Everytime I come it always so clean and the staff is friendly

Check in was very good, the staff on duty were very helpful, great customer service. Prior to going I was told that the site had a pool. The pool was inoperable, the ice machine on the 4th floor was broken. The shower had contained mold especially on the chalking. Departure the next morning was completely opposite my arrival, the person who was on the desk was cold as ice and lacked hospitality and manners.

They are only downfall is that they are advertising indoor pool and when I got there with all four of my grandchildren, the pool was closed and to be honest that was the only reason why I chose that hotel because of the pool so that the kids can have an excellent time

Mold on the curtains and shower was filthy. The carpet felt wet and it smelled terrible.

Reasonable price and our made sure we had plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was much better than most hotels in the low end price range.

One of the nicest Holiday Inns i have stayed at. Will definitely be returning.

Location was ideal to destinations and the staff was elite.

Hotel and service was good. Our ac was not working properly and it spoiled our sleep

While at Carolina Beach, decided we would like to spend the night near by. This hotel came up as only 14 miles away which was reasonable to us. However, upon booking and heading out the check in, we realized the distance was point to point and not driving distance. Had to add almost 40 minutes of travel time because of the logistics error.

I really don’t know how this hotels reviews are so high. 1) the buffet breakfast was nothing to brag about, what they called scrambled eggs were absolutely disgusting. 2) the room I had reserved isn’t the type they had for me, I had requested two beds and they had one available. Luckily this was ok for our stay since not everyone was able to come. 3) as soon as you walk in the first set of doors there is humidity and black mold everywhere 4) the hotel doesn’t have regular tv, it uses Roku which is not something I normally use 5) the tv didn’t actually work. I asked for help and they said change the input button or I can put you in a different room. I didn’t want to change rooms, we had our dogs with us and I did not feel like taking the large dog kennel apart and back together all over again.. the night person came up pushed all the buttons and again offered to put Us in another room… morning came manager wouldn’t Be available until 3 pm, we were Not going to waste the one full day we had in the area waiting for a tv fix which was important to help keep our pups calm and quiet from all the noises of the hotel, switched rooms only To get a smaller room with no freezer Which we needed for our coooler the next Day and also had tons of Black mold. Finally did tell the manager Whom apologized, said that they were trying to switch over to a new Cable provider and they stated they couldn’t refund the day that they normally would have because I booked it through a third party…

We came in late and left early so we really didn’t see much. However the gentleman that was there that night when we got back to the hotel was very kind and helpful.

Friendly staff.

The first room we were given had a toilet that wouldn't flush so we were moved to a different room. The second room didn't have body wash in the dispenser in the shower and shampoo dispenser pump wasn't working. Other than that it was a nice place to stay. Wonderful breakfast!

Clean and quiet

The stay was pretty good. The family and I only stayed a night. However, at breakfast my son got a chocolate milk that had chunks in it because it was expired. We told a worker there and she just said “gross” then walked away.

Had issues with the toilet flushing. The manager kindly gave us a key to another room on the floor below until maintenance could come and repair.

While the room was nice and check in was easy they did not pick up trash until late every afternoon. The lighting in the room was very poor.

Great price on two room one of them dog freindly.About a 10 minute drive to Oak Island. There was a dog fee though of $75 which would have been nice if it was listed on the booking.

Very nice hotel in a safe area with very friendly staff!

Overall, very good- new, clean, good service. The only was the sleeping sofa- I know they are usually not that great but given the fact that everything else looked brand new, and that the mattress on the bed itself was fantastic, the one on the sofa was terrible- maybe 2.5 inches thick, and the frame was "wavy", extremely uncomfortable. Had to pull it back in and sleep on the sofa itself. All else was great.

So much for a pet-friendly hotel. There's a $50.00 a night pet fee added to your bill. And for what; 20x20 square grass area full of dog poop. We paid almost $500.00 for two nights that we had to check out early and didn't get a refund. But thanks to the manager who changed our room because of heavy traffic in the hallway we were not able to sleep. Please don't list your hotel as pet-friendly if you are going to charge $50 a night per pet in addition to your high hotel fees.

The bad: Cleanliness and presentation are below the average. Garbage and weeds scattered around the hotel. Inside common areas and room could have been cleaner. Poor craftsmanship with how some things were done when the hotel was built. The good: Breakfast area was nice and had plenty of good options. Short drive to oak island or Southport.

Nice lobby, GREAT breakfast, friendly staff. Only problem was my elderly parents had a terrible mildew smell in their room and locking the door was very finicky. We were told to turn the air down and make it colder. It would have been nice to offer some kind of discount for the less than accommodating space.

It was really a good surprise, everything was spotless and new. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly. Everything in the room worked as it should and bathroom was updated and clean.

The aquarium in the lobby was amazing.

Everything was great, the only problem was the air conditioner started making loud noise in the middle of the night. But that stuff happens now and then at other places too
