Didn’t actually stay at Fernleaf, was offered an “upgrade” at Ambassador Thermal Motel when collecting key. Perhaps the Fernleaf might have been better, although it was very convenient for town and eateries.

Room was spacious and tidy especially for price. I assume it was shared hot water and the hot water was all gone when I went to use it.
Having to go to another location a few km away for check in is also a bit inconvenient. Surely a there must be a better option. Digital check in?

Happy with the room need to uograde tv and what can be watched bed was excellent lovely sleep didnt like we couldnt use the backdoor as it was locked but overall would stay again

I liked how this accommodation was central and handy to a lot of facilities. The room had everything we needed, bed was a bit hard, but that's just my opinion. and the shower wasn't hot
I didn't like how above us were very noisy. I could hear TV, talking and running around late at night. I was also surprised to see ants everywhere, all over the kitchen and dining table.

The property was a convenient location. It was very basic but good value for money for a one night stay. The room was extremely basic didn’t have a sofa to sit in the living area had to sit on the bed. The bed in the living area was broken. However the property was clean.

The motel is walking distance to the mall. Very comfortable and reasonable priced as we only spent the late afternoon/ nights there.

No BBQ facilities as stated and bathroom was leaking, all windows are faulty and AC was broken, so at the time we were told we are being upgraded. Upon moving we were given a room without full kitchen which is part reason we booked and was a very tiny space. Our experience was terrible and would not recommend…

Big unit, clean and quiet since it's off the main road, needs a little bit of updating, however perfect for our budget with 3 teenagers in tow.

It's a bargain stay for a group of 8 people. Comfortable beds and spacious. Tidy and useful kitchen. Handy to amenities.

We liked the hot springs hot tub a lot. Room size was plenty big. Bed was extremely comfortable. Full kitchen, which was nice.
The owners, Willie and Cherie, are very nice people and were so helpful with excursion planning and were quick to address our questions and needs.

Overall a nice comfortable place with plenty of space for a big family such as ours. Very good value for money. Some of my family members also enjoyed the mineral bath at the back of the property. The fact the wifi was fast and the TV had Netflix was a real plus among the kids.
Too bad the clothes dryer was not operating when we stayed.

Bed was not very comfortable, dipped in the middle. No air-conditioning and was very hot. The couple looking after the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

It was really nice to stay this motel. It was clean and comfortable. Everything that I need was equipped and easy to use. The location is easily accessible to popular places. The spa was also fantastic. The hosts are wonderful and very friendly. I really enjoyed the stay here.

Close to down town and close to attractions in the area. Used the mineral water pool as a added bonus.

We enjoyed the pool and were very thankful for the fans in the rooms as it was hot. The lino floors were quite sticky and the base of the shower wasn't the cleanest (fortunately I wear thongs /flip flops whenever I travel).

Owners were very friendly and helpful. Spacious and good facilities but very hot at night and no air con. Nicr enough but I don’t think it was worth the price.

Nice Motel, but was overcharged $1. Would be good to be able to access pool and spa til at least 10pm.

Nice one-night stay in Rotorua. Very helpful attendant recommended great restaurant and sites. We walked to the restaurant and park to see thermals. Spring fed hot tub looked green. Not sure if that is normal but would have used it anyway if I had had time.

Large rooms and full size kitchen with excellent heated pool. Unfortunately one bed was rock hard, the other was fine. Kitchen well equipped, but lack of powerpoints made cooking challenging and the oven was highly temperamental. Friendly helpful staff and good laundry facilities

Very friendly people. We really enjoyed our stay. Very warm comfortable rooms. Has a hot thermal pool and a warm swimming pool. Great for relaxing
