It's a family run business and you can tell they really care - the place is immaculate and thoughtfully decorated. They speak good, fluent English. Other Expedia hotels make the same claim but in reality grunts and sign language are so often the norm. Oh, and mercifully the internet worked! This is a wonderful hotel, very reasonably priced. I'd certainly stay here again.

Very nice location. Hotel is close to center, bus stop, and railway station . Standard Rooms are very nice with all needs. All very clean. Suite room offers you a perfect solution with a small kitchen very useful for smart and cheaper meals. I'll suggest this accommodation anytime. We lowed the in-room free coffee machine for a sweater awakening. People very very kind and pleasant, always on your disposal for information and all your needs. Even the power adapter for your devices. Really enjoyed staying here. Thank you so much.

Fresh and clean hotel with great service.

Beautiful room, incredible view, spacious balcony, nicely appointed with a kitchenette. The included breakfast was very good with a wide assortment of breakfast foods.

Arrived as a stopover mid summer. Beautiful chocolate box Swiss town and hotel was great. Maybe more variety at breakfast would help.

The staffs were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the hotel was great and the location is good.

Hotel was in an excellent location, only a couple of minutes to the train station and into town for dinner on an evening. The free ski bus stops right outside of the hotel and is 2-3mins to the main lift area, although the walk to the lifts (in ski boots) is still <10mins. Rooms are a little small but very comfortable with plenty of storage and wardrobe space, bathrooms seem to have been recently upgraded and are modern and clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice etc. Staff were all friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Engelberg!

Just needed a room for one person for one night. First, the staff was amazing and the breakfast was great. Some little things however went wrong. First, description on Hotels.com says Single Room, Balcony, Mountain View but there isnt a balcony and I guess its a mountain view, but its directly over a parking lot and can be, at times, noisy. There is not a balcony. Also, the basket of toiletries had half full shampoo and soap and the nail file had already been used...so, that was a little off-putting. Other reviews have also indicated spotty housekeeping so I guess I should have known better!

We rented a junior suite for our family of four. We were very pleased with the room and the hotel staff.

The hotel was great. It is nicely located only a short 10 minute walk from the downtown area and about the same to Mount Titlis. The rooms were clean, breakfast buffet was yummy, and the hotel staff were able to answer our flurry of questions regarding where to go and how to do it.

Check-in was painfully slow. The lack of computers was obvious when the lady checking us in was so confused when two families were checking into three rooms. After she struggled for a while we were able to get it straightened out.

I booked a single room with balcony through Expedia five months in advance only to find when I got there, there was only one single room that didn't have a balcony. The other rooms were full and although the owner offered to do her best to change the room the next day, it would have caused her and me a lot of inconvenience (I had already unpacked and would have to pack again, leave my luggage while I was out the next day, then unpack again at the end of the day into the new room). I was told that Expedia got it wrong. Expedia also stated that taxes were included but I had to pay a local tax on checking out. I have another booking with Expedia for later in the year and am now worried how many details are incorrect on that booking. The single room had a double bed which was nice but it was a very small room. It was at the back of the hotel and away from the road so was very quiet but the better views were from the front. The guests were mainly Scandinavians who all seemed to speak English so easy to get on with, with a few other nationalities. The Wellness Centre in the basement was small but very good. Localization is not good.going to hotel is very difficult .

We had a wonderful time at the Belmont. Fabulous location and very friendly staff. Room was nice but we found the bed uncomfortable. Breakfast was great. Spa and Sauna facilities were wonderful. Definetely recommend the Belmont and its staff.
