Everyone was nice. Difficult with parking if you get home late. clean and nice rooms. not the first or last time I stay here

The property location is good about a 10 minute walk to the Castelo. The area in general is good although it is being refurbished.

Albergo del Sole is newly renovated to highly exclusive rooms in the central island of Taranto. It has a sea side and a "roundabout" side of rooms, and it is two different worlds from your room, we could see when we left. Taranto old town itself is still partly run-down, and Albergo del Sole is on the side of the island, that is not really modernized. Which makes the experience even more authentic. The staff is very charming, and the breakfast is far above normal Italian breakfast. A hotel really worth visiting in a city area really worth visiting.

The hotel is in 2 buildings in the old town, right across from each other-one with sea views and one without. They are modern yet seem a little out of place for the ‘old city’ neighborhood.we stayed in the one with the sea view. We had a corner room so had 2 views of the sea. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was small and a typical Italian breakfast. Free parking next to hotel although space is limited. The old town is rundown and in need of major renovation. A number of Italian seafood restaurants in the area. A highlight of our stop there was the military tour of the castle.

Stayed for a few nights. Good location, nice and cosy rooms. Seafood restaurant right next to the hotel. Walking distance to downtown of Taranto. The hotel provided maps of Taranto, sights to see etc.

Easy to find. Staff very helpful. Lovely room overlooking sea. Very clean and well planned. Nice breakfast. We booked this hotel as a stop over and we're very pleasantly surprised. Would recommend.

We loved being in the rather tatty old city. It's being gentrified at rapid pace but despite all retains its fishing port character. Do ask for a room with water view, ours had a project over all. Staff members were quiet, but voluble with asked. The desk clerk sent us to Restaurant Paranza for dinner, where we put ourselves in the hands of the local owner and ate like kings.

A walk to the Castle and local restaurants. There was a local feast on the weekend we were there and we were able to experience fireworks.

Arrived late at night on the train. The hotel is a quick 10 minute walk. Located on a nice piazza can, walk to duomo and old part of the city. Room was clean, bathroom was updated. Good breakfast and helpful staff at the desk provided directions for catching a series of busses.

Excellent hotel. The front desk staff members were especially nice and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, the location of the property was perfect from the perspective of a tourist such as myself and the rates were very fair. I stayed twice over a period of 10 days.

We loved this hotel. Besides the modern design and convenient location to old town Taranto, the staff was the most helpful and generous that we encountered in Italy. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Taranto.

This was a very nice modern hotel and the staff were very keen to be helpful--for instance, when I left out my travel kettle an adaptor for it appeared together with some paper napkins and a plate so that I could cater for myself more conveniently.
