Our stay at El Royale was INCREDIBLE! We loved the friendly service and extreme cleanliness of the room and property. Having the little carport next to our room was an amazing touch and made us smile. We will certainly be returning to El Royale whenever we need to stay in the area!

This little hotel was a nice place to stay for our Universal Studios trip. The rooms are modern and clean.
The staff was great! We mistakenly thought check out was at 11:00am instead of 10:00am. The owner was very nice in accommodating us for a later check out. We would definitely stay here again.

Called a day ahead to request an early check and was accommodated at arrival. Staff offered me a bottle of water and showed me to my room. The room was perfect for a solo traveler and had everything I needed with plenty of room and a comfy bed. I was there for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, so this was perfect since it was just a few minutes down the road and the cheapest in the area considering everyone else had jacked their rates up for the event. It was nice to easily get back to the hotel after a long night.

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel/ motel is conveniently located to Universal Studios and the valley. It had a cute bungalow feel. I traveled alone but felt safe. The staff was very friendly, especially Xavier. He was very polite and made me laugh! I will stay here again.

Friendly staff. 12 minute walk to Universal Studio
Parking is a bit cramped in the courtyard parking are but it’s in a secure area and they roll the gate closed at night.

Very close to Universal Studios, nice place to sleep, good places to buy groceries or to go dinner.
To improve: If you don't go very early to the free coffee and bread provided by the hotel, you get nothing, you should get a piece of bread if you go at a proper time 7 am to 10 am is the breakfast, its not cool that people that get up sooner can get all pieces.

We went to Universal Studios to celebrate my son's birthday and we stayed one night at the Royal Hotel. The customer service is excellent. Xavier and Oscar were very friendly at all times. I highly recommend it. The rooms are larger than I expected. The room is very comfortable and very clean, it has a microwave and refrigerator, the location is perfect, 10 minutes walk to the universal shuttle and one block away you can find different stores like Ralph's, Walgreens, 7Eleven, we definitely plan to return. Thanks.

Xsavia was amazing! So polite and friendly. The photos of the property do not do it justice. The rooms are so modern and spacious. It was absolutely spotless, I was quite shocked at how clean it was.
It took 15 minutes to walk to universal but we got a taxi back and that was only $10

Great location, walking distance to Universal Studios. Room was clean and spacious with free parking. Ralph's, 7-eleven, Walgreen...close to hotel. Xavier was very helpful and friendly! We stayed for 2 days. Would stay here again!

The room was very nice and newly renovated. Had issues with the service: Asked the staff 3-4x whether parking on the premises is possible or not during our stay at Universal Studios (we stayed the night before the visit für approx 300 USD/night w/o breakfast). The answers were check upon arrival, check tomorrow and you should have asked yesterday as well as I cannot call my boss, he does not like being called in the mornings. I also saw no machine for customers for ice - no possibility to fill cooling boxes etc.

Room was cozy and clean. Had a strange experience upon Checkin when the desk attendant required us to email them our booking confirmation email in order to get our room. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Very nice stay and place. Free parking near your door. Coffee in the lobby, nice soaps in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The walls are a bit thin so i heard my neighbors but nothing disruptive just coming and going.

This was a great stay... private little garage, clean newly remodeled room and only a 15 min walk to Universal Studios tram. Check in was a little slow and no breakfast close by. Also, no room darkening shades... shutters let quite a bit of light in. Closed gate at night for security.

The parking! Each place had their own parking. The room was clean, ac cool, bathroom nice, staff friendly, food convenient. Road was busy, two dispensaries right next to the hotel 👎there were a lot of homeless wondering in the evening.
They have a gate they close at night at the hotel.

This place was really cute and clean. Comfortable beds, staff was very accommodating and great. Motel was updated. Secure fenced parking. Great price. I would definitely recommend this one.

Check in was something. I went into the office and nobody at front desk. I called out even went back into there office area nobody to be found. After 15 minutes someone showed up but come to find out room was not ready. Inside windows need to be darkened way too much light coming in from outside lights. But other than that not a bad place. Good bed and shower.

The owners of this property take tremendous pride in this small boutique hotel. Room was newly renovated and spotless. All interactions with management were very friendly and humorous. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

A nicely renovated cottage-style hotel in a convenient location close to Universal Studios (we could walk in about 10 minutes to the free tram that takes you to the gate) and other city sights. Safe, gated location with free parking, although the parking was tight in the garage, they did offer to park out front of the room if it was too tight, giving guests a preference which was nice. Friendly front desk.

Great place! It was nice and cozy and quiet! Staff was exceptionally friendly! Room looked recently remodeled. Very spacious! Individual garage for every room right next to the room. Definitely recommend!!!!

This is a cute small place conveniently located to universal. The man at the lobby was so friendly and kind. He walked us to our room! The room was nicely updated, and very clean. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet here. I slept well. I loved the bar soap too!
