The only thing we didn't like is that our room was next to the court yard and you can hear the other people

Arriving to the Vineyard on one of the most crowded weekends of the summer we were delighted to arrive on the Pied Piper Ferry, walk two blocks with our luggage, and check into this hotel. We walked to dinner nearby. Quick trip and only a one night stay, we were delighted to find this hotel willing to rent for just one night. Most of the others had minimums. Decor was spot on. Feel was young and clean. I would recommend again for someone looking for a weekend without a car and a way to enjoy the Vineyard without sitting in traffic. Breakfast was minimal. Maybe too minimal. Coffee was self service and fully outfitted with non-dairy milk options. Counter space in the bathroom is very limited. No USB-c outlets. Could add a night light in the bathroom but most hotels need this too. Got a great night’s sleep.

Really enjoyed our stay and our interactions with the staff. The only thing that wasn't ideal was the street noise. Without earplugs it was nreaaly impossible to sleep before 1am and after 5am when the street cleaners and garbage trucks came every morning.

Includes nice breakfast, located right in the center of Edgartown.

The cookies are amazing. Everything was great and having beach chairs available to grab and go is such a wonderful convenience. Perfect location. Super clean. Great bed. Outside space is perfect for a nightcap. Thanks Stefan and staff for thinking of everything.

Beautiful room, the staff were wonderful helpful and always available. We will definitely stay at another Lark Hotel.

Breakfast was fantastic and LOVE, loved the atmosphere of the hotel. Also at the end of a beautiful day, sitting outside and the glass fire pit on and comfortable outdoor seating was relaxing.

We stayed at The Sydney for our honeymoon. Ellen at the front desk was incredibly nice on check in and we were upgraded to a beautiful Lark Suite. The hotel is gorgeous and so clean. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Looks newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Large room with comfortable bed. AC worked great. Courteous staff. Walkable area close to shops and restaurants as well as bike rental. 3 min walk to bus stop. Small plates breakfast selection offered daily. Cons: Very noisy from street. Needs noise insulated windows. We got a handicap bathroom that is Beautiful but to shower you had to stand to the side so water would not go out.

We selected the Sidney on location. price and amenities. They all met our expectation. It's in the middle of town and easy walk to everything. The daily breakfast was great and the staff were terrific and very helpful. The firepit is a nice touch. Room very comfortable and clean.

Stunning decor, comfy bed, yummy breakfast, friendly staff all in a fantastic location. Loved the outdoor space with the fire pit also. Highly recommended.

We love the hotel but the newer rear section lacks decent soundproofing. Our neighbor through the wall was conducting business on his speaker phone for hours. After dinner we had to call the front desk to have someone go tell him to turn it down. ( Why was he even here if doing work??!) Then our upstairs neighbor was a stomper, late into the evening and soon after we woke up. Not sure how you fix that. Very disappointing on a vacation after spending what we did for this hotel. (Location excellent btw.)

We absolutely loved our stay at The Sydney! It was perfectly situated in adorable Edgartown. Wish we could've stayed longer.

My wife and I stayed in the Captain's House section of The Sydney in September 2022. At check-in we got two room keys, one of which did not work. We stayed in Room #6 on the third floor. There are 33 steps to the third floor, with no elevator. The room was small and the bathroom tiny. There were no luggage racks and only two hooks with two hangars affixed to a wall, so we put our suitcases on the floor. The safe was on the floor in a nook and could only be accessed on one's hands and feet. The Sydney's wi-fi did not work all day Saturday or Sunday. The price we paid was outrageous for the value received. Positives: The staff (including Angela and housekeeping) was responsive, the location was outstanding, and the breakfast was satisfactory.

The Sydney was phenomenal! We enjoyed the professional staff, cleanliness and the amazing room. We will define back!!

What an adorable hotel! The staff was super friendly, the rooms were very clean and well-appointed (the beach towels in the closet were a nice touch!) and the continental breakfast was delicious. Plus, the location is hard to beat. I will definitely be back!

We were celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday and I had arranged some flowers and wine be in the room when we arrived. Not only were they there, the flowers were beautiful and the wine was perfect. They even added a delicious dessert and birthday card in the room as well. We will definitely stay here again!!!
