Room wasn’t ready at 4 it was 4:35 check in . 3 other parties had to wait also . Ice maker didn’t work which isn’t good at a beach area

Beautiful place to stay! Rooms were very clean and breakfast was good as well.

Stayed at this hotel many times. Sadly this might be our last. Over the years they have raised the price substantially which is expected in this economy but with that, some normal upkeep or maintenance would be expected. Upon check in not a single parking spot was available next to our building due to no “room spacific” parking so we had to tote all our luggage all the way across the parking lot after a long hot day on the beach. When we got up to our room we realized the door to our room was wide open due to the door not being hung properly and needs slammed to close. which made for a nice sticky and hot room which took forever to cool down. After a long hot day on the beach that’s not ideal. The shower has absolutely no water pressure at all and no temperature control water is either way to hot or freezing cold. Not that tv is a huge deal for us while on vacation but most hotels come standard with all your basic channels which this one did not. Just news and maybe 5 other channels that have shows on. No Nickelodeon or Disney for the kids which can make for a rough time during bed time. Only coming for a short stay we did not pack body wash just planing to use the wash supplied by the hotel. To our surprise there was none at all in room. All minor problems but for the price not expected. So all in all we normally love this place but this trip in itself we were not pleased and hope they make the updates/changes needed to make this hotel our go to on the island.

Nice spacious room with a view of the harbor. Only problem was the very noisy ac unit going on and off. Made it hard to sleep.

We had a wonderful time! The pier access was a major plus! Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. The pool and outdoor area/fire pits were all really nice for relaxing evenings back at the hotel. The continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had! The kitchenette was really handy. There were a couple of minor issues with the room. The tv stand was broken/missing a door, and the bathroom door stuck and didn’t shut properly. It was a girls’ trip though and none of us minded. The price of the room couldn’t be beaten, and we would definitely come back!

Staff were very helpful and although our original booking at the Anchor Inn was not available the Marina Bay hotel allowed us to stay there in a nice 3d floor room with balcony overlooking Chincoteague Bay. Very happy with this arrangement !

We have stayed at Anchor Inn many times over the years and I can say that this has always been a great motel but now after the renovations, this is an even better motel. My only complaint would be that there is no access for any disabled persons. I already knew this but, seems like a ramp to just the first floor wouldn’t be that hard to create. Until you need those things, you just don’t appreciate how important they really are.

Hotel staff nice, checkin and out fast, room was clean, breakfast was good, balcony bay view was beautiful, we enjoyed our stay.

Loved the fact that it was right on the water with views of boats and marsh. The pool was heated, and fire pits were welcoming.

It was a great experience: clean, quiet, great breakfast and beautiful water views.

Staff member running the pressure washer outside the rooms for 3 hours one afternoon. Wifi did not work.

Quiet, clean and convenient place to stay. This is our 3rd trip to the island and our 3rd stay with the Anchor Inn/Marina Bay. This was our first stay in the Anchor Inn part of the hotel complex and we enjoyed our room, pleasant view, and all the hotel amenities. IF only our upstairs neighbor hadn't spilled a full cup of hot coffee on her deck which doused me while I was enjoying a quiet morning. NO fault of the hotel.

Pool and fire pits

Hotel was beautiful! Views were spectacular! Breakfast had a wide variety of good to please even a picky eater like myself. Check in and check out quick and efficient! Highly recommend!!

Nice location

We went to Chincoteague for the pony swim. Our hotel was two blocks from the fairgrounds and our room had a deck off of it overlooking the water. Everything was within walking distance and the hotel staff were very helpful with directions and places to visit. The last night of the festival there were fireworks that we watched from our deck. Awesome. I would definitely stay here again

The Anchor Inn has beautiful views of the intercoastal waterway from the balconies. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful check-in.

Great location,

The room was great, and we had a nice view. The staff was helpful. The only downside was the fire alarm was missing and the shower squeaked, nothing we couldn’t live with, though.

I really liked the amenities it was connected to in its sister hotel. Liked having a kitchen ( If I had needed) Nice location, nice people at desk
